I think Dawson wins a close decision. Tarver is getting old and Dawson is the future of the division. It's hard to call though really, I could see Tarver being able to hurt/stop Dawson as well.
i also voted for Dawson by decision. as CFH said Dawson is the future of the division
I took Dawson by decision, his speed is gonna fluster Tarver all night.
Dawson is good, but old man Tarver is gonna catch him and check that chin. Dawson will be ahead on points, but points won't matter. Tarver by KO.

Very good fight IMO im looking forward to this its old skool vs new skool. Chad Dawson has the advantage in speed, slickness, height, but Antonio Tarver has better experience at the world stage, and has more power.
The question is how many times can Antonio Tarver clock Chad Dawson's suspect chin, and how many times can Chad Dawson hit and not get hit. But i like Chad Dawson by decision, before the Clinton Woods fight. Everyone thought Antonio Tarver was a washed up fighter.
And even though it was a good performance from Antonio Tarver, to redeem himself from his other lackluster fights, Clinton Woods realistically is a limited one dimensional fighter. Although im not saying he is bad fighter, he certainly has improved since Roy Jones whooped him and he is a solid fighter.
But i still don't think that performance from Antonio Tarver is enough to beat Chad Dawson, so as i said earlier i like Chad Dawson by decision.
i put dawson by decision. But last night as GOD as my witness i had a dream about this fight i dont know why so dont ask, but in my dream TARVER kod the hell out of Dawson. I hope that doesnt happen it would be a big upset for me.
I'm going Tarver TKO,just think he's slicker and will frustrate dawson and maybe grind him down and clip him late on;)

Chad Dawson by UD. This is his time to make a big name for himself, if he is the next big thing it all starts right here
It could go either way, but I like to think Tarver can rattle Dawson and take more rounds.
Tarver UD or possible stoppage. Im really not sure though.
Dawson is highly skilled but is far from an all round fighter. He got a gift (imo) against a Glen johnson that lost to the mighty Clinton Woods.
If Tarver gets in Dawsons face and roughs him up he will win. Id he elects to box Dawson he loses.
Tough call i go dawson another dodgy dec.
BCD by decision...he starts off solid and outworks Tarver but slows down and it's close late.
Dawson by UD. Tarver is grabage. He can make it tricky for Clinton Woods with his style. But Woods is even more garbage. Dawson is the more fresher, hungrier fighter. Let's remember a past it B-Hop took Tarver to school.

This fight has so many questions, the main one for me is Dawsons chin. He is much faster & has the better reflexes so I don't see Tarver being able to out box Chad. But if Tarver can move his hands he can have success & if he can land a big left hand like the one he caught Jones with in the second fight that'll be the fight!
But I think Bad Chad keeps his range & boxes, scoring with nice counters
Bad Chad by decision. I am a big fan of Bad Chad. Recall that Bad Chad beat Ademak and Ademak ain't no joke. Chad had problems with Glen Johnson's bulldogesque style, but Tarver won't crowd Dawson like Johnson did. Dawson will use his superior footwork and handspeed to outpoint Tarver.
Tarver has to be one of my least favorite boxers... I haven't seen Dawson fight, but I hope that he beats Taver worse than B-Hop did.
ok fella's i have to admit i'm totally bias on this one, i can't stand tarver so i picked him to loose by double K.O. I hope dawson Ko's his ass, tarver wakes up in the locker room and dawson comes around the corner in a bathtowel and knocks his ass out again. I met dawson at arco arena last year while at his mendoza fight, i should have shoved some brass knuckes in his pocket like the burger king dude.
Conventional wisdom says BCD to dominate an old Tarver BUT Antonio is probably one of the most confident fighters of this era and a proven clutch performer he is not a shop worn 39 either.. Tarver also has other intangibles as well.. Like I said everyone likes to see Tarver dribbled around the ring like a basketball, but I'm feeling that Dawson is gonna be getting his chin checked for the KO by Tarver.
