I just wanted to tell you that I work out at [a local gym in Las Vegas] and for the last few night Floyd Mayweather has been coming in here to work out at like 3:00 in the morning. Don’t ask me what Im doing in the gym that early LOL.
Last night I asked him if he was training for a fight and he put his finger up to his lips and said SHHHHH - like he wanted me to keep it a secret.
Isn't he supposed to be retired
Yes, he is SUPPOSED to be retired. Maybe that De La Hoya fight isn't as dead as we all thought....

Didn't they also recently say he got knocked out in some night club by some former sparring partner to whom he owed money?
There was another story also from them about Floyd that was pure fabrication.
Although this one does not seem as far fetched, I am still wary about anything coming out from MediaTakeOut.

Floyd has always trained everyday regardless of being in camp or not.
If he were training for a major fight he would not be going to a gym, he'd be in his own specialised boxing gym.

The only thing raising my eyebrow is the time. If he were only working out, why not do it at a normal time? If any of this can be believed at all, that is.

True Chris, very true.
But in a life that saw him attend the gym virtually every day since he was 2 years of age (really!) it is possible he's just programmed to do so now.

Ah shiet!
I remember when Tony Margarito began calling Floyd out we would hear all these stories about Floyd getting up in the middle of the night or at the wee hours of the morning and go to the gym. Here we go again, Floyd is having those nightmares of Margarito and again, Floyd is wetting his bed. ;D Floyd will never get a good nights sleep until he mans up and faces Margarito ;D

Although I'm a Hatton fan, the Hatton fight was an entertaining display.
The fight with Diego Corrales was a cracking fight.
Both fights with Castillo were entertaining.
His fight with Jesus Chavez was very good.
His fight with Lovemore N'Dou was a very pleasing fight.
He really only put on a clinic against Baldomir and Zab and the anti-Floyd brigade branded him boring. Thats where the dubbing boring came from and it is only used by anti Floyd fans or haters.

FLoyd will be 75 years old, go past a boxing gym on his way to the movies and peope will start an uproar. C'mon guys this guy is a spazz and getting up a 3 to work out for him is nothing surprising, I doubt he's the type to retire and start hitting up kfc's as part of his regular diet he'll always be this way, and he'll always know everyone is reporting his every move, probably more than half the reason he doesn't just work out at home in the first place, lord know he could afford two of every piece of equipment if he wanted.

Like I said before, he said he's retired, let him be! "He's lying...he should come back...etc." just let him be! Darn it! Let's talk about possible matches with guys who are STILL FIGHTING. It happens with every boxer who dominated and retires. People won't be happy and will always want him to face someone in the possibility of seeing him loose. Mediatakeout is like the worst site in the world. Really, that's true yet there news always gets reported for some reason on message boards I can never quite figure it out. It's a complete joke of a site.
With that said, like others have said, he has always been training and he likes it and he also likes to do it at odd hours. Still, complete BS. They report EVERYTHING false. That can't be stressed enough. They only report on stuff like hip hop and on a few athletes but everything is untrue. Really it is.

Some fighters, like Lennox Lewis still work out in a boxing gym after the careers are over simply for exercise.

People that say floyd is boring an they dont watch him blah blah blah are the fakest most ignorant boxing fans. That is like saying your a baseball fan but you dont want to watch a pitcher dominate for 7 innings you want to watch people hit homeruns. RIDICULOUS. If you hate him because he talks shit or because he throws money around, so be it. BUT dont call yourself a boxing fan if you cant appreciate the best fighter to come along in a while. If you cant appreaciate ridiculously accurate punching, legendary stamina, insane footwork, an almost impenetrable defense, and one of the greatest work ethics ever, THEN YOU SHOULDNT WATCH BOXING!
