A fight between either David and Wlad or David and Vitali would surely pump some life back into the heavyweight division.
lets b honest, this division rite now is the most exciting its been for a few years..
Wow. I did not realise that Haye was right in his face. Klit kept his cool though. If he does the same thing in the ring then this will be a great fight. If he rushes Haye wanting to kill him then I see it being quick. Will wait for Haye to fight Barrett before I pass judgement on who I think will win but can not wait.
I like hayes, but he needs to keep his cool and fight b grade fighters and maybe 1 or 2 'a' graders before he moves up to A+. I don't know what hayes thinks he will do to wlad?
I personally feel the klitschkos are the best of this new era. they are true hall of famers and hayes shoud take that into account before running his mouth.
Haye should (and needs to) fight Alexander Povetkin who at 6'6 ish and the same upright Eastern Block style as Wlad would surely be the perfect tune up.;)
Haye would be a fool to himself if he thinks he can just jump up to Wlad after Barret, maybe it'll turn out he just sparks Wlad cold but he should go in armed to the teeth and get as much experience of fighting bigger, robotic Heavies as he can pre Wlad!
What's the rush he's only 27 and i told him this the other week!
Get it on!! I'm really excited for this fight!! I'm a Haye fan but also like the older Klitscho! Don't like Wlad though, would love to see a vendetta match Haye v Vitali after Haye knocks out his kid brother!!
I think Wlad (or Vitali) would do nasty, nasty things to Mr haye.
I See Haye possibly beating Wlad as he's pretty chinny and very slow,if he could get at him early then i think he could rip the belt from him.;)
WHY WOULD HAYE WANT TO FIGHT SOMEONE WHO LACKS POWER IN A TUNE UP FOR WLAD THOUGH?
I take it you dismiss him as having no chance at all?
Which would be foolish in my mind as Haye can bang and at Heavy he looked a fierce puncher and Wlad is a little chinny is he not?;D
Gotta love the way Hayes going about this though, if and when they finally do get it on the hype and the hatred between the two rivals will be immense and will sell alot of tickets and generate loads of publicity, thats all Hayes doing it for in my eyes i dont think Haye himself would wanna fight wlad after 1 fight its just not good buisness sense let it bre some more first and get a few good k.os under his belt and grow into a heavyweight body. Gotta love ye work though Mr Haye.;D
Well Haye would want to fight someone with similar power to Wlad and then also similar stature....if he fought someone the same height and same power as Wlad then he'd be fighting WLAD....or Vitali, either one at this time would murder Haye.
David Haye is fighting Monte Barrett, who is coming off a big loss to Cliff Couser and a big win vs ;D Tye Fields....it's not like Haye is nipping at Wlad's heels already.
After seeing what all the hype got Audley Harrison HELL YES I give David Haye no fucking chance right now.
The only problem is that the contenders and guys that are supposed to be the better heavyweights aren't consistent and neither are the up and coming fighters.
It's a very competitive division though....I just wish it had the depth of 147
I think Haye should go for the big fights now including Wlad.
To be a great fighter you have to take a few risks and thats what Haye is doing.
When Casius Clay fought Liston his managers did not want to take the fight because they thought that he was not ready for it but look what happened.
With Vitali's win on Saturday and Haye looking for big fights the division might have turned the corner and stopped the rot.Lets hope so..
To some extent I agree with you becauce I figure Haye will step up in class and get beat and then never be the same. However if he just jumps in with Wladimir never having been punched by a big time power puncher at heavyweight then he could just not know any better and gun for the KO and get it......once Haye gets rocked at heavyweight he's going to get gunshy and he'll look a lot like Sam Peter did vs Vitali, not moving enough, afraid to throw punches, etc
I agree Skel but I wish Haye would be an accomplished fighter beforehand so they could actually get some credit for beating someone
