people may laugh - or may not but im going to stick my neck out and say he beats anyone at 168 in the next couple of years, including pavlik, miranda and taylor.However i do think he would struggle most against taylor.
strangly enough i think pavlik would probably beat joe C but i think kessler has the style and coolness about him to win over 12 rounds.

I think u might be on to something there.
He fought a great fight with Calzaghe that was pretty close to even earlier on, and maybe not being able to spar or use the heavy bag for the last few weeks took its toll, I don't know, but Kessler fought a great fight, so did Calzaghe. They were both amazing, and Kessler was also amazing against Andrade who has looked good since then.
I think he also beats Taylor, Miranda, Pavlik perhaps easier then Calzaghe would because he has more power, and that great jab. I still think he is one of the top 10 best fighters in the world.
Kessler is definitely a great prospect and although I realise he needed some recuperation time having lost to Calzaghe, he really needs to get back to fighting name opponents.
I have a lot of respect for Kessler after the Calzaghe fight.
I do rate him highly and think he could beat Pavlik, Taylor or anyone else although the 2 mentioned would be good close fights

Mikkel definitely is a tough fight for anyone. His only issue is he is sort of on the outside looking in right now. This is mainly due to poor management. He really needs to go to the States and crash the party there and make his face seen.
Right now he is overlooked by other top fighters management because he is a huge risk to their fighter. He is overlooked by the media over here because he is fighting low key opponents and simply not making himself noticed.
It is not a great position to be in, but if he gets some fights over here, especially against the likes of the Bute/Andrade winner, the others will be forced to take notice.

I think he beats everyone you mentioned except for Pavlik. I think it would be a great fight between the two. Kessler needs to fight though. I don't like how the Miranda fight did not happen. Taylor would seem to be a very logical fight for him.

I think Jermain Taylor could beat Mikkel Kessler he is much more athletic and has a better jab plus he is less robotic........
I think Lucian Bute has a good chance aswell but we will have to wait and see how he deals with Librado Andrade.......
And lets not forget Kelly Pavlik who im sure will be moving up to Super Middleweight in the near future.

I think its probably inevitable that the two will meet at some point down the line - Froch will probably capture the WBC belt and Kessler will want to show he is top dog in the divison (after Joe C's departure) and clear out the other contenders (Froch/Bute). Given that Kessler doesn't appear to be active in chasing anything in America the best option is to add the WBC and then the IBF titles and getting people's attention by becoming undisputed super-middle champ (although I would figure if he went after Froch and captured the WBC title I think Kelly P. would then come calling).
Kess was the future of the SMW div until he dropped his nuts after the Calzaghe fight... I don't know what happened... He fought a HELL of a fight against one of the best fighters in the world.
Anyway... I hope the road back is a quick one... I still think he has the ability to be the future of the SMW div.
