Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
If both guys win on Sat and they meet each other at the Garden later this year who do you think will come out on top ? I think Paulie could outbox the Hitman and get a UD in his home town. Opinions please ?

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
It should be a close contest IMO, Paulie may not have any power, but he will be there all night long. If Hatton fights the second half of the fight like he did against Urango, Mayweather or Collazo, Powderpuff has more than a chance to take it.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I reckon it will be a really really good fight between them both.I think Magganalli will box well but i fell Hatton will slowly take the wind out of Paul eventually in the later rounds(9th 10).I see Hatton taking Magganalli to the canvas with a traditonal body blow.Nevertheless it will be a really mouth watering fight!

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I'd put money on Paulie to win. I'm a massive Hatton fan, but I call em as I see em. Malignaggi survived a Cotto onslaught, presumably he'd survive 12 rounds against Hatton also.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I think Paulie would cut Hatton bad and punch him to a standstill.

Do you think Paul beat Hatton by K.O or win by points?I dont think he has the power to upset the Hitman.Sould be a great fight.I dont think it would be a walk in the park for Hatton,if anything i think it will be fairly hard for Hatton.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I think Paulie doesn't have a chance in hell of KO'ing hatton, his hand is screwed after the surgery. In the cotto fight (His hardest opponent to date so I'm using this as a example) at best he stumbled him with a good right (maybe it was a left..) but I don't think he has the power anymore. But he definately doesn't need it, his fight with cotto proved it. He's a hard target to hit, and when you do hit him, he's hard as nails, but Cotto never got a good body shot on him, and ye know.. Ricky may drop him with a castillo-like body shot.. I'll definately be looking forward to this fight, fight of the year for me.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
'Magganalli' is a force of nature. He's the offspring of Margarito and Malignaggi.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Is anyone going to the Hatton fight on saturday??or should'nt i asked??Im watching it with a couple of me pals(John Smiths).Im planing on watching me local boxers fight it out live in the Mayfair Centre(Seaton).Craig Denton and his brother Mark are fighting on sunday night.Craig has not long turned Pro and he is settling in great.Remember his name because he is going to be the next big thing after Michael Hunter.Matchroom are already really interested in him.So you'll see him soon anyhow through the boardcast of Friday Fight Night on Sky Sports1.
Free pie"n"peas at the fight night on sunday night for me to..........YUM YUM:lickish:

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Hatton will smash Paulie, he'll do what Cotto couldn't do and KO him.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I'm a HUGE Malignaggi fan, but I don't see him winning this fight. He's a slickster but he doesn't have the inside skills that a Floyd Mayweather has. I see Hatton getting inside and winning a hard fought decision.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Cotto would knock Hatton's head off at 147, or break his ribs after 6 lopsided rounds

You'd probably pick Hatton over Mayweather if they fought again:rolleyes: But I do think Hatton has a good chance to break Paulie down after his last fight against Ngoudjo.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
The way i see it Paulie is very quick handed has good movement, and puts his punches together well and he is tough as nails. But how long will feather fisted Paulie be able to hold off Hatton ?? lets remember Hatton is very strong at 140 and can bully just about anyone at 140. I actually think this will be a razor thin decision that could go either way, it depends how many rounds Paulie can win in the early going, and it depends how long it takes Hatton to close the distance so he can go to work in the later rounds.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I dont see what the big deal is with powderpuff. :-\
I think Ngoudjo beat him last time. I think powderpuff knew he lost too. Proper house fighter decision.
His claim to fame is getting his head caved in by Cotto.
Who has he ever beaten?
As long as Hatton isn't completely finished he'll smash powderpuff all over the shop.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Hatton beats Paulie by UD or late stoppage, Paulie struggled with Ngoudjo who hatton is stronger, faster and clearly better than. Paulie is the superior boxer but his powerless jab won't be enough to keep hatton back. Hatton will get inside and do his best work. ;)

I think at 140 Hatton is a better fighter than Cotto.
It depends which Paulie shows up really. If he fights like he did against Ngoudjigumdrops, he will be lucky to see the final bell. If he can find the power he showed before his hand injuries - with his accuracy, he could cause Hatton a lot of problems.
Be a very good fight i think. Both have very fast hands and feet.
I like Paulie....very likeable guy i think. He reimds me of Christopher from The Sopranos.
Take it you watched the documentary last night? I Sky +'d it. Going to watch it tonight.

He closed the distance really well against Mayweather....most of the time.
Just didn't do anything when he got there.
I think it would be a very close fight.
I remember him being very competitive against Cotto. I think i even remember him hurting him at one point. Am i right in thinking this?

Cotto did get hit with a good shot he did stumble or lose his balance not sure if he was hurt tho.

Cotto at 140 was weight drained.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
If Hatton fights like he did against Collazo and Urango he fadded really bad in those fights ,Pauli will win on points.
As long as Ricky has no injuries leading upto the fight i think he will win a hard fought UD.Hatton is a very strong fighter at 140 and i see him bullyin his way on the inside and doing enough when he gets there to take the rounds. Paulie did well against Cotto in the second half of the fight but i think that was cause Cotto was tight at the weight and that affected him although Cotto did rally in the last few rounds.

You beat me to that point :p

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Paulie Turn out to be a better fight than i'd thought he'd be but i don't think he can beat Hatton.
-
Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
I'll reserve judgement until I see how much motivation Hatton still has this weekend. He's had his big night against PBF and knows that he couldn't reach that level, so maybe he just wants a couple of paydays, which could be a dangerous mindset.

Re: Will Magganalli have too much for Hatton ?
Hatton Destroys Paulie
Paulie doesnt have the power to gain Hattons respect, which will alow him to charge in and let the body shots go, he may be hard to catch but Hatton's stamina will be to much for Paulie I see a late stoppage after a fair scrap

Hattons cuts havent been a problem for a long time cant see it being a problem here
