"Super Viejo" Kelly... ;D
Que malo eres.
Hopefully they show the Hylon Willams fight I think the kids got potential.
In the words of Emmanuel Steward he's got a great amateur background.

I don't think they'll show him though unless the other bouts are quickies.

Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
All over this one.Was going to throw something up but I'll just ride thsi thread if thats cool Killer.Looking forward to this one as ESPN is not around, whaaaa.
Regardless of a somewhat spotty 36-12 (33) record,David lopez has slowly but surley marched his way into the top ten rankings and is sitting in line for some very attractive match ups. There are very few secrets as to what The Destroyer brings into the ring,Nothing astounding or glaring but all around very solid pressure with good endurance and a fondness for staying ontop of his opponents with a two fisted assault. He is in tonight with Samuel Miller 18-2 (15) who some may remember from his absolute brawl and under the radar FOTY-esq scrap with Darrell woods seen on ESPN.Ultimatley he suffered his first loss via close descision in a see-saw battle to the upset minded Woods and subsequently lost his return fight to Brian Vera as well.Off a tune up win,he comes in looking to right his career but very much has an up hill battle tonight.Should be fun while it last's.
The "return" of Kevin Kelly continues on the card as well.Kelly Imo can find a nice spot as some networks blow by blow announcer but insists on continuing his career which has already passed him by.Best of luck to him but The images of Fellow 90's stars Stevie Johnston and Aaron Norwood getting brutally KO'd earlier in the year sticks in my mind.He is off a pedestrian descision over 10 rounds in his first fight in 2 years.

Yeah I am looking forward to seeing Trout too, I have heard great things about him, but haven't seen him yet.

Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Rodela is a long rangy one, wow.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Kelley's footwork looked great for about a minute, Peligrosa is trying to remove Kevin's head already
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Not good,Kelly catching some leather. His footwork is just memories of what it was, loading up.This could be a toughie depending on this guys stamina. Why is a 41 year old guy standing between round??
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
This could be ugly.Kelly shifting righty/lefty and getting snuck coming in with jab & body work.He really has to look to walk him down with power here.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Kelley is noticabley unable to see some punches coming, I see this ending badly for him.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Man he was buzzed there for a second. That body work is taxing and he is seeing things but unable to put them in.he flicks 8 soft jabs and Rodela comes back with one or two hard clean ones.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
And there goes my stream.

Bingo,he is reduced to bombing .
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Kelly walking in but behind soft shots.looking to bring the last shots with power.Really right in Rodelas chest in the 4th.
Another reason to love Telefutura........The ring card girls :lickish:.

Gotta say though his left hand is landing pretty well.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Kelly spun to the ropes in the 5th and looking suspect there.Spins out and regains ring center....has a little more pep in his shots here, making Rodela work and moving him back.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Yeah,he is lading stronger shots here.Still catching quite a few jabs but finding his own, with visable effect.Ive given him the last two rounds...ohh solid straight right from Rodela.

Rodela looks like he's losing mentally a bit now, you can tell Kelley has all the ring smarts in the world, I just don't think his body can keep up.

Good call.Kelly has always been as sharp as they come.Just tons of amatuer and pro pedigree. He really would make an outstanding trainer, though others may not get a word in edge wise. That man can TALK ;D
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Really shocked at this Kelley is getting better as the fight goes on, I gave his the last 3 rounds.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
He still does that shaking of the gloves ,like a nervous tic.He really has closed the show and landing long hard shots...chasing him now.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
I have kelley up 5-3 rounds, he really turned into the boss in there.
Good sportsmanship there at the end good to see. Whatever the cards say Rodela need to get some more conditioning in, he just got outhustled by a 41 year old.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
;D;D Kelly having a complete and thorough post fight conversation Lol.Good for him but I fear this will culminate is some young gun adding names to a resume taking Kelly out.

Couldn't agree more.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
WOOOOOW,they gave it to the Rodela, can we call this prevenative forsight for Kelly as far as future.Wonder if he'll continue ??
-

Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
This might go two ways....a streaking Lopez comes out and walks right through Miller.Or they meet ring center and exchange bombs ;D.I think Miller would be wise to box.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Ok,bombs it is :fight:.Miller throwing some hard shots, timing Lopez.Don't blink
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Miller has that machismo flowing, winked at Lopez and talks to him after round.

Can't see this going rounds, both guys looking to impress, Miller needs to learn how to back out.

Right, man Im surprised at Millers size next to Lopez. He is selling out for that power BIG TIME.Lopez boxing more.

Last 45 seconds there were pretty good.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Lopez over reaching at times,Miller just waiting on huge counter shots.Activity should win it for Lopez but Miller has legit power...lopez very conscious. Miller getting cocky, talking.
Wow,I love round # 4;D
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Lopez's accuracy starting to show outclassing Miller.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Round 4 getting heated.Lopez touches Miller 6-1 and is shifting around.Millers left eye getting welted.I like Lopez but he would do well to stay clear of Pavlik as it was mentioned.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Lopez really putting it on in the 5th.Miller has little in the way of answers now.Lopez mixes attack well,body/head.Miller getting warned alot for hitting behind the head.Miller talking more at the end of round with hand gestures than actual landed shots.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Miller better get moving or he's done.
-
Re: Esta Noche: David Lopez contra Samuel Miller
Miller working off jab more to start 6th.More movement.Lopez lands arcing hooks and lands borderline lowblow....warned.Nice right from Miller .Miller warned yet again, this time for pulling head down.Im smelling point deduction.
