Whey Protein Concentrate

whey protein concentrate is derived from
sweet dairy whey (milk). Â The process is through an ion-exchanged
filtering process in which fat, lactose, carbohydrates and

Though Casein and Caseinate proteins are known for there
slow digestion, Hydrolyzed Casein is still assimilated by
the body very quickly. Since it is a hydrostat the proteins

stomach and are absorbed directly through the small intestine.

Studies have shown that Hydrolyzed Casein might be the best
protein for building muscle and preventing catabolism (muscle

I usually try to get protien from a dietary source but that's hard and what I often needed was supplements. It isn't a curev all but it fills the gaps I need to fill and it keps me from overeating. In other words, if I didn't already use this protien, and I saw your post, I would run out and do it because you are right on the money. Some poedwers upset my stomach because I' m allergic to milk so whey protien is great and light on my inners. All in all, I haven't been practicing what IO preach and you serve as a good conscience and I'm going to get back on track. keep up the great posts.

most of your protein should come from your whole foods, u're right. But for manyon high protein diets like myself its simply too hard to get ALL that protein, my digestive system cant handle 400g of protein in meat... however about 300+ of protein is all whole food, the rest is shake... If i dont feel like eating i will throw a protein shake in there as wel.. they digest very fast

how much protein you think you need to really put on some mass i weight 190 pounds so i consume about 180-190 per day.
do follow the 40/40/20 diet protein carbs fats

that's not enough... if you are lean i would do 1.8g of protein per lbm.. I would go like 350+ grams ... DRINK plenty of water.

don't wanna be rude but how the fook are you supposed to eat 350 grams of protein, i think i can get 250. I'm already drinking like 4 protein shakes a day. I'm cutting right now.

If any of you are having trouble digesting your shakes (ie. bloating, gas, etc) there is a good chance you are lactose intolerant.

Try using a Whey Isolate
- Cold-Filtration
OR
- Ion-Exchange

I get 450 grams of protein (only 150 is from shakes) It's all about what you can digest. I simply can't digest anymore real protein than 300 grams. You are better off getting as much real food as you can get though.

I get 200 carbs and 70 fat grams.

i'm gonna aim for 250-300 gradually increasing it, will get about 100 gms in shakes

If you want to increase protein intake, do it gradually. If not, you will find yourself on the toilet with a bad case of the runs.

There is no hurry, start of by increasing by 50grams each day. If you are digesting it fine, next week add another 50 grams.

Remember it is important to focus on FOOD for protein and use protein powder to SUPPLEMENT your diet.
