Picking V.Klitschko by Stoppage
from the looks of the polls somebodys gonna get knocked the f&$% out;D
Vitali by KO, he's big, strong, and if he's in shape it should have an easy time with Sam Peter who is one dimensional and not really an exceptional defensive fighter
I expect Vitali to stop Peter.
I think the rust will hurt Vitali. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see him beat fat ass Sam Peter. Slow as you can get.
hopefully it ends in a double KO or a draw
if it even comes off
Peter KO 9
I think Peter will KO Klitschko, just a gut feeling I have.
Vitali knocks Peter out in six. Too big too awkward. Ring rust might play a factor but I'm confident Vitali stops him even with the rust.
If Vitali does lose (as bad as I will feel for him) it would actually make a rematch between Wlad and Sam worth a LOT....and we all know Nicolay Valuev is a gigantic pussy and therefore Wlad-Sam Peter would be for basically all the belts that mean anything.
I still think #1 Ring rust doesn't hurt Vitali's STYLE if anything it makes it better as he's awkward to begin with, #2 Getting hit is going to be the issue for Vitali but his defense as you may recall was quite effective vs the shorter guys he has fought. Sam's handspeed and lack of defense just swings the entire fight in Vitali's favor.
Vitali by KO! If he comes in as half the man he was he will have far too much for Peter.
At least this is what I am hoping for, for the sake of the heavyweight division.
Vitali by Decision.
I think the time he's spent out of the ring will hurt him late in the fight.
I think he's got enough skills to beat Peter.
His time away from the ring is his biggest dismay and that will cost him the fight if he were to loose.
Peter will lose by stoppage , he is fat , slow , and will be exposed.
Vitali's been out for 4 years & suffered injuries & surgeries!
If he thinks he's going to be the same fighter he's kidding himself!
I don't think that much of Peter but he should be able to deal with an inactive invalid like Vitali!!! Kiltschko probably hurts himself getting into the ring (at least he'll have an excuse for getting KTFO!)
IMO Peter has to win this fight for the good of the game. Two Klitschko's claiming to be the 'champions' is just ridiculous...
I'm no peter fan but he's gonna blow vitali's ass up. Bad choice for first fight back imo.
peter wins
As poor and limited peter is i think people are forgetting Vitali has not fought one round in 4yrs.
How many fighters have not fought in 4yrs come back and beat elite in their division?
Think guys, think.
Shamigiddymoan!
Vitali by ko, he trains hard and he comes into the ring serious and focused Vitali's ring rust might allow Sam to see rd6, at the end of the fight Samuel Peter will not be hollering "WHO NEXT?"
Vitali wins this one easily, after awkwardly defending early round assaults by Sam. Im thinking around 5 or 6, Vitali finds his groove and starts to pound on Sam. McClline put Sam down with shots nowhere near what Vit is capable of.
If Sam wins its because he caught Vitali very early with something fresh and shiny.
But im 90% sure Vitali weathers a few Tyson-like opening rounds and puts Peter to sleep in 8 or 9.
It's not as if Vitali hasnt been training. He's not showing up on fight night after doing like 20 jumping jacks in 4 years. He'll be ready and it will be a technically proficient late round stoppage.
Peters will hopefully win by ko.....history will tell you that it is not a good idea to go straight into a world title fight after having so much time of due to injury....unless this fight goes the distance and the home fighter gets a silly home decision.
Job Biscuit (Late round KO 4 Peters)!!!
eh eh!!
I got Peter by TKO in round 11
I am banking on Vitali being arthitic and injury prone.
I want Vitali to win, history says 4yrs is too long.
Peter clear dec.
If Vitali wasn't coming off of a 4 year retirement he'd pepper the plodder to death in 6 rounds.
I can see (can't really.. haven't got a clue) Vitali winning a controversial decision.
i think this will be a belter and personally can't wait.
Vitali earnt his stripes against Lennox and i admire him as a fighter albeit pretty boring to watch.
This'll get messy this one;)
4 years is a LONG time to be inactive so this is wide open but i think VK can stop him.
Gonna be interesting to see how well the scar tissue round his eye has healed because Peter will bash him about a bit!
I am very surprised at how many think Peter not only win but knock Vitali out. Vitali has never been knocked down let alone knocked out. He also took one of the best right uppercut's thrown by Lennox and didn't even buzz him.Peter has been down by an old McCline like what 3 times. Vitali will use his height to where Peter can not hit him with those alligator arms and eventually Vitali will get to him late and stop him. Or he could go after Peter as he did against Kirk Johnson and get rid of him early. I do not see a thing that Peter could do to him. Except hold and hit behind the head. Easy KO victory for Vitali.
For all we know Vitali would be hard pressed to score an "easy" KO victory over anyone worth a damn at this point. As has been said a lot in this thread, it's a long time off to be coming straight back into a title fight against a dangerous puncher. Of course if he hasn't slipped to much he should smash Peter's face in, but it's a big if when you think of how long he has been out with supposed injuries and pursuing other things. The man has gone half grey for crying out loud, it's very possible that he's lost it imo. I am looking forward to this fight, should be exciting either way it goes.
Still not convinced that this fight is even going to happen...
I think Peter sucks though, a healthy older brother should beat him.
maybe after the brothers k finish their next fights, one of them can fight haye and that hype can be settled.
Vitali in early rounds.
Vitali by KO.. Peter's last fight against Oleg was impressive but can't see him doing that against a much bigger opponent.
Ive gone with Vitali by TKO/KO but i want Sam Peter to win i hope he stops Vitali The shots Peter soaked up off Wlad led me to believe he had a real good chin then Jameel dropped him 3 times so im just hoping that was a off night and he shows the chin of old.
It doesn't matter what he took off of Wlad because that final left hook in the 12th round cracked Sam Peter's mythical iron chin.
Vitali will systematically beat down Sam Peter and I'd be surprised if Sam lasted to the 8th round
If Danny Williams lasted 8 rounds with Vitali im sure Sam Peter can last that or more with a Vitali who has not fought for 4 year. Anyone got footage of Pele Reid knocking out Vitali as a kick boxer?
Almost impossable to really call
Though I dont know if Peter should be listening to his buddy Lennox that much, that cut doesnt happen against Vitali................
Vitali needs to take this fight very serious but he has always been a very professional and prepared fighter because Sam Peter does have power.
The issue is how does Sam utilize that power vs the taller, bigger, and more than likely stronger Vitali? He may jab better than he used to and his defense may have improved but enough to beat Vitali???? Even a Vitali who is not even taking a tune up fight????
Sure Vitali hasn't fought in a while but when he fought Corrie Sanders THAT was more dangerous than this fight even given the layoff...Sam doesn't have the sharp quick punching power of Corrie Sanders and if Vitali can still take a punch like he used to and more importantly avoid punches like he used to then he's just going to brutalize Sam Peter and the best news is Vitali and Fritz Sdunek can ask Wlad and Manny for any strategic help if they need any....Sam Peter is going to get KO'd
Jugdement day is here, Klitscko By Ko win over Peter
Anyone know what time this fight is on ? I can just see two fat blobs in the ring at the moment and Ive gotta go out at 10
