Shane Mosley NEVER went to the nueatral corner! INCLUDES VIDEO CLIP

In case no one noticed, cus God knows HBO sure as hell didn't. Sugar Shane Mosley stood right over Ricardo Mayorga, just about 5 feet away from him when he dropped him.

He was not sent to a neutral corner like he should have been. And with the 2 seconds that were left he would not have knocked Mayorga out without a little "help" from the ignorant referee.

I'm not arguin that Mayorga would have won, because that knockdown sealed his fate, even for the most diehard Mayorga fan. Which is me.

But the man would have went the distance with Mosley. Which is what he deserved to do, and made a good fight of it.

Clearly if the tables were turned, and Mosley had been knocked out in this fashion, HBO would have cried foul.

Me and my mate that i watched the fight with both said the same thing at the time,

the referee made a mistake and Mosley capitalised on it, its not right that HBO pretended it didnt happen, Mayorga deserved to finish the fight

It happens. As I recall, Ali didn't go to a neutral corner against Liston. Yes, HBO should have pointed it out. I, for one, am glad. I really enjoyed watching Mayorga get floored with that left hook. That punch was a thing of beauty.

I believe the ref didn't say anything because his primary concern was for the well being of Mayorga.

with the 2 knockdowns in that round and using the 10 point must system the judges would have scored that round 10-7 so the scores would have read 117-109, 114-112, 115-111

Neither did Julio Cesar Chavez against Meldrick Taylor, that reminded me exactly of that situation when i rewatched Mosley vs Mayorga.

It matters to me. And it matters to other fight fans who want to see every fighter get a fair shake.

Not just the HBO house fighter.

Mayorga deserved to go the distance and he deserved to have the referee follow the damn rules.

Its not a pointless debate because Mayorga ended up taking a DYNAMITE left hook on top of the beating he was taking that he shouldn't have been subjected to.

You people that don't care because it was Mayorga or because you loved the KO should know that boxing is a vicious, dangerous sport and there are rules and regulations put in place to protect the fighter. One of the more important, logical rules was broken by the ref and he should be disciplined for it.

Tell you one thing..if that was the other way round and it happened to shane (it wouldn't;)) there'd be uproar,a rematch and the ref would be pulled up,fined and probably banned from pro fights altogether.
Maybe he was too busy checking Mayorga after the first ko as he took some big shots but rules are rules at the end of the day and they clearly and visibly were not followed.

Well if we want to get all on the subject he should of called the fight after the first knockdown because Margay was out. Shane would of won anyhow but if you want to go at it fine and it would not happen to Shane Mosley. The mans got a chin of steal and never been knocked out so whats the point of saying if it happen to Shane which is never would have yet another point thats not even being mentioned about that what if it happen to Shane well it would not happen dont worry about it.
