Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
Nate Campbell, Joel Casamayor, Michael Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Joan Guzman and Juan Manuel Marquez already has scheduled/signed fights so they're not available in November.
Edwin Valero's manager indicated that his ward may not be ready yet for the PACMAN.
Ricky Hatton (i think) has not yet signed the Malignaggi fight so ...
Let's get it on ... PACMAN-HITMAN fight
.
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
nothing is final. everybody is speculating. even the valero fight is not a done deal when it has been talked about extensively for the past 24 hours.
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
PAC is so hot since Saturday night... and still very hot...
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
I dont think it will happen this year. Hatton will most likely fight Paulie this fall. If Pac really wants to fight at 140 perhaps he better have an interim fight at the weight to stay busy and get accustomed to it.
Pac would be sensible to wait for a Hatton fight because I dont think Hatton is on the wane yet and would win fairly easily if they fought in the near future. A lot of money at stake if he goes through with it though.
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
If Ricky hurried up and got Paulie out of the way (August) then he wuld have been sorted for a Pacfight.

Hot? He is not hotter then before the fight ....... everyone knew that he was fighting the lesser Diaz. A unskilled, slow and non power punching fighter. Kudos to Pac , but little did he gain in real fight fans eyes.....
Pac looked really good as a boxer ,but it was also visible that his 1 punch power is not as it was at 130. The good thing is the 135 weight class is really not all that talented or filled with power punchers either!
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
Wont happen Hatton is a man of his word and trust me it will be Paulie then Manny.

I'm just not understanding the seemingly irrational hate for Pac. I admit I never have been a huge Pacfan; but I thought it was stunning how easily he beat Diaz Saturday night.
O.k., Diaz ain't the best out there, but it's not like Pac barely scraped by. He didn't eek out a win, he beat the shoes of Diaz and made him look like he was a struggling amateur. I forgot the last time I saw a guy move up in weight and beat the sh#t out of guy in his 1st showing at that weight and pick up a belt. Leave the guy alone for f#cks sake. I would have hated to see what was said had Pac got a SD and Diaz had landed more than 15 punches on him:D

Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
pacquiao should really stick around lightweight and clean it out first before he goes for the money
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
I thought the reason Hatton-powderpuff was so attractive to Ricky was so he could top a bill in MSG realising one of his dreams. Didn't take long for that shit fight to get the elbow (even though it's clearly still favourtie to happen) now that the interest in Pac has tripled
:beat:
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
I'm confused. Who is Pac fighting now? On some interview I read today Arum sounded pretty sure a Valero fight was going ahead.
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
Pac will not fight Hatton this year.
Arum definitely said he would not fight at Welter so he will have a title defence against the next available lightweight.

very true
wont happen anytime before april of next year
hatton-paulie is set in stone from what i here and will be confirmed within the next fortnight.
Pac will unify his status as the number 1 135 pounder before setting out on his and the hitmans final journey for 140 pound glory.
Surprised if this goes down - you better believe it!!
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
Hope this does take place. Would be fight of the year. Still think Manny will want a rematch with Marquez though.

Pac man won with a 1 punch KO so I think it is a bit silly to doubt his 1 punch KO power.:p

Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
This can be setup as a UK vs. Philippines fight card.
Ricky Hatton vs. Manny Pacquiao
IBO Jr. Welterweight Championship
Amir Khan vs. Randy Suico
Michael Hunter vs. Bernabe Concepcion
.
-
Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
There might be one or two problems between the various promoters that could prevent that card from happening.
-
Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
I really don't see Paulie stepping aside so Pac can fight Hatton. I have a gut feeling Valero will be Pac's next opponent.

If Paulie won't step aside, the Hatton-Paulie fight will compete head on with the PAC-Valero fight on that November 8 date.
I'm sure many people will watch the PAC-Valero fight.

Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
I thought Michael Hunter was retired.
-
Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
I heared he was in training for a come back fight.
-
Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
Talk of coming out of retirement. Isn't the Hatton/Malignaggi fight set for september anyway? And khans set for manchester sept too

I agree but lets remember that was accumulation of punishment that set up that KO, when the punch landed Diaz just basically collasped because his body couldn't take no more. But i agree there was nothing wrong with his punching power although i think its his speed that generates most of his power, similar to Roy Jones Jr in his prime.

Re: Proposed Hatton vs. Pacquiao November 8 Fight Card
Hunter coming out of retirement. Hasn't done anything. Can't make the weight.
Hatton and Kahn clash as Warren promotes Kahn.
Hatton is tied to HBO for a few more fights, Kahn tied to ITV.

The commentators are paid to hype done (They told me that themselves.)
Bernard actually has decent power himself, but he has the resiliance of a Porcelain Doll.
Add that to the fact that he is an unpleasent human being and I wasn't sorry

Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
This wont happen. hatton has already agreed to fight Paulie.
-
Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
Someone already said it on another thread...
It's a win-win for Manny.
Lose to Hatton, and you've lost to a champ at a higher weight class. The naturally bigger man.
Beat Hatton, and you cement your legacy as an ATG and true p4p champ.
On the other hand, if Hatton beats Manny, I don't care how much Ricky's fans may want to vault him to the top of the p4p rankings. He won't get there by beating a great 130-pounder.

Re: Pac vs Hatton on Nov 8!!!
It was the accumulation of punishment that set up that KO. The last punch was beautiful though !!

I'm also impressed with the fact that the lightwelterweight fighter in Kendall Holt was not able to thoroughly destroy Diaz as much as the smaller Pacman did.

A man of his word my ass you just made me lmao with that statement. If he was a man of his word he would have given Colazzo a rematch because of the way colazzo's belt wa stolen from him period.
Collazo decided against the rematch.
Hatton 6 rounds. Collazo 6 rounds.
Hatton scored round one 10-8.
Thats the commonly held belief, so please refrain from peddling your closed-minded views here.
