What does the term "follow me down" mean?

There's been a couple of songs I've heard the term "follow me down". Does that mean to have sex? If not , what DOES it mean?

In the songs i've heard it in, i've always thought it was a reference to drugs like heroin or something where you "go down" so to speak... Possibly..

But pop singers these days use all sorts of these catch phrases/saying without probably even knowing the meaning of them, or meaning anything by them themselves... There is no depth in lyrics these days...

How many times have you heard "hands in the air... Like you just don't care"

I mean, is that the lamest line in history, yet it is probably the most repeated...
