Yes he can, the cruiserweight division has got plenty of chinny punchers, Hide will fit in well ;)
I agree. The division is actually a lot more exciting than the heavies at the moment.
Keep him away from Mormeck though.
Anyone know of anymore news on Herbie Hide's comeback???
I'd love to see him back knocking big guys out.
Carl Thompson has retired ???
but that would be a great weight for the loud mouth fool too come back at ;)
i remember when vitali Ko'd this guy....other than taht ive never seen him.
I dunno alot about Herbie Hide, but Mormeck isn't all that, he looked pretty bad in his last fight against some bum and he's getting on in years.. Maybe the loss to Bell took alot out of him.Quote:

Wasnt Hide always a slightly blown up Cruiserweight anyway?
Trouble is Herbie and his team sniffed the HW dollars!
Tc
do me favour and say this is just a joke because thats all old herbie is a joke, years ago he had a comeback against vitali klickho got ko'd in the 2nd, ok vitalis a class act.............but he then got ko'd in his next 10000000 comebacks by guys no ones ever heard of
he should stay retired, no one will have any interest in a man who's last fights were clean out cold ko's against bums
Yeah with a JABQuote:

Two-time WBO heavyweight champion-turned cruiserweight Herbie Hide (36-4, 35 KOs) returned to action in spectacular fashion, dropping an overmatched Mitch “Hold My Beer” Hicks (3-6) four times before the referee mercifully stopped the fight at 1:24 into the first round. Hide tipped the scale at 198 lbs for the bout.

There is some good fights at Cruiserweight for hide.I dont think it will be to long till we see him ko'ed tho there is some big punchers that he should stay away from.
Herbie was in the unfortunate position that is having a heavyweight punch, a cruiserweights frame, and a featherweights chin, I think David Haye would beat him even when he was prime, but it would be a hell of a fight.
Four knockdowns in 1.24 is pretty good going. The problem is that both Thompson and Nelson are retired, so I doubt that he's going to get fights with those guys. He needs to have a few more fights before he's even considered for a fight for any title, even David Haye's Euro title. And as for that fight, I reckon Haye could end it fairly soon, even after his lacklustre performance last time out.Quote:

But i like to see knockout punchers and hide's definately one.
With Hides power, even at 35, i'd give him a chance against anyone in the world at this weight....early.
Not sure who wins out of Haye-Hide but it doesn't make the second round.
Although I dont like him one bit I did feel for Herbie when he got cut in his last but one. I think Hides 50/50 with anyone at cruiser.
If he was in shape, which he pretty much always has been, he would smoke Haye's boots ;)
Haye Vs. Hide, at the end of the day would probably come down to who connects first with their power shots. Both are awesome hitters.
Haye should be getting a world title shot soon, no?
I hope Hide gets his ugly wife/kid beating face hammered.
Is that wrong?
Not neccassarily, but I really think that it's the vain boxers who have handsome faces that I would prefer to see get beaten to a pulp. You know, like the former male model David Haye.Quote:

Herbie is a complete lunatic outside the ring. Seeing how he lives his life, I would be very surprised if he either makes this comeback last more than a year, or he may mysteriously retire following a dope test.
Allegedly
That may be the single greatest nickname of all time. Too bad it got wasted on a shitty fighter, if a guy named "Hold my Beer" won a major title boxing would probably become more popular than golf.Quote:

Me neither. I knew he was a right twat outside the ring, although he was apparently very shrude with his money which perhaps goes against the grain a little.
When did all this happen?
There was a website that showed a punch not landing and Hide looking as if he'd been shot.Quote:

Byrd is coming to the Crusier division as well....bad news for anybody in this division....I think Byrd will dominate this for years to come....Quote:

I dont reckon Haye could take Herbies punches . He was knocked out by Thompson whereas Hide is a heavy hitter at heavyweight .
Hide wont be able to take Hayes punches either! But i reckon Haye can beat hide to the punch and ko him first.Quote:

Well he took Bowes punches for 6 rounds and I dont think it will take him 6 to land his bombs on Haye but I agree its a pick emQuote:
