I mean if Abraham was in a weakened and vulnerable state from making weight, he should not go ahead with the fight at this time. A fighters health should be held at the highest level.
It does not remove the fact that it was his responsibility to make the weight though, but where do you draw the line? If you strip him Marquez loses out also. At least the fight will still happen next month so all is not lost I guess.
AA looked like an anorexic he was ready to lose.

lol Mick. Convenient for you and Abraham. Marquez should get some kind of compensation for having to stay longer in Germany. Typical shit, AA get alot of favoritism in Germany. Marquez is in for some surprise if he thinks he is winning a close one on the cards.

He was immediately brought to the Erlangen University Hospital where ring physician Dr. Walter Wagner and a local specialist diagnosed a flu virus. The sad consequence is tonight's entire card has been postponed until November 8th. "I am incredibly sorry for my fans," said Abraham. "I wanted to fight, but in this physical condition, I can't climb into the ring. The doctors have forbidden me." The story is accompanied by photos of Abraham lying in a hospital bed looking miserable and another of a doctor looking at his throat.
From what I've read Abraham may have had trouble making weight. Either way, going to university hospital because you have a cold is close to the weakest thing I've ever heard in my whole fucking life.
Say you've got the flu if you need to bullshit, but the university hospital and the stupid photos when real people with REAL illnesses can't get a bed??

Ironic?? Maybe if he had a worse cold before the Miranda fight and had chose not to pull out, it would be ironic. Sounds more just like bad luck to me. Why would there really be any correlation between physical pain he overcame in a fight to win, and not wanting to enter the ring sick for another one? Having said that it does sound like a bit of a BS excuse to me but who knows.
If hes ill hes ill its a career here. Its not as if he is in anyway scared of Marques, who lets be honest hasnt been brought in to beat Abrahams.

They say they stopped the fight from happening due to Abraham having Flu-Like Symptoms. Abraham was 6 Pounds over the weight limit less than two days before the weigh in. He had to melt off more the day of the weigh in. For the record, I will list below the symptoms of Dehydration alone for comparison:
If dehydration is allowed to continue unabated, when the total fluid loss reaches 5% the following effects of dehydration are normally experienced:
He does not have the flu. He simply struggled to make weight. The doctors saying flu-like keeps Abraham from being fined and perhaps even being stripped of his belt.
- Increased heart rate
- Increased respiration
- Decreased sweating
- Decreased urination
- Increased body temperature
- Extreme fatigue
- Muscle cramps
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Tingling of the limbs
- Chills
Arthur has become too big for a Middleweight and it is just a matter of time before he moves up.

Ever since the Miranda fight he's been overprotected, he didn't even try to fight: Hopkins, Taylor, Pavlik, or anyone else of note in the division or in 168.
Abraham hasn't even bothered to fight his own countrymen who are any good.
Yeah he looks like the weight is an issue, he looks gaunt and hollow eyed. Hey Pavlik, Miranda, and Taylor couldn't make weight anymore either, there is no fault in that BUT at least fight someone decent, there's NO reason to delay a fight like this infact there is no reason to fight this fight because Marquez is a has been.
