Froch-Pascal Set !!!! Dec 6th

The fight is taking place in Nottingham! I cant actually wait for this, its the step up Carl really needs and hes going to deliver big time!!! Jean Pascal will do well for a few rounds but as soon as he finds the pressure and Froch starts landing those powerpunches hes going to slow right down and get stopped in the mid rounds.

This really is the start of big things for Froch and you will all see that!! hes going to be in some really big fights in 09!

Pascal's chin is weak. There's just no two ways about it. He's extremely fast and pretty talented, but that chin is glass. Its a shame.

I really do think that this is his time to shine and hes up for this! hes waited far too long for this and you know its going to be a great fight!

Im really thinking about going ringside for this, I need to save my pennys. Its my 18th in 2 weeks so I think mum knows what present to buy me ;D

Froch should thank his lucky stars that he has hoodwinked Tam Seddon in to believing hes a top fighter because no one else would be bringing his name up, or this fight, giving him any sort of recognition.

He may not of fought anyone ranked for the shot but he has at least been looking for names. He called out Taylor for the shot and Taylor ducked him. How is he meant to prove himself if he doesn't get given the chance. Personally i don't think he's all that but you should at least give him a chance.

Good fight... it's competing head on with Hoya vs. PAC fight happening on the same day (different time tho)...

Oppsss... Amir "The Tomato" Khan will also have his comeback fight on the same day/night in Birmingham... against the marvelous "TBA" (?) boxer... ;)

Taylor might be a former middleweight but he is a big middleweight and put on a very good performance in his last fight, not only that but Taylor is ranked in the top 5 of the WBC rankings.

Pavlik will be a super middleweight in a year or two.

He has no wins at supermiddleweight but as i said his performance against Pavlik the second time at 166 was a good performance even though he lost. Taylor would be a good test for Froch.

Sorry Tam, i like Froch but i also like Pascal. I think that if Pascal can keep from getting hit with a solid shot he wil probably win by desicion. its a very interesting matchup. but since i have nothing to win or loose on this fight well........good luck.

Taylor even having 2 losses in his last 2 fights and being knocked out would be absolutely head and shoulders above anyone that Carl has faced so far and there is the joke, how has he earned this shot?

He hasnt earned it at all, he keeps talking about Calzaghe much like Haye keeps talking about Wladamir Klitschko and this is how both have gained notoriety, Froch moreso as Haye has actually fought and beat world class fighters.

Well , sad but true, more people will watch Khans fight than Frochs, Frochs fight will obviously mean more but Khan is the attraction.

I have heard alot about Paschal but looking at his record he doesnt seem to have any names either and in his last fight was hurt quite bad, it is a step up in that he is fighting someone the same league as himself and not shopworn or smaller.

It will be interesting but im not sure having a week chin against Froch is that bad as he doesnt throw a great deal, he is quite robotic, his foot work aint great, he is often left out of position while he does his posing.

As long as Paschals defence and movement is ok I think he wins but I dont really know much about about him, Froch does have good power but im still to be convinced he can make it count at the top level, against smaller fighters or older fighters whov had the resiliance beat out of them long before it will be a factor but as soon as he faces someone who can box and has a bit of desire I think he will look silly.

A few fighters have out jabbed and out manouvered him till they fell apar, like Magee and Dodson for instance and if they can then the better fighters surely will and wont flake out.

Magee never out jabbed him at all..i was ringside that night and Magee did well until Froch (with a knackered hand) dropped him in the 2nd or 3rd then hit him so hard he was on an Oxygen mask and out cold for nearly a minute;D

No magee was outboxing him and Dodson was outjabbing him, until they fell apart again like they had before, theres a reason Froch didnt take the Calzaghe fight;D

I havent seen much of Pascal and Froch may beat him but what does it prove?

Pascal is in the same position as Froch, almost the same amount of fights against no one of any consequence, the only difference being that Pascall has done it over 3 years and not 6;D

Regardless of what skills I may have missed from Froch, I think his age may hurt him, ok hes not had ANY hard fights but to wait till your 31 to face your first live opponent is a risk in itself.

His gullible supporters keep telling us that his reflexes are awesome, well ive seen him caught by alot of shots, including that windmill right hand from a sadly old Reid, if he cant avoide punches from old, retired, beat up, never was's then hes gonna have a shock when he steps in with someone who ive noticed is sharp and quick.

Pascal may not have alot of power but I saw he is quite snappy, with Carls slowing reflexes and never having had to learn to avoid anything dangerous, I can see Pascal peppering Froch and keeping a distance (because he may have read Tams assesments on Frochs awesome power) to a decision.

The other thing is, Pascal has boxed 67 rounds in 6 fights since the beggining of 07 compared to frochs 11 rounds in 3 fights, ok he may have the higher ko percentage but against who??

Pascal will do the distance easy, Froch will struggle.

Good matchup, Pascal looked very vulnerable the last I saw him against Pittman but he may well have learned from that and picked up a few things. He has a hell of a lot more talent and potential than Froch, just not sure what he can do with it. Pick em fight for me, if it goes the distance Pascal should win.

I must say I quite like Froch. He has got his big chance quite late but he still has time to make a big impression on the boxing world. I believe he will take it with both hands and be quite a force to be reckoned with in the SMW division.

so what if hes old? whats the matter with being an older fighter? hes gained the experience he needed for the fight and now hes truelly ready. your making it out as if hes like 40 odd, thats old! 31 isnt too old, hes got at least another 4-5 good solid years in him!

Cuz he don't fight great fighters. And don't even try and pump up Pascal as being more than he really is. What he is, is a coward who punked out against Miranda. If Fraud beats him it would be no big deal. If Pascal beats Fraud it would be no big deal either. But fighters are overrated.

It wasn't to long ago that a certain poster here, who I ain't going to name (Leftylee) who swore up and down Paul Shiit (Smith) was a future champion. I think it's become pretty clear that Shiit will never be a champion. Look at all the undeserved hype A Mere Con got. Con still ain't found all his teeth yet. Your doing the same thing with Fraud. You make him seem like he's some kind of wrecking machine with little to no faults. When in reality is he's far from a wrecking machine. And he has a ton of faults. Your comparing three fighters as if they are all bound to meet the same fate? That doesnt make sense at all. Carl Froch hasnt done anything to suggest hes a fraud, hes won every fight in mostly knockout fashion and NEVER been knocked down. Hes shown he can also take a dig, which is a bit more than Amir Khan can do! Paul Smith just simply underestimated the fighter and he paid the price for it. He wasnt up for the fight be I can guarentee 9 times out 10 Paul would have beaten him.

Carl is my favourite fighter, im not not blinded, i just tend to support him because thats what people do who follow their fighter. Either way, all question are going to be answered in the next year because I can see Carl getting a fight with Mikkel Kessler, Librando Andrade, Lucian Bute or maybe even Kelly Pavlik. The more elite fighters at 168. If he does get sparked out, i wont be a little bitch and make up all of the excuses under the sun. Im not like that at all, all im saying is Carl Froch has the potential to be a great fighter and you should recognise that.
