Seem Haye seem to be struggling to find a decent HW to fight he could do a lot worse than Skelton who has fought a few of top 15 rated blokes and has never been stopped.
He also gave a good acount of him self in his wba title fight which was a lot closer than most expected and his name is recognisable to boxing insiders.
Like i said Haye could fight a lot worse fighters than Skelton.At least with him we know what we are getting.
Wouldnt surprise me if it turns out to be Michael Sprott
don't think Skelton would be a good fight for him, I could see him taking Hayes power and wearing him down by clinching and leaning on him then possibly stopping him late on

Skelton is a 40 yr old one dimensional bum who when every time steps up in class fails to deliver. He has no skill whatsoever and just brawles making him so boring to watch. Also he is ranked outside the top 15 in all the major organizations.

Skelton is hardly a world beater but comparing him to Bonin is damn right disrespectful.
What Skelton does bring for Haye is a comparison to the Chagaev performance as well
as a physicality he'll have to get used to in this division without a danger of being KO'd. Also Skelton will fucking turn up.

Just coz the wbc rate him at number 11 or 12 that dos not mean that he is really that good it just means the wbc are corrupt.Which of course they are.

It's in Haye's Setanta contract that he has to fight a top ten heavyweight this fight as ranked by the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO. Are any of those guys seriously going to put Skelton in the top ten just to earn a sanctioning fee? It's not like they have a history of doing things like that in the past, is it?

I think you have lost the point of the whole thread which is that Skelton while not idea would be a lot better opponent than most.

I'm not sure what your point is. His performance against Audley means nothing, he's a doorman who's never beaten a guy with a winning record, for all his limitations Skelton has faced good opposition including a creditable performance against the WBA champion.Quote:
