The reason i say 2009 is because everybody seems to be scheduled for fights on september-december. So list away and say how will they end.
Some of the domestic fights this year proved better thanb the superfights (Mitchell - Johanson for instance.)
If boxing continues with the quantity, it can't help but produce quality.
Calzaghe: Pavlik will make me a happy bunny
Antonio Margaito-Paul Williams 2
Yes, thats a good call.
Hatton: Pac is another one that could happen.
I really hope Pac can do something special against Oscar but that size difference sucks.
I also want to see Toney work his way at a final title shot and against any of the holders. Not exactly a super fight but one that would hold my attention.
hatton vs witter, jmm vs pacman 3, pavlik vs kessler/froch.
all great fights but the 1 i want to see the most is pavlik vs abraham both are undefeated have titles and have very strong power and heart. abraham fought with a broken jaw for 8 rounds and pavlik gets knocked down sometimes but manages to knock his opponent out later on in the fight. if the fight should happen il be rooting for kelly;D
Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Diaz
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Joan Guzman
Ricky Hatton vs Timothy Bradley
David Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
Kelly Pavlik vs Chad Dawson
Lucian Bute vs Mikkel Kessler
Andre Berto vs Shane Mosley
Juan Manuel Lopez vs Israel Vasquez
There fights i think could realistically happen Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham won't happen with Pavlik moving up to Light Heavyweight
its only for the bhop fight after that he said himself its not permanent he wants to fight abraham sometime at the begining of the year and its pretty easy for him to go up and down from 175 to 160 because its his natural weight and he is still young enough to do it
Sorry but i disagree theres no way he will move down 15 pounds and its not healthy to do so and when he fights Arthur Abraham whos left at Middleweight division ? then he will have to move up again and that will be even worse i would have liked to have seen Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham but its looks unlikely now unless Abraham moves up...........
And with the prospect of Kelly Pavlik getting a fight with Joe Calzaghe if he beats Roy Jones Jr theres no way in hell he will even consider Arthur Abraham.
hhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa:rolleyes: calzaghe fight pavlik please he aint that crazy his dad wont let him go near pavlik after what he did to gary but oh how i wish that fight would happen but not likley everybody already knows the outcome of that fight. pavlik by KO
Also I guess you have to look at what Pavlik is coming in at in the B-Hop he might come in at what is natural to him like 166 or 168 which isn't all that much to drop back down to 160. I think if Pavlik comes in at 175 for the fight he will stay up there and probably give Dawson a run for his money.
I know it won't happen because Miranda has been shitting the bed as of late, but I wouldn't mind seeing Hopkins fight him. Mainly because after he pronounced Miranda the future of the middleweight division Pavlik handed him his head. Now that he fights at 168 he's right around the corner from Hopkins. I'd love to see what kind of trash-talking Hopkins does more so than the fight itself.
Juan Diaz vs. Pac
Vernon Forrest/Sergio Mora vs. Oscar De La Hoya
RJJ vs. Winky Wright
Chris Arreola vs. David Haye
Jonathan Banks vs. Chazz Witherspoon
Andre Dirrell vs. Andre Ward (FOTY IMO)
Ronald Hearns vs. Julio Caesar Chavez Jr.
Sam Peter vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
James Toney vs. Nikolai Valuev (I know it'd be freakshow of the year, but imagine how deep Valuev would have to bend to hit him)
Taurus Sykes vs. Jameel McCline (SIKE!)
M.Ali Vs R.Marciano
Sugar Ray Robinson Vs Sugar Ray Leonard
Salvador Sanchez Vs Willie Pep
M.Ali Vs M.Tyson
Sonny Liston Vs Jack Johnson
Jack Dempsey Vs Smokin Jow Frazier
You never know, maybe they are all still alive and have never grown old like the vampires in the fillm "The Lost Boys" and all living in a cave with Bruce Lee, Elvis, Bin Laden, Tupac and Marilyn Monroe
(lol)
Pavlik - Abraham
Juan Diaz - Pac
Margarito - PBF
Margarito - Williams II
Cotto - Williams
Molitor (after he beats Caballero) - Vasquez/Marquez/Lopez
Campbell/Guzman - Casa/Marquez
Calzaghe - Pavlik
Jones - Hopkins II (they can even bring their walkers into the ring with them)
Hatton - Juan Diaz
Kessler - Bute
all great fights especially hopkins vs jones 2 lol but my favorites so far on this thread is pavlik vs calzaghe and juan diaz vs pacman i doubt the tony vs paul fight will happen cause i just feel like tony doesnt want to fight paul again i mean he turned down a 4mil offer and he didnt make near that much on the cotto fight and he sure as hell aint gonna make that much by fighting clottey again so in my eyes he is avoiding paul
I'd rather see Pavlik go to 168 then try and stay at LHW; I wonder how his chin will hold up there. An old Hopkins is one thing; but I would rather him take a more step by step approach to moving and staying at LHW; and would love to see him after the Hopkins fight tread the waters at 168 and fight the winner of Andrade/Bute if possible; or Kessler.
I'd also like to see Kessler/Miranda happen at some time in 2009.
And I too want to see Margarito/Williams II; there's business there that needs to be handled.
Also; Clottey/Cotto or Cintron/Cotto; plus a rematch with Margarito/Cotto.
James Kirkland vs. Alfredo Angulo.......two fiery prospects take turns wrecking one another but I like Angulo.
Margarito vs. Clottey 2......Lets put the asterisk hand excuse to rest.Great rematch Imo
Margarito vs. Williams 2......would love it but in no way do I see it happening,Williams on his way up with out a doubt I believe
Kelly Pavlik vs. Arthur Abrahams......gimme gimme gimme

Cristian Mijares vs. Fransisco Montiel......pitching a tent on this one :-X
Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton.......this would be fun
James Toney vs. David Haye......Fat man takes him to school but Haye is guaranteed excitment
Chris Arreola vs. Sam Peter....just entered head, hide the kids
Jermain Taylor vs. Mikkel Kessler......wtf
Joseph Agbeko,Jorge Linares,Winky wright,Steve cunningham,Allen Green vs. anyone on live TV......Andre Berto vs. a legitimate top ten fighter.....Antonio Tarver vs. An F-150 pick up truck.....Amir Khan vs.Juan Urango .....
Wladdy-Haye

Williams v Margarito
Taylor v Froch
Taylor v Kessler
Diaz v Pac
Any of them fights and i would be a happy bunny.
Actually, I think Calzaghe might make Pavlik look downright one-dimensional.
Im not to sure, i think Joe is on the slide, maybe im wrong but i look at the 12th round in the Kessler fight and see Pavlik doing that for as many rounds as possible before he stops Joe, you could be right and Joe totally outboxs him, but i just cant see him keeping Pavlik off and if this fight does happen its gonna be at least another 6-8 months so Joe gets even more older.
Biggest fight for me would be PBF vs Margo... oh how i would love to see that.
Margarito-Cotto II
Hatton-De la Hoya
W/V Klitschko-Haye
Williams-Forrest
Abraham-Pavlik
Kessler-Taylor
W Klitschko-Povetkin
Jones Jr-Hopkins II
?????????????????????????
Hatton Vs Pac
DLH would be too big for Hatton if Pac can beat DLH then this would be a barnstormer
Dela Hoya v Hatton is one fight i dont want to see, two money grabbing figthers past there prime.
Hatton v Pac
Calzaghe V Dawson
Taylor v Kessler
Pavlik v Williams
Vitali v Haye
Cotto v Margarito
Mayweather v Cotto
I would like to see Cotto have a few more fights before he fights Margarito
that fight was a confidence killer.
Abraham-Pavlik
Dawson - Cloud
Hatton - Pac Man
Haye - Wladdy
Williams - Cotto
Taylor - Kessler
Froch - Anyone good!
I'm going with the following:
Any combination of Cotto, Margarito, Mayweather, Berto
Pacquiao vs Hatton
Any combination of Pacquiao, Marquez, Campbell, Juan Diaz, Valero, Soto
Pavlik vs Abraham
Pavlik vs Calzaghe
Pavlik vs Williams
Vlad/Vitali vs Haye
Taylor vs Kessler
Oscar De La Hoya vs Nonito Donaire
Margarito-Cotto II
DLH-Mosley III
Hopkins-Jones II
Klitchko's - Vlauev
1. Vlad vs. Vitali (I guess is just a “dream” fight)
2. Calzaghe vs. Dawson
3. Kessler vs. Taylor/Bute
4. Andrade vs. Froch (not a dream fight but an interesting one)
5. Abraham vs. Pavlik
6. Mayweather Jr vs. Cotto/Margarito
Hahaha, I've got a lot of fights I would like to see. These fights might not be the most important to their respective divisions but these are fights I really want to see:
Calzaghe vs Dawson (I have no idea why HBO isn't behind Dawson and they let him fight on Showtime, the guy is an American with a good personality, very good wins on his record, undefeated, involved in crowd pleasing fights for the most part, and is already being touted by RJJ and Floyd as the next great boxing talent. They could make him a decent star in boxing. I'm not sure who would win this match but I'd give a slight edge to JoeCal.)
Hopkins vs RJJ II (I think it would be an appropriate way to say goodbye to two legends and both seem to actually wanna throw punches now so the fight might actually be good.)
Pacquiao vs JMM III (Sure, JMM has lost two fights but the fights are great and no one can ever come to a consensus on who actually won them, so let them keep fighting. JMM is probably gonna have to come up to 140.)
Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr. (If Manny Pacquiao can beat ODLH then he can hang in there with Floyd. It would be a great fight, handspeed galore. Too bad Manny ain't beating Oscar. This one will stay a dream)
Pacquiao vs Hatton (My third fight involving Pac and probably the most feasible even if he loses against ODLH)
Vasquez vs JuanMa (Is Lopez next big thing? I'd say yes. This fight would be a great fight for as long as it lasts. I think that JuanMa's power is too much at this weight though.)
Antonio Margarito vs Paul Williams II (The first fight was good and this would determine the true king at welterweight. I don't see how Tony can be the welterweight champion of the world when he was clearly beaten by Paul Williams a year ago. Think PW is moving to 154 though.)
Antonio Margarito vs Clottey II (This one is under the radar but the first fight was great. Clottey was seriously SCHOOLING Tony the first five rounds and then he hurt both hands. What would have happened if he didn't hurt his hands?)
Ricky Hatton vs Zab Judah @ 140 (This is a fight that was on it's way to happening, until Zab got knocked the fuck out by Tszyu. I think it would be an intriguing matchup and a good fight.)
Kelly Pavlik vs Arthur Abraham (Abraham is making some serious noise and Kelly finally has a legitimate challenge to his crown. Pavlik hasn't fought at 160 in over a year so he needs to defend his crown against the biggest threat to prove he's still the man.)
David Haye (with one more quality win under his belt) vs Wlad Klitschko (This would be the HUGE fight the heavyweight division really needs.)
Sam Peter vs David Haye (Just for the sheer magnitude of the bombs that are thrown in this fight. Each punch would look like it could rip someone's head off)
Miguel Cotto vs Andre Berto (I think this is a great matchup and would be an outstanding fight. Might be too soon for Berto though.)
Floyd Mayweather vs Oscar De La Hoya II @ 147 (I thought the first fight was really good in some spurts and boring in others. I think that the second fight would be much better. Let's not forget that while I had Floyd winning by three or four rounds, the judges thought it was a split decision. But I will only advocate this rematch at 147, ODLH is too big at 154 to make an entertaining fight with Mayweather. If he can talk shit to a lightweight like Pacquiao, then he let's see him come down and fight Mayweather on level ground.)
1. Cotto-Margarito II
2. JML- Vazquez
3. any good heavyweight fight (if there IS such a thing nowadays)
4. Oscar versus anybody his own size
