Nadal dominated Fed.
Which reminds me...
Did anyone see Nadal having lunch during a game last week?
Fucken classic...
His trainer hands him a paper bag and it had like a sandwhich of some sort..Right in the middle of a game. ;D
Fed bringing heat now...
2 ace's
Nadals slowed down.
He's done it again...
That's #5 for him....
:appl:
Is Fed the greates player ever?
I'm confused
Yes in The French Open and it was never remotely close
lol yea, thanks Mick for helping me look like a jackass. Just reading it now. Still though, Fedorov does deserve his name being mentioned in the best ever.
ESPN - Despite humiliation, Federer confident moving forward - Tennis
and I didn't even notice the Wimbleton thingy. haha
IMO
Federer = Greatest all round player ever to pick up a racket!
Nadal = Greatest Clay Court player ever!
Bjorg would not win a set against Nadal on clay, Sampras v Federer on Grass would be a five set thriller.
My mistake...
If you look at my second post I had "originally" titled it right... :)
Unfortunately I'm watching like 4 different things at once and somehow I thought it was Wimbledon so I changed the title then as I watched it I quickly realized I was right the 1st place and it's the French Open.
:-\
They showed the Wimbledon final from last year I think after and it confused me too that they were playing on grass but I connected the dots eventually. Nadal won straight sets.
Nadal is much more competitive on grass then Federer is on clay that's for sure.
Yeh but what about the bit where you say it's Fed's 5th? He's never won the French? And what about where you said Fed was 2-1 up in the 5th, Ndal won 6-3 6-1 6-0
Muppet ;D

Fuck off H.
;D
And to think from 11:30 PST and on I'm gonna watch..
Germany vs. Poland
Argentina vs. USA
Mexico vs. Peru
Lakers vs. Tics
A's vs. Angels
:hypnotized:
Hopefully I don't create a thread with the result of the Argentina vs. USA result from last years Copa America result. :-\
Lucky you, I've got to be up at 04:00 English time to get to my office by 09:00 (my office is 210 miles away)
Federer may be the best tennis player ever to pick up a racket, but he needs to remove that one chink in his armor. He needs to win the French Open, preferrably over Nadal. Right now it just looks like Nadal has succeeded in getting into Federer's head.
I can't see Federer ever winning a French open unless Rafa gets an injury or something, hope not though.
Really glad Rafa won.
I was confused, I woke up a bit late, went and laid down on the couch and kept thinking, aren't clay courts red?
I was hoping Federer would get the French Open this year, but he got steamrolled. Nadal is the best clay court player I have ever seen; even better than Bjorn Borg IMO.
Barring injuries, and Nadal just turning 22 the other day, I can see him winning the French the next 6 years or more. The guy hits shots no one has business hitting. Awesome talent, and a nice, nice kid. Even apologized to Federer after the match; saying he was sorry Rog didn't get it. Fed is the greatest all around player ever, at least in top 3, but Nadal will go down as being the best clay courter, no doubt.
Novak Djokovich is a serious talent as well, and these 3 will have some classic matches, though I can't stand Novak, what an a##.
I just hope Rog can get a 6th Wimbledon in 3 weeks; though Rafa will give him fits like he did last year. Took Roger into a 5 setter, the 1st time Rog had ever been in a 5 setter at Wimbledon. I can see Rafa winning it this year. Great stuff; can't wait till Wimbledon gets here.
As a sidenote; when I say greatest ever, I mean on the mens side.
On the women's side, Suzanne Lenglen won 31 major titles in her career, and on top of that, she didn't even lose a SET for like 4 or 5 years....a SET!!!!!:D That's crazy cool stuff:cool:
