[ Hasegawa vs. Valdez & Larios vs. Aoh ]
Hoping to see Hasegawa step up the competion now after this fight.
A top name, I know it's not all up to him but hopefully one of the top names steps up for the challenge.

Hoping that Larios is not seriously hurt in this fight. Although Aoh is not a power hitter any one punch landed can possibly hurt him.
Larios to make it out safe is what I'm predicting. I don't care about the win-loss... Honestly.

Larios should be watched very carefully and frankly should not be fighting due to recent damage. At this stage,his courage and instinct overlap his ability and he is gambling fight by fight.

Larios is suspended in the US after suffering subdural hematoma after the Linares fight.

Man thats sad to hear i was never a fan of Oscar Larios, but i liked his style and courage especially in the 2nd fight with Israel Vasquez. I think its a black eye for boxing for Oscar Larios to be allowed to fight IMO.

Exact Mick.Linares mashed him up.I really like Larios,honest style and leaves it all in the ring but even his return fights have been bumpy from what Ive seen.What Irony,Linares sidelined on injury and effectivly stripped with Larios being placed as Champion ??

I've put a question mark over Linares.
I just don't know how all of this will play out.
It's going to be a full year of inactivity for him.

Hasegawa should box his way cleverly to a wide decision.
I'd like to see Hasegawa in with Moreno. Hell I'd like to see any of the top guys at 118 fighting! Agbeko out with maleria, Mabuza & Penalosa inactive, Mares & Roberto Vasquez out with an injury.
I think Aoh can do the same, but I agree with you all that Larios shouldn't be fighting!

Wasn't impressed with Aoh in his last outing with Enoki...
Enoki had a bad showing that night and just couldn't let his hands go...
Aoh for the most part cruised by and did not engage.
When the Chris John-Enoki fight was announced a while back I picked Enoki as I think his time is now and he will get the upset. They fight next week.

Aoh is a huge question mark skill wise, he occasionally throws brilliant combinations with speed and power, but when it turns into an inside fight he rolls around with soft punches, I think the skills are there, but the common sense is not. You are definately right about him getting lazy and it definately could cost him against Larios, but Aoh has those random power shots that are dangerous, of course he is not exactly hard to drop either. Anyone find out who's streaming this yet?

Surely Larios can't be in that bad a way considering he's won three since Linares :-\
On paper he wins this fight easy. He has an unbeaten record in Japan too (bear in mind ive never seen Aoh fight) ;)

Aoh is kinda lazy, but he's got a spoiler style, his power comes and goes and he's a southpaw. I guess you could say he fights ugly, I fully expect him to blatantly push Oscar's head down and try to get away with some low blows.

I've seen 2 out of 3 fights and he's looked OK...
Shakey at times but he's managed to win.
I'm thinking Larios knows this is it for him and if he loses retirement is next so I think he can pull out the win.

Larios continued boxing like Marco Antonio Barrera... Barrera has a brain surgery before but continued boxing... It's quite a delicate situation but Barrera boxed with it through the years... Same with Edwin Valero...

I think Aoh wins, but I may be a little bias as I got Aoh in my stable & stand to lose $3,000 if he is defeated!

I think the stoppage was a little premature, but definately not the worst stoppage I've seen. Valdez got knocked down clean, and looked a little shaky when he got up, and then got staggered again.
