Guys Help me out here

Please help me out here, I just don't get it, if there is a secret I don't know about please tell me what it is. Why is nobody interested in talking about Yusaf Mack, Delray Raines V.S. Tarvis Simms post gets 200 odd looks and 39 responses, neither of them can fight, Kid Thunder is a complete joke but gets everyone interested with 100's post albeit mostly ripping him to pieces. etc etc, but the last mention of Yusaf got 16 looks and no posts, no positive or negative, is it that nobody cares?.

I don't really care but I just don't get it, he is 26-2 his 2 losses came to one former world champ and the other is probably going to be one, both of which slug feasts in which he ran out of steam after putting his heart and sole into it, both losses have been admitted he was in poor condition, weight drained and badly preprepared. Now he has worked his ass off for a year to get back in shape and now is a contender for one of the major belts again. And won 3 on the spin 2 against reasonable opponents.

I am not trying to promote my guy I am just interested maybe there is something I am missing. You have his manager on here and myself who is his trainer, he spent time writing the Trainer questions in the Training log section, I thought there may be a little more support on here for him.

I guess he's just not well known. My only knowledge of him came in the Andrade fight, I'd never heard of him before, although I imagine he's rather better known in the US.

Is the fight even televised?

It's hard to get excited for a minor fight featuring fighters I barely know on a card that may not even be filmed.........

But if it is on telly somewhere I'll watch the fight for sure.

I'm sure people would talk about him, but if there's no upcoming fight to discuss, there's not a whole lot to say. Fights against the Daniel Judah's and Omar Pittman's of the world, while necessary and understandable, aren't going to generate a whole lot of buzz I'm afraid.

Like I said, if there's not an upcoming fight to discuss, there's not a lot to say.

I think people are inrterested in Kid Thunder because he looks funny, fights funny and talks funny.

Him saying he will kick Legion's ass and throw him in his snake pit has to go down as one of the finest posts on Saddo's.

Well the Berrio blow out still haunts him, but he is coming back nicely. One more good win, and he will be noticed again. I like him; always have, but he was made to order for Naco.

I really don't know jmb. As far as the Kid Thunder thing goes...look at it like a Barnum and Bailey type thingy. For some reason, it makes people I think get amused, and maybe even feel better about themselves looking, pointing, and talking about something far from the norm. Delusion is and can be interesting also. Zelenoff and the whole start and lot of them, yea got a lot of attention and still do, but I doubt it is the kind of attention you'd want, and yet it is exposure...it is a bit of a riddle, no doubt.

I followed the Mack fight quietly, because I've been quiet lately, becuz i know you guys and it got my interest that way. I don't generally watch a lot of tv fights period, soI am not say an average fan perspective. More from a fighters perspective. I tend to need to be personally involved in some way to be really interested, a particular fighter I like, or if maybe it is a much advertised fight, to tune in.

Most on this board know a lot more about fighters in general then me, so there opinions should probably account for more from that fan and history perspective. But that is my perspective. Something really needs to capture my interest for me to tune in. So all I can think, is that maybe you guys as promoters might look at how to attract a bigger audience. Promote, promote, promote. Find cheap ways with large audiences. Shameless promotion is not a bad thing I don't think...especially if it is leading to a performance that is far from shameful. So basically any promotion I think for you guys is a good thing. More then better.

Anyway, was glad to hear Yusaf won, and look forward to his next fight. :)

That's exactly it. It's a freak show. People are always going to be more likely to stare at the car-crash in the intersection than at the shiny Mercedes parked across the street. If that even makes sense.

Never heard of him till now and as for him posting in the Trainer section, I don't go there that often. Is there any videos of him that have been posted lately?

If you want him known and talked about, bring him out to play more often in the other sections.

We won't be too hard on him at first....

Tarvis Simms can fight and he is a world rated fighter who will not only beat your guy Yusef Mack, but can even knock him out i have seen tarvis simms sparr Mack in philly at shulers gym and simms busted him all up i mean mouth,nose bleeding as if mack had his period and simms also had him out on his feet until buster (yusef's EX Trainer) had to stop it ! all and all dont come on here trying to promote your guy and then put other fighter's down cause they both can fight and i am a fan of the both of them but i hate it when these guy's work there ass off and all idiot's like yourself do is put them down.Tarvis Simms is also undefeated ,LOL

Get a life Dude simms will smoke mack any day of the week, i've witness a sparring session btwn the two at shulers gym in west philly and simms beat the shit out of mack i mean simms had mack bleeding like he needed a tampon,and also having mack out on his feet until buster (mack's ex-trainer) had to stop it because of the beating and to come on here and discredit another fighter to promote your own is cheesy and it also says alot about your character simms and mack are two real good fighters and you have to respect that as simms is undefeated and looking better in every fight .

Ever since Berrio used that kiss on top of Mack's head-straight right combination, most fans went overt to Naco's side. :gay5:

As Kid's MOm I will be as fair as I know how to be but think someone else said it better "train wreck " that said Kid cares about all this stuff talks alot of crap gets people laughing and occasionaly thinking maybe as someone else said you oughta brave the waters and have your fighter come out to play

I know how people feel about My son and I also know there are a few who really want to help him to those few I say thank you but for the record most genuine people want to see the underdog come out on top even when said underdog acts like an idiot

Like others have said, he still need to prove he can win his big fights. I think the two biggest names he fought, he lost to. Beating Chris Henry will be a big step towards getting some fame, he just has to keep building, because losses in boxing, it's kind of like everyone writes you off until you do something great.

Laffs no actually I was leaning forward trying to stop the camera person from taking the picture however at least I know now that you have a aversion to breasts as I stated in another thread god gave them to me he will eventually take them away in the meantime I intend to enjoy them or flaunt them whichever but thank you for clearing up your issue with my pic

Mack is very talented but each time he has been on the cusp of breaking through to the next level he has come up short. The Andrade fight was excellent but he was defeated!

All I'm saying is a win here puts Mack into the next bracket & I guarantee people will be talking about him when mentioning fights that should happen at 175.

Henry is in the same boat, a very solid pro but the loss to Diaconu set him back.

This is a great crossroads fight & the loser is not neccessarily thrown out to pasture but the winner can look forward to big things along with a nice following to go along.

Besides there is another thread updating us on Macks progress as well!

Definate crossroads (for two contenders) fight with a refreshing feel.Mack was cruising in with Andrade,caught him with that 'blind' punching speed for crisp KD but allowed Andrade to get rolling after...and he stopped moving,got worn down.I dont think Henry....who is sparse in quality of opposition himself....is as strong as Andrade when it comes to pressure and volume.I do think its a step for both....Mack is better known,maybe more gears than Henry (??) and getting career going after loss.Alot about Henry is up in the air....lots of pressure,active puncher but one of those where nothing in particular stands out.This is a huge oppurtunity for either to bounce ahead from.My gut tells me Henry but Ive been wrong before :fight:.Tune in FNF

IMO, Mack can outbox this guy easy, he just has to be cautious and not make it a brawl. Henry will press the action I pressume, and Mack will try and keep out of Henrys range, and counter punch when he comes in. This will be a good test of Macks endurance because he will get pressured throughout.
