Your least favorite fight?
Mine is Raheem vs. Freitas. "Holy slumber Batman"
What do you guys think?
-
Re: Your least favorite fight?
Briggs - Lyakhovich
Corrales - Clottey: Just because as a big Chico fan I found it hard to watch, especially in retrospect.
-
Re: Your least favorite fight?
Recently...any fight containing anyone from the contender.

I remember the Burger King tagged Poop-po aka the "mouthpiece spitter" ;D in mid rounds and holding on for dear life. But Frietas came back in late rounds though.

Re: Your least favorite fight?
Yes Tye fields is horrible. Briggs Lyakovich was incredly awful until the KO, but since there was a decent KO, Byrd vs Williamson was a much more awful affair. Equally awful for 11 rounds though. Thankfully didn't see Freitas Raheem, but I did see what I think was Freitas (hopefully) last fight against Cristobal Cruz and it was a sleeper. I think at an elite level, certainly one of the worst fights recently was Taylor vs Spinks.. It was just a nothing fight, Taylor was way too big and strong to be bothered by Spinks but for some reason wouldn't try and make it a physical fight, then Spinks who was only concerned with not getting hit by using the ring and throwing an occasional jab. Anything he landed was almost just for show, and Taylor barely did anything the entire fight. Really disliked that one.

Re: Your least favorite fight?
Byrd-Williamson. Easily. Wlad-Sultan was also pretty bad

Re: Your least favorite fight?
Danny williams v Audley Harrison - the 1st fight
Both men slagged each other off for years claiming either one wasnt fit to be in the ring with the other guy.
They hyped up the fight for months in the national tabloids telling everyone how much they hated each other and audley in particular spent weeks ranting about how bad he was going to hurt williams.
Come fight night and the 2 just sparred for a good 10 rounds, neither over commiting, harrison in particular reaked of a man too afraid to get hurt to actually commit and it was only when finding out from his corner how far he was behind danny that he started trading...........and got dumped on his arse with a big overhand right.
From that day on...A-Farce Fraudley Harrison was born!!

How about Sprott/Skelton last year? These two hugged all night!!
I thought the whole card of Calzaghe/Manfredo was just dire also!! Total disappointment. I wonder how many people wanted their money back that night, mind you Joe did win so maybe not!

I just couldnt stomach to watch that. Both coming off wins against britains supposed "great heavyweight hopes" both very up and down fighters, both mid 30s, both supposed contenders for Wlad who would of flattened the pair of them in an instant.
It was almost like watching your favourite footie sides reserve team play!!

Re: Your least favorite fight?
The reason for my choice of least favorite fight is because i expected a war and got come dancing.
James BONECRUSHER Smith v Mike Tyson.
i really thought Smith would just come out slugging as he did againest Witherspoon. :(
-
Re: Your least favorite fight?
Harrison - Williams 1 was awful.
-
Re: Your least favorite fight?
Briggs--Lyakhovich. One because it was boring. Two because my man SL lost. :(
-
Re: Your least favorite fight?
Holyfield / Larry Donald.....That was just sad
Princess Hamed /Cesar soto
Eder Gonzalez /Juan M. Coggi I.......The# 1 worst ref job I have ever seen out of everyfight in lifetime. They should have just tied gonzalez's arms behind him and gave the ref a gun to keep pointed at him,Criminal!!
Unfortuanatly this could be a long thread :p

Re: Your least favorite fight?
Ali vs. Trevor Berbick; This and the Larry Holmes fight broke my heart when I first saw them. Ali was too shot to even bluff the early rounds:eek:

On that note Joe Galzaghe against David Starie and a whole load of Chris "£$1 million defences paid by Sky" Eubanks.

Re: Your least favorite fight?

Re: Your least favorite fight?
de la Hoya Hopkins was a real joke. I can see Oscar and Hopkins huddling before the fight:
Oscar: Look B-Hop, we are going to be partners after this fight, which will allow you to make even more money than you are making to fight me. Just don't hurt me for the first six or seven rounds. Let me do my counter punching thing and look good while I frustrate you. Then, after the seventh round, fight normally and we will see who wins.
B-Hop: OK Oscar. You better pay me though. Or I'll find a way to kick your ass outside the ring.
Oscar: That's settled. (Aside). I hope he doesn't hurt me too bad. I think I'll take a dive the first opportunity I get after the sixth. I'm getting paid millions, so why take a beating from this monster?

Re: Your least favorite fight?

Which Winky fights? I thought the Hopkins/Wright fight was really good. I really liked Quartey fight. The jabs were non-stop.
