~ Not Your Typical Music Thread ~
Alright, so we've got the what's your fav. tunes thread...
What are you listening to thread...
Your fav. songs live thread...
Your fav. album thread...
What's your playlist thread...
Currently the What are you listening to thread is "The One"...
But I noticed that not too many people are keen on the music I posted. I like some ACDC, Bowe, RHCP, little bit of Iron Maiden here and there and def. love Metallica. But I've got such a wide range of music I like that I listen to ALMOST just about anything on any given day.
With that being I made this thread so that we (Or I, depending on how popular this thread is ;D) can post some other stuff. I want to start off with some classic tunes.
Let's post some of those classic tunes that will never get old.
When shit feels like it's all going wrong and you think you can't take it anymore... Just listen to this and see if it doesn't change your perspective.

When artist where just that artist... In every since of the word.
When you needed a GREAT voice not a GOOD voice but a GREAT one.

You gotta love Louie, many did Mack the knife but I've often been keen on his version. He just gives it that extra kick...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My9B4uQYJn4
Fucken love this shit here... More often then not T-Bones left out when people speak of great guitarist. But T-Bone was the man long before anyone.

There's something about the way Ray sings this song that just hits a spot with me. It's like Rays in love with this women and just wants the whole world to know how he feels about her.

Can't get more classic than the Beatles. Unless you were looking for stuff pre-dating the 60s. If that's the case, tough shit, I'm posting this anyways. This fucking song gets me choked up and nostalgic every goddamn time.

That's my favorite too.
Classic to me is like the 70's, I had a girlfriend (who was a square) who was in to Sinatra and Tony Bennet and shit which I thougt was weird but then I listened to it and it really was not bad at all especially Tony Bennet.

The emotion in her voice in this one is another thing that gives me chills, I couldn't imagine living in an era like that particulary as a black person.
Re: ~ Not Your Typical Music Thread ~
One of the greatest songs of all time imo

In the wee small hours of the morning is my favourite of the Sinatra Capitol albums. And this footage has a polar bear walking on pink snow which is always a plus point.

Nothing wrong with a little bit of Miles Davis every now and then.

And everybody should have a little bit of Elvis.

Allright this was what I meant to do
I'm not a huge Elvis fan but I've always loved suspicious minds
And I don't listen to Miles Davis that much but I have Kind of Blue and Sketches of Spain, its totally different than what I usually listen but its great music just to relax too, a change of pace. Also like to listen too it when I'm reading.
Re: ~ Not Your Typical Music Thread ~

I love Al Green, he has one of the most soulful voices ever. The words, and emotions of his songs are ones that I think we can all identify with. I know that I have connected with the songs below at some point in my life. ;D
This is one of my all time favorite songs!!!
