i think its an ok fight for boxing but i see berto beating clottey by a clear ud clottey being a counter puncher was having some trouble with zab and his boxing style and i feel bertos hands to be faster then zabs also i see berto being more focused
I was just about to say who the hell is Berot ? but realized in my thick skull that you made spelling mistake and you meant Andre Berto DUH.........
I think its good fight and the fight will tell us how good Andre Berto really is and it will also tell us if Joshua Clottey does really belong with the top Welterweights.

clottey was beating margo easy with his deffence and counter punching put after seeing him fight zab i dont think he can handle speed very well
Margarito would have come on strong anyway. I wouldnt mind a rematch, but Clottey needs more of a name IMO.
i agree clottey needs a biger name but i think by calling out berto is a lose lose if he wins he beat a guy up and coming and if he loses he lost to a guy up and coming
I would like to see Clottey-Berto...I think it's time Berto stepped up to the plate and did something and Clottey is a tough S.O.B. . I think Clottey could even give Cotto a hard time, he's got a good chin, good stamina, and he is a good counterpuncher.
Berto needs to fight either Clottey or Williams
did you see the fight lastnight with zab clottey didnt look as good as he did against margo before he hurt his hand
I think Berto has much potential and a strong foundation.The thing is ,I have no Idea how he will react when He steps up to the top tier and is constantly pressured on his heels.Will he retain the accuracy when He has a qualified, durable guy like Clottey punching at him.Clottey needs to find some intensity and increased work rate,He at times just go's through the motions .I honestly think Zab was there for the taking a little earlier and Clottey was well on his way to stopping him regardless.Bottom line,Berto needs to step it up big time prior to receiving the cape ;D
The welterweights are alive and well with some atractive fights ahead.I'd even take a rematch with Clottey vs. Margarito,I don't care if Clottey had two "healthy" hands.....Tony was coming on in a big way that night.Some fight to victory through the pain,and some do not!
Clottey should not be fighting at welter.

You guys crack me up when you talk about Clottey... Clottey is a natural counterpuncher and defense 1st, unless his opponents throw his volume is down... He had plenty of opportunuties against Margarito because he throws 100 punches around...
I guess if you dont like big, strong, fast, fundamentally sound Boxers with great footwork, superb defense and solid chin then Clotteys not your guy:rolleyes:
I think Berto needs 2 more fights with increased skill set competion before he fights Clottey or any of the big 3...
Clottey is the most well rounded technically skilled Welter at the moment until Floyd unretires of course ;D
