Is Rev. Wright insane???

.....I'm leaning towards YES he is batshit crazy.

Obama is in trouble when he has to answer questions about Wright and the more Wright gets on television.

I've been to black churches before and I never heard anything remotely close to what Wright preached.

Wright would kind of benefit from Obama not getting the Democrat nomination because it would fuel his argument that the black people are still oppressed at a high level to this day.

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

I'm proud of obama for avoiding Wright, he has no need for bias, racist, pretend instrument of god. Throughout my study, only Rev. MLK has been the only black american that had no hate,no bias,no racism, in him. He preach for the ultimate good. No violence, no aggression, no controversial bullshit.

Wright imo wants all the attention he can get, obama is dodging everything thrown at him about wright. His having a hard time, and this piece of shit keeps running his mouth. Wright needs to stfu and go away. I can't stand whyning preachers like him, its bad enough I can't stand all the whyning democrats do. I sure can't bare a whyning democrat preacher!

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

Well obviously Wright wasn't preaching politics in Church. This is such an overblown story. I have no idea my Pastor's politics, I assume Obama didn't either.
I'd say he's no more of a nutter then those who think 911 was an inside job. I think the AIDS thing is more logical then that. Not saying much but still.

Well I guess if that's true for the US then it's true for England too.

Wright WAS preaching politics though. Right now all he wants to do is become another Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton....great, one more guy who can pimp out his race so he can get on TV!

Letting Wright have his own little speaking party was an extremely bad idea and it'll hurt Obama in North Carolina. The media built Obama and now the media is destroying Obama so that when the Democrats shaft him (because there's no way he can win a general election being as liberal as he is) people won't riot ......as much, they will be hella pissed off and the majority of African-Americans will feel basically like they are persona non grata in the Democrat Party and uh oh....what other party do they have to choose from???

If Obama isn't the candidate for the Democrat Party then all hell is going to break loose and the Democrats will have a big part of their base vanish and they will lose MANY MANY MANY elections, denying Obama his spot might just destroy the Democrat Party.

Which may lead to an opening ....hello Libertarian Party ;D

It is true for England too and I hope you're right about Obama not being able to win in November. Although I still want Hillary Clinton to win the Democratic nomination so she can run on a platform of bringing honour and integrity back to the White House.

Is she going to leave Bill in Harlem??? ;D

Obama is another George McGovern and we all saw how THAT panned out.

Plus with Obama and Hillary splitting roughly 50% of the Democratic vote it will be EASY for McCain to draw over some disappointed Democrats, more Independents (especially if Obama is the candidate), and win an overall majority.

The Democrat Party is fractured and will only become MORE fractured in the coming months

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

McGovern was more John Kerry then Barack Obama.
I don't think Obama is to liberal for America especially in a time where the liberal/conservative line is drawn at the war. If he can make the war an issue then he will win no doubt. Kerry couldn't do it, Americans voted on moral issues (gay marriage) because they were sick of seeing gays kissing on city hall steps. Kerry never established a position and it cost him which seems impossible considering how big of a blunder the war was.
Obama is winning all the red states in the primary and he is drawing record voters to the polls each time out, I think he might be able to steal a few of those from McCain.

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

I heard the term "public divorce" used to describe it ;D
Im not sure why Obama did not see a problem with this himself before the relationship with Wright even became public. If he was on the ball he would have abandoned Wright when all of this stuff first came out a couple months back.
There is too much hate behind the words of Wright and it has a bad reflection on Obama that he was so close to him all these years.
The motto "hope" and the image of a uniter does not mesh well with a lot of the ideologies that a lot of Obama's close contacts, including his wife, seem to have :-\

He certainly doesn't seem that interested in seeing Obama be president.

That being said I don't have too much of a problem with the chickens coming home to roost, it doesn't make flying a plane into a building right but its silly to act like we haven't done a lot of things to make a lot of enemies over the years.

Anyway, if Obama's the candidate its better that it gets out now. With the economy like it is and with McCain being about as well versed on economic matters as Baller27 a Democrat will still probably win. Plus there have been a lot of rumors about McCain's personal life, wouldn't be surprised to see something come out. I'd have to give him credit personally, I'd still like to be getting laid when I'm 84. Allegedly.

 McCain #1 isn't a Clinton and #2 isn't friends with anti-American freak shows

Like who you want to but we've had Bush-Clinton-Bush....we don't need another Clinton, especially HILLARY, I'd rather have ROGER or GEORGE Clinton as Pres. than Hillary.

As for Obama he's toast....there's no way he wins a general election now

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

Obama put this away imo. He pulled no punches, did everything you can ask of him to dispel Wright. He put it away yesterday I would hope. I don't see what else he could possibly do. I think republicans hope this makes Obama toast but it won't. You can't listen to that speech and think he suscribes to those views.
Bet you anything the republicans would rather have Hillary then Obama. Guaranteed.

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

More than likely the Conservatives would rather have Hillary because she's a little more towards center....Obama is no different than George W. Bush in 2000 IMO

Obama basically wrote his book on the speeches/surmons Rev. Wright gave.....I'm not sure you can say Obama is opposed to what everything Wright says.

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

I think you need to get one thing straight Lyle; George W. Bush was not a horrible president due to lack of experience. George W. Bush was a horrible president due to an extremely modest intellegence quotient. Perhaps Obama would be a below average president, perhaps not. One thing is certain, he is nothing like Bush.

Re: Is Rev. Wright insane???

America has invaded Iraq and Americans are now fighting and dying there to keep the Iranians in power in Baghdad. Bush has bankrupted the economy and taken the first budget surplus since World War Two given to him by Clinton and turned it into the biggest deficit in history. His tax and economic policies have been a disaster and opinion polls show that the percentage of Americans who think America is on the wrong track hits a new high of 80%.
And what are the liberal media talking about? Obama's pastor.
A couple of weeks ago the New York Times revealed that all the US military analysts used by the media are all part of a Pentagon programme to push the Bush agenda on Iraq, something they were doing a year before we invaded. This is actually against the law in America, yet not one media organisation will even answer questions about why they allowed it to happen and there's a media blackout about it. The US media is worse than Pravda was.

Where did I disprove myself??? I asked YOU to tell me what past Presidents had very little in terms of experience outside of school and ended up being great?

If you bothered to answer that question then you would see that Obama IS more like George W. Bush than you think....Obama is a 1 term Senator....1 term Senators don't make legislation, they don't create a big voting history, and they don't do very much at all except form connections with other older more experienced members of the Senate. So Obama has shown us nothing of what he believes other than CHANGE which could mean ANYTHING and it could be worse for people than the current policies.

As for Bill Ayers he bombed various places and was a member of The Weathermen a radical group which wanted to wage war on American policies and capitalism......a perfect friend (Obama's word for Ayers, not mine) for a major Presidential candidate.
