Let's say Malignaggi's hand injury prevents him from fighting Hatton as scheduled...
Who should Hatton fight instead in the fall?
For the sake of this thread, let's assume that Pacquiao is NOT an option. Let's assume Pac wants to fight a few times at 135 first, and won't consider Hatton at 140 until 2009.
Personally I would love a Hatton/Diaz fight.
Personally I'd like to see Hatton/Bradley.I don't think Bradley is as bland as some do.He would be in Veeery deep as far as big rough & tumble Fight experience with Ricky though but I see him capable and Improving over time.
Diaz would be a close second but the jump in weight, Brutal fight with Campbell and limited power could be a bad combination.
I voted for Hatton-Holt as I feel it has the most relevance for the division. 2nd would be the Bradley fight as Witter can no longer be considered the #2 in the division.
I know it would never happen and he isn't even in line yet but I would love to see Lamont Peterson get his chance. But in terms of ranked contenders, I think Bradley-Hatton is the fight though I'm not at all sold on Bradley yet. I wish he had a bit higher of an activity level.
Bradley for me although i would like to see him in with some one else first, even the cambell/holt winner;D

Is Witter and Bradley having a rematch? It would be stupid of Witters promoters to NOT have a rematch clause in that contract.
Majesty i heard Bradley say that if Witter wanted a rematch it would have to be in USA, not sure how keen Witter is on that plus i don't think there is a rematch clause not sure though. But back to the topic i would love to see Hatton fight Ricardo Torres if Torres beats Holt in a rematch. That has canididate for FOTY written all over it, and its for certain the most exciting fight at 140 IMO.

I think he should still fight Witter it turned out that Witter had alot on his mind vs Bradley as his dad is seriously ill.Witter weren't himself hope he gets back on track right away and hope his dad gets well
Timothy Bradley would be a good choice. Holt/Torres would be good options as well. I don't see anything else that would be meaningful at this time.
Lame excuse never heard anything of the sort like before the fight, Witter just ain't that good end of. Everytime he has stepped up in class the decisions have been too close to call. Check out his fights against Lynes, Kotelnik, and even the posing match against Corley that was damn horrible to watch. Witter made his name off Hatton other than the victory over goodish Harris he has never looked that good IMO. I just wanted to see Hatton vs Witter because at the time Witter was number 2 in a poor division, and naturally you want to see the top 2 fighters fight eachother.Quote:
