Round:5 Fenech is landing his right again and has done so easily so far, still fighting on the ropes, Fenech is definitely the more aggressive fighter

Round 10 Fenech's hands are shot, he hasn't landed a punch for two rounds, he keeps dancing around like Fred Astaire, his hands are gone and so is Fenech he got nailed big time, he is wobbly. he will make it to the end but it may not be enough to get the decision.

I'm suprised that 44 and 49 yo's were able to fight for 10 rounds and there was no knockdowns. Fenech finally gets his win, but for what point?
A great fighter like Nelson doesn't deserve 6 losses, Nelson shouldn't of fought Leija in there 4th fight let alone fighting Fenech at 49. Nelson at his peak destroyed great fighters like Wilfredo Gomez such a shame to see the legend with 6 losses.

There was really no need for this.
Azumah let him win because he knew it had been eating up Fenech his whole life. ;D I just hope Azumah got paid good.
I guess thats why Azumah wanted a 12 rounder. But this fight should never have been made
I can't help getting the feeling Fenech saw "Balboa" a few to many times at the movies?? ;D Anyway, that's for the RBR... My friend who was taking me sold the tickets to someone at his work.. I was so pissed, I took a change of clothes to work and was expecting him to pick me up to go straight to the fight :(
Least they actually went at it and didn't make an embarrassment of a fight... Shame Nelson couldn't have won again.. Poor Fenech would have to go at it again in another 5 years

Fenech may have fought the last couple of rounds with a broken rib. Would explain all the dancing around....
Don't be sad for the fighters. Fenech was said to donate his share of the takings (Approx $1M) to charity. Not sure what Nelson was doing with his but given the smile on his face at the end of the fight I suspect he's got his own plans for his share.Quote:
