Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
I would rather Pacquiao stay at Lightweight and chase the big fights there, but i have a feeling he will go for the big pay day against Hatton at 140, plus everyone at Lightweight is busy at the moment so i can see that happening.

Yes, I also have the same feeling. Based on the post fight interview, it seems that Pacquaio will be fighting Hatton next.

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Based on there last 2 performances I think Pac would bash Hatton. Pac looked good. Hatton looked like crap. I now think Pac smokes him. Not only that I think Hatton would be an easier opponent than Casamayor or Marquez

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
I hate to all of a sudden jump on the Pacwagon; but I bet he bounces Hatton from pillar to post. His face will look like a bowl of mashed potatoes with ketchup;D

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
HAve to agree there, probably be Hatton who'll also wonder whats hit him.
With a fighter like Manny around Marquez at a close second is still very underrated.

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
I think it should be the Casamayor/ Marquez winner. It would be for his 4th linear championship, plus if its against Marquez we'd get the much demanded rubber match.

Do you think that fight has a chance of being slightly boring VD ?? because there both two very good counter punchers, and normally when you get two great counter punchers like that none of them like leading. But i feel someone in that fight sooner or later will force the fight the question is who ??

been thinking the same thing, i think hatton is vulnerable. Pac really wants a 5th title and has the 3 division title in 1 year goal. imo it will work out for him and enhance his legacy. Theres still that weight issue to be concern about though, how many weight division up is pac from his best division? Imo that will make the fight interesting, hatton is going to be favor due to that alone. IMO pac is the better fighter but the danger of him moving up and the way he fight puts that odds towards his oppenent.
If pac does fight hatton next, i don't think he'll stay at 140 cause theres really nothing there for him. I'd like him to come back down to 135 and face casa, guzman, jmm and nate. although i haven't heard nate saying pacs name.
come to think about it how come casa never moved up to 140, he really should he has a chance at taking hattons title. Dont you think? that would be an interesting fight.

I think it's going to be a great fight.

Diaz is kind of a poor mans Ricky Hatton. Hatton is better than Diaz. But not by much. I don't see him beating Pac. Not based on there recent fights.
Casamayor debated moving up to 140. But capturing the Ring magazine at 135 is what made him stay.

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
I'm a fan of JMM and I will be rooting for him against any fighter except Pac.
Against Pac, I was a confused fan.
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Pacquiao moves up and beats Hatton at 140.
J.Diaz beats Katsidis.
Guzman beats Campbell and fights J.Diaz.
Guzman beats J.Diaz and fights the loser of Casamayor vs Marquez.
Katsidis fights D.Diaz and then Khan will fight the winner of this fight.
Not sure who wins out of Casamayor vs Marquez but whoever wins that fight, Pacquiao will be facing the winner.
Thats how i see the Lightweight division going in the recent future

I have to agree i think PACMAN would ruin Hatton
also lets not forget , pacman only has looked bad against great fighters who have made him look a bit poor.
Ricky gets smoked in 3 for me , lookinng like hes been through a threshing machine
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Hatton - And he gets smoked. Hatton is a natural 140 pounder and is just deadly at that weight, Pac won't be able to handle him and gets brought back down to earth. Hatton KO - not a hard choice.

How can you base Ricky on his last 2 performances ?. One firstly was at welterweight. His recent fight was a confidence booster. Take the Castillo, Massa etc fights into consideration and Pac gets beat, badly.
Pacquiao's last two fights were against JMM and Diaz. Many including yourself thought he got beat against JMM. Last night he was facing David Diaz, a guy who a shot to fuck Morales schooled. No world beater at all.
Let's remember Pacman will be moving up ANOTHER weight to fight Happen and that weight is were Hatton is most dangerous ;)
Once again, a Hatton KO happens.
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Against Hatton hopefully.
Im pretty confident Ricky will be too strong for the Pacman.
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Me personally I'd love PAC to fight the winner of the Marquez-Casamayor, if he wins he should retire, ON TOP!!!
Marquez has always been PAC's kryptonite but for whatever reason PAC's power is his equalizer for JMM's great counterpunching. He can still beat Marquez. Regarding Casamayor I know boxing isnt an exact science but something in my mind tells me that if a fighter like Jose Armando Santa Cruz who'm DAVID DIAZ kayoed was able to give hell to Joel Casamayor, then Manny has more than just a punchers chance;)
These are winnable fights for PAC. As it is PAC already cemented his legacy as an all time GREAT IMO. If his brutal win over Diaz was his last fight I am already contented.
Fighting Hatton is ludicrous IMO, just for sheer physicality alone Hatton will kill Manny. Hatton isnt slow either.

Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
"I feel much stronger and more powerful at 135. This is where I plan to stay."
-Manny Pacquiao
ESPN - All hail the new king - Boxing
Glad to know Dan Rafael is now recognizing Pacquiao as the new p4p king! :)
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
I voted for Hatton i think Pac could win this he was really good lastnight.
-
Re: Who Should Manny Pacquiao Fight Next.
Let's say for the sake of argument that Pacquiao goes to 140 and fights Hatton next. And let's say for the sake of argument, that Hatton, naturally the bigger man at 140, beats Pacquiao, who may not carry his power too well into 140.
Are Hatton fans going to claim that all of a sudden Hatton should vault back into p4p consideration? That would be grossly unfair to the other fighters who have scratched and clawed their way onto that list.
IMO, of course.
