Showtime Friday Night

This friday night ShoBox brings us a card featuring Andre Dirrell Vs. Anthony Hanshaw, with the undercard of Antonio DeMarco Vs. Juan Castaneda. The undercard kind of interests me more because I am a fan of DeMarco after watching him school Nick Casal(also on the card fighting a brawler). Dirrell is gonna have to show alot more than his hit and run performance against Stevens, Hanshaw is too fast for that crap. I haven't seen much of Hanshaw but he went 12 with RJJ so that carries a little weight. They both look to be boxers mostly, so I can see that turning into a calculated chessmatch type of fight, on the other hand the undercard has 2 hungry young Mexican prospects who should start trading toe-to-toe once the bell rings. A little for everyone on this card.

IMO it is a good card...Nice to see the next generation being seperated in quality already...the winners of these fights step up a notch and the losers find out exactly what needs to be done or should I say they find out IF they have what it takes to be part of the sports future...I wish more cards like this were put on

I'm looking forward to this card. I think Dirrell will give a better effort than last time. He has no choice. Another garbage performance like last time and no one is going to want to televise his ass

If direll runs like he did against the one half of the chin checkers he's going to piss off a whole lot of people.

I've seen DeMarco fight twice in person.

Starts off a bit slow but more the makes up for it once he's warmed up.
Good to see he's finally gonna get some air time.

As for Direll-Hanshaw I expect Hanshaw to win by Decision.

I'm picking Demarco to win this first fight.

Damn, great first round there, I hope they keep this up for the rest of the fight.

Castaneda came back after getting knocked down, but I think he overdid it a bit trying to make it up, and he got second kd.

Nice body dig from Casteneda....I like this fight.Demarco is falling over himself.....blowing in the wind a bit like a tall tree.

Damn you have to give credit to Castaneda though, he comes balls out after those knock downs.

Castaneda's is showing good heart and hopefully his stamina will last past round 6....

Right when i was about to say DeMarco reminds me a little of Margarito, he rips a vicious body shot to end it. ;D

Damn, DeMarco has a good chin, and has pretty good power for such a skinny kid.

Again, you have to give credit to Castaneda for going balls out for the whole fight.

DeMarco needs to work on his defense a lot.

But his offense is great, loved the way he mixed it up.

I actually think DeMarco looked better on the Izzy vs. Rafa III undercard.

His defense was better and his offense was just as good.

I keep hearing that Dirrell is a great boxer, and he supposedly whooped Dawson sparring but I have yet to see anything when it counts, so hopefully it will be tonight.
