I dont recon Hopkins has the legs to do that for 12.He tired alot in the last few rounds against Calzaghe so i see him doing the same in this fight.I think it will be close fight but Pavlik will win.

B hop loves the perception game, i think he realizes his age, and about 45 seconds into the first he will realize really how strong pavlik is, from that point i think b-hop will concentrate on making it appear that he's winning rounds and make the fight slow and boring......for as long as he can anyhow. B-hop knows every trick in the perception book it seems, and he's still pretty decent in the ring. I think it will be tough, but pavlik aint no tarver pavlik will win maybe even stop hopkins. Just my guess

People are delusiona... IN the Cotto fight you saw a guy who had been hurt before, a guy who was easy enough to hit. Hopkins is an entirely different species of fighter. He can make a fighter dirty, he can reduce your punch output tenfold. He can gain your respect with that right cross you don't see coming. How many people thought Calzaghe would walk over HOpkins? How many thought Taylor would or Tarver or Winky to a degree? Hopkins continues to prove critics wrong.

I think Hopkins is taking a risk fighting Pavlik...I doubt that Pavlik will knock Bernard out,but its possible and that again won't be good for Hopkins legacy(it won't be so bad either,but still...)...The fight itself will be probaly boring,but the outcome will be very interesting...every possibility...I mean think about...the most shocking IMO would be Pavlik gets ko'ed,followed by the opposite Hopkins get ko'ed,a decision for Hopkins would also be pretty surprising and I guess a decision for Pavlik is what most people expect and of course not to forget the much loved draw...;D

Hi, I'm new.

I honestly don't see this going the distance. Hopkins was gassed and ready to quit during calzaghe fight, until he got the break from the barley low blow and took 5 minutes.

Pavlik hits harder than calzaghe, and takes a bigger punch. I see hopkins rocking him with 1-2 hard rigths early but after than Pavlik walks through everything and sends Hopkins into retirement.

Pavlik throws a lot of hard punches, they will connect, Hopkins will cash the check and fold.

I see him winning just from output alone; and really cleaning up in the later rounds, but I don't see him ko'ing Hop.

I love this fight; for the simple reason it will teach Kelly alot IMO. He will learn to shore up the left side defense better, as he has a tendency to leave that jab hanging out a little long, or dropping it down to his side. Hopkins is going to catch him doing that, bet on it.

This will also be a big test for Kelly because he's going to get caught some shots to the body; which is where I feel the best chance of beating him comes from; at least stopping him anyways, or slowing him down enough to stop the constant attack he brings. That long thin body is going to be targeted by Hopkins and I can see Kelly getting dropped a couple of times.

Kelly isn't the bigger guy in this fight; like all his previous opponents. Maybe a slight heigth advantage, but that's it. And this will imo be a big challenge not being the "giant" in the fight.

But even a hater will say Kelly is a game guy, and there's no quit in him; so knocked down or not, he will come back harder and eventually the work rate will overwhelm Hopkins. wow way to break it down. I'm probably dreaming when I'm predicting pavlik knocking him out early. I would like to see it though, we need another superstar in the sport.

Even at 43 hopkins probably has enough tricks in the bag to last him awhile. But I see him gassing out like in calzaghe fight, and I believe he will be in trouble.

Yeah, but what concerns me, like I touched on, really is if Hopkins can get to Kelly's body. We all know Pav can go 12, and that's throwing as many punches as he can, but I'm betting Hasim works Hopkins on getting to Pav's body, and that could conceivably slow Kelly down.

Also, I can see Kelly getting impatient and trying to almost overwork Hopkins, just to open him up, and getting a bit tired, not to mention sloppy. But what do I know? I worry more about this fight for Pavlik than any other up to this point.

Lets just hope Pavlik can pick up and learn to counter when that hand goes down. I wonder how good his body is. He looks like a normal skinny guy but I would bet my life he would put me out with one punch and I would not even see it. He is not built like a prototype boxer with the 8 pack of abs and a chissled set of pecs. He has to try to get some kind of body work if he wants to stop the unstoppable.

Yep Pavlik will need to land that right to the body to slow Hopkins down earlier and not get over confident and get caught by some bulshat. I think he will land his left hook more often then his straight right, Because Hopkins likes to duck to his right.

Did somebody retarded take over your account? You used to say intelligent things. After the whole Cotto/Margo thing, you need to keep your mouth shut for a while. Are you saying that Glen Johnson, at that point in his career, was better than Pavlik is right now? Glen went 11 with Hopkins, and keep in mind, at that point, Glen Johnson had built a record fighting stiffs and he lost his next fight to Sosa, and also lost to Vanderpool, Sheika, and Branco (notice I'm not counting the Ottke fight as a loss) before putting it together late in his career.

Since when has Hopkins ever been a great knockout puncher? Never in his life has Hopkins KO'd a quality opponent before round 9, and that was against a WW. Hopkins has the ability to make any fighter look bad. He has the ability to make any fight close. Hopkins will make this Pavlik fight very close, but no version of Hopkins would ever KO Pavlik. 'Nard at his best might outpoint Pavlik, but he wouldn't KO him.
