Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147.
Any reactions, violent or otherwise?

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
Pacquiao is talking tripe.
-
Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
Is Pacquiao becoming too cocky?
-
Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
I am not even sure Oscar can even make the 147 mark anymore he would have to kill himself in training for this to happen.

Oscar already announced that he's willing to go down to 147 to fight Pacquiao.

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
He said he would fight Forbes at 147 but he never made the weight.

Where? When?

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
Manny's talking tripe. He needs to concentrate on fighting the winner of Marquez or Casa.
-
Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
PAC been calling out fighters lately when he's not used in doing this before. He called out Hatton but Hatton said "No, not yet maybe next year" then PAC now calling out DelaHoya.

In Pacquiao's victory party last night.

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
I think Pacquiao may be looking for his cashing in fight.
He seems in an awful hurry to move up for a huge name and seems like he would take anyone just to be in a name fight.

I think Pacquiao can't wait for the outcome of JMM vs. Casa September fight. Pacquiao needs to book a fight in the coming weeks for a November or December fight date.

Oscar's last 2 fights were at 150. Oscar was able to make 150 in the Forbes fight and 150 in May last year against PBF.

I believe De la Hoya weighed in at 154lbs,
PBF although listed as weighing at 154lbs on HBO was the one who weighed 150lbs.

Probably. PAC is so brave and gutsy calling out those top boxers at higher weight class.

Yeah you're right (my bad). It's only in the Forbes fight in May this year where Oscar weigh 150 lbs.

No not at all, I've made the same mistake myself a number of times.

Ok so some evidence of this is available? Or do we just take your word for it?

Take my word... or read the link below:
Manny Pacquiao: "I Can Beat Oscar De La Hoya"

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
I'm a Pac fan and not a DLH fan. However, Manny is trying to "run before he can walk." Let him challenge Hatton at 140, and THEN... if he's successful and DLH's still around... THEN he may want to challenge DLH at 147. I don't see it happening, tho.

Oscar "declared" for the nth time that December 6, 2008 will be his last fight. I guess PAC is interested of becoming the last boxer to fight Oscar. PAC don't want to miss this boat.

No one can accuse PAC of not being brave. However, in his rush to fight Oscar before he retires, he'd walk right into DLH's trap of "adding to his legacy", even if it IS by pounding on a naturally much smaller man.

Yep, Oscar can "boast" that he beat the best boxer (no. 1 P4P) in his farewell fight, tho if you really look at it, it's meaningless.
Props to PAC for being so brave and gutsy.

Re: Pacquiao said he can beat DelaHoya at 147
Win or lose this fight will accelerate the wear and tear in PAC and will take everything out of PAC. I doubt if PAC can still win fights after this, and I'm not making excuses for PAC.

I'm guessing PAC will retire next year. He already announced his intention to run for political office in 2010 Philippines election.
PAC will take Hoya in December and Hatton next year then retire.

Michael Marley's Boxing Confidential News, Analysis, and Commentary
Yup it's apparent PAC is gunning for the super money fights for retirement hopefully he does not get permanently damaged come December. By the way even Jinkee Pacquiao does not agree with his husbands plan of facing ODLH.
I honestly would rather see PAC get outboxed silly by Joan Guzman or JMM than decapitated by the Golden Boy or anybody that is just much larger.
