~ My boy Christian Mijares just got a sweet 3rd round TKO win ~ (Video added)

After speding 2 hrs. looking for a channel from Mexico online that would show the fight. I realized that Fox Sports was also showing the fight :banghead:

Anyway, Mijares scored a sweet TKO over Sasakul....

Mijares looked exceptional. Strong from the start and punching brilliantly.
He tagged Sasakul in the 1st and tested him with faints to see his reaction. In the second round Mijares applied himself more and let his hands got. He dropped Sasakul but Sasakul made it out the round.
However Mijares not known for his aggression sensed something and dropped Sasakul again in the 3rd.

Good to see Mijares back in the ring but was there any other real outcome? This was not the Sasakul of old!

I am really disappointed we won't get Mijares/ Montiel this year as it looks like Montiel is rematching Gorres in December.

When he defeated Alexander Munoz.

I agree a great match up but not as great as Montiel/ Mijares, you know I don't follow titles Mick. It would be #1 vs #4 Jr. Bantam whereas Montiel/ Mijares would be for the vacant championship!

Yeah your right they seem to be getting quite a lot of interesting fights that Sky never did when they were ruling boxing. Also Nuts TV seems to be getting the odd good fight too. Last night they had Ruiz-Valuev and a few weeks ago the Povetkin fight! Overseas boxing is looking up here in the UK.

There have been many champs who have lost early in their careers:
Alexis Arguello, B-Hop, Carlos De Leon, JMM, Rafael Marquez, Jose Napoles and Carlos Monzon.

Have you ever noticed who TKO'd Jorge Arce in 1 round early in his career?

Mijares is awesome. Great victory for him.

Mijares has defensive moves that are eye-popping and his punch volume is astounding. This guy is the next great Mexican fighter in a long line of greats.

Mijares is a real quality operator, would love to see him fight Darchinyan
