OK, I am very very excited for this fight!!! I's going to be a barnburner with punches coming from everywhere.

I'm handing this one to Kats... He gets the nod in a hard fought battle that leaves Juan Diaz looking much like his fight with Nasty Nate...

IMO this fight is very much a pick'em, could take place in a phone booth. Both fighters have the same strengths and weaknesses. I am really looking forward to it. I'm not gonna make a pick, just gonna sit back and enjoy it.

Diaz by decision or late stoppage; just cause I think Kats will get opened up badly.

Hard to tell though seeing how they are both coming off their 1st losses; so like Killer said it's a pick em'; though I'm sticking with my Tx. boy Diaz.

Like Killersheep, I think it could go either way. I'm thinking Katsidis will take it by TKO, but I wouldn't be all that surprised if it went the other way. I'm leaning towards Kats because both fighters will get hit a lot in this fight and I think he'll be able to take Diaz' punches better than Diaz will take his. Kats also impressed be against Casa, despite the end result.

Mmmm... I can't see why... He fought with heart... He went into survival mode late but he was still trying.

Not many guys would have stayed in the pocket like that taking a beating...

I'll go out on a limb and say diaz will be back to his old self, after his streak of breaking down opponets and being very sucessful in the ring i'm not as quick to forget all those fights in spite of the one loss, hell i'm not even sure i'd pick cambell if they fought again right now, not sure if diaz will stop kats but i do think he will win.

I guess I'll go with Diaz but it worries me that he doesn't seem to take body shots that well and Kats is a good body puncher. Overall Diaz is a better fighter IMO but who knows. Also even though I'm a huge fan I think Kats might want it a bit more, not questioning Diaz' heart so much, its just he's got other options, he might end up as mayor of Houston or some shit.

Also Lawrence Cole, aka the worst ref in boxing is getting the call apparently. Forget Joe Cortez, Cole is the definition of shit.

Yeah this is the definition of great matchmaking, as for your poll, I went with Diaz KO, under the assumption that they will both be sitting in the kitchen trading blows and Kat's skin will fail him stoppage on cuts.

I was having my tea so my response was a bit short so I'll expand.

Diaz fought well and hung in and you have to respect him for that, he could have took a knee towards the end and you'd think no less of him.

Before that fight I thought Diaz would reign for a long time unbeaten, and I liked his style. I know every boxer can have a off day I just think that with Katsidis power Diaz could be in trouble with his walk forward style. The same can be said the other way and I don't see it going the distance.

Its just one of them things, I thought Diaz would have beaten Campbell comfortably and a big win against Katsidis would restore my faith in him.

I still think Diaz is the biggest potential in the 135 division

I'm picking Diaz by points. Katsidis is a little one dimesional. He has power and is exciting but that's it. I'd love Katsidis to win though.

Nate's a lot more skilled and a lot craftier than Kats though, he did a lot of slick smart things in the Diaz fight, it wasn't just that he was bigger and stronger. With Kats it will be just that, that he walks through Diaz' stuff and Diaz can't take the punishment.

I voted for Kats by KO. The fight will get stopped late by the corner or the ref. Katsidis has flat out better power than Diaz. He's a vicious body puncher, and he has a workrate to match Diaz.

IMHO, Diaz is incredibly overrated. He's a good fighter, but he's not the future of the division. He's a one trick pony. Diaz is basically Ricky Hatton, but slower, less powerful, and without the great foot work. He does have a decent jab when he decides to use it. He's worked his ass off to get to his point. I respect the guy a ton and you couldn't ask for more humble intelligent guy to represent the sport, but I think he's gone about as far as he can go.

This is obviously gonna be a cracking punch-up.

Katsidis is a 3/1 underdog. I think he has a much better chance than that - so i pick him ;)

I think the "Baby Bull" will win this on a cut stoppage to be exact. Diaz' volume = bad matchup for Kats face. He should look worse than his last 2 fights, Casamayor wasn't overly active like Diaz and look how bad his face was. I think this is gonna be like rock-em sock-em robots, should be very entertaining, maybe Kats has the power to stop Diaz, I don't know. He didnt look too bad against Casa, a skilled counterpuncher, so he may be a better boxer than he lets on.

I voted Kats by TKO. He'll throw everything but the kitchen sink at Diaz (and then some) and I think Diaz will eventually wilt. I love Katsidis fights..... he's a wild man.

Casamayor wasn't overly active, but his punches are harder and much more accurate than Juan can throw.

I think Diaz will hand Katsidis his ass. Katsidis doesn't impress me at all. He looked ok against Casamayor but he's as done as Castillo and Gatti combined.

Casa almost lost because he's 50% of the fighter he once was.

Diaz got beaten badly by Campbell but he'll be training 100% for this one and I predict he will completely and utterly annihilate Katsidis inside 7 rounds.

Look for dazzling handspeed, ferocious multipunch combinations and Katsidis getting hit with absolutely everything,

This will be like Pacquiao Diaz imo

By all accounts,If you have a heart condition....do not watch this fight.No way that this is not a fast paced ,intense fight.I can easily see both busted up but I'm going with Katsidis by decision.My big question is how exactly do both come back from devastating defeats.Contrary to the split dec by the judges,I had Campbell up by a few and he was inflicting some serious damage down the stretch on Diaz.Katsidis allowed himself to take things for granted against a extremely gifted much proven Grey beard in Casa and payed the big price in what,for all intents and purposes, was a one punch KO :fight:

You can say,The first to back up losses ?Lose's to Campbell and Casa respectively are no disgrace and I see both refining and coming in at top form.Diaz can cut Kats up and has shown a tremendous work rate lately but I wonder seriously if he can back Katsidis up & hurt him.I believe Kats is overly stronger,better body hitter but Should Diaz bring a 2nd gear combined with volume and mobile boxing,He can out hustle Kats all night.

I voted Diaz Decision but I think he could also win by a late KO. I don't see Katsidis winning this but for those of you who can bet 365 are offering 3/1 for a katsidis win of any kind!

Gonna be a tough fight and for me Diaz is the more solid, so will prevail and batter Katsidis into submission by the midway point.

Katsidis was shown to be severely lacking in defence.

I like Katsidis...I think he's great for the fans...but Diaz will outbox him & more than likely punish him with his speed & activity.

I think that Diaz is too good. No disrespect to Michael here but thats my opinion. I think he underestimated Nate and I would expect him to beat him in a rematch!

I'm amazed I had to go back 5 pages to find a thread on this fight! It's this weekend if you guys forgot, get with the program people.:p Can't wait for this one, gonna be a good action fight. I think Diaz will get a stoppage, and Barrios will knockout Juarez. Barrios has had a freaking major layoff though and could come out looking real rusty. Its been over a year since he fought last. I still think he has the power and will time Juarez jab once the fight wears on and catch him with a overhand right.
