Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
At least not until both Klitschko brothers retire. Now that Vitali beat Peter, the only think that let Haye stand a chance against Wladimir, his weak chin, is gone against Vitali. No way does Haye have the power to KO Vitali who stood up to the power of Lennox Lewis. Haye stands no chance whatsoever in beating both brothers. He hardly had a chance against Wladimir, not Vitali is 10x better than Wladimir becuase he doesn't have to worry so much about being knocked out so he can throw more punches, he is more relaxed in there, and he puts a lot more combinations together.

Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
Haye is a very hard puncher and at heavy he might be way more powerful. You can't say Haye has no chance of knocking Vitali out because Haye could knock out any man if he lands right, surely?
Haye has the speed to catch anyone clean, Vitali uses his height and reach to full effect though so I would say Vitali can beat him.
Wlad though, Haye can beat him, all he has to do is land once and I think his speed will get him there.

Could Tyson knock out every man he hit? What about Foreman? Then why didn't they?
The same thing you said in regards to Hayes power could have been said for Lennox who
couldn't knock out Vitali. You are giving Haye far too much credit for landing big punches at cruiser weight.
Vitali his been hit by real legit heavies and he's never been down. I'd put my money on vitali's chin vs hayes hey maker any day. At least his chin has been proven at heavy, hayes power hasn't.
Vitali and Wlad have both put down and knocked out men who previous had never been down or out before, true heavyweights. Haye has been down at cruiser by cruisers. I wonder what a real heavyweight power punch will do to his fragile chin.
Here's the part where I bring up Carl Thompson. I love how people always say " Haye was young, he's learned " This is true. But has his chin learned? When I mention carl thompson I don't think about the mistakes haye made, i think about the punch haye took, but didn't take. Get it?
He may have matured as a fighter since then, but his chin is still the same.

Your logic is flawed like this other person has said, Why are you assuming that Haye can hit so hard? Lennox was one of the strongest, and most athletic heavyweights to ever fight, along with being 6'5 240 pounds. I have never seen anyone hit another person as hard as he hit Rahman, yet he couldn't KO Tua or Mercer or Holyfield or Vitali. Tua couldn't KO Ibeabuchi and vice virsa even though they both landed hundreds of hellacious punches on eachother.

Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
Pele Reid ko'd Vitali. Fact.
-
Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
Haye is one of the most skilled boxers boxing today he also has tremendous speed and power.
Haye has a chance against anyone.

Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
Heavyweights do not have magically strong chins just because they are heavyweights. A puch that can KO a Cruiser is just as capable of doing the same to a heavyweight. The only difference lies in the fact that to deliver the punch, you have to reach further and higher, that may be the difference.
Haye will not unify. He may get past one or the other, but the odds on him beating the Wlad and Vitali back to back are slim.
After the Barrett fight we will get an idea of how he may fair. Considering how poor Peter looked, he may actually be the only person that can beat either, but that as of yet is unsubstantiated. The fact remains, the heavies are screwed because nobody else will trouble the Klitschkos and they will never fight each other.

The Barrett fight will tell us nothing unless Haye loses and I doubt Haye will lose. Barrett in his prime would have been a decent gauge, but we are talking about a guy who got KO'd by Cliff Couser. He's 37 years old and hasn't had a meaningful win since Owen Beck in 05. He's also not particularly big for the modern HW division. Kevin Johnson (or Sultan, or Sergei, or even Golata) would have been a much better test and a more interesting matchup.

We havent seen Haye fight at HW enough to judge either how hard a 1 shot hitter he is or how fast he is , or how good his chin will be,
so as ive said many times WHY THE FUCK DONT YOU WAIT AND SEE HIM IN ACTION THEN JUDGE HIM.

Haye's jab, power and speed looked absolute dynamite against Bonin. Maybe he will fail up in class but on the evidence of that one round you couldn't totally bet against the guy.
And if we all waited to see what happened before waffling about fights this place wouldn't be much fun, would it? ;)

Bonin is not Vitali ,
No.. and Vitali would very likely beat Haye. But Haye looked very impressive against Bonin. Which gave a decent indication that he could do something against OTHER heavyweights. ;)

Im stating facts. Haye will be faster than anyone at the weight as skilled if not more skilled he also has the punch.
The post you should be hammering is the original.
Shizz?

That was in a different sport i believe. so explain the relevance ?
Kimbo Slice won loads of back yard slug fests but got KOED in a MMA fight .
Both are bullshit points of view.

It was kickboxing. But Pele SPARKED OUT Vitali. Fact. If Pele can why can't someone else?
That is the relevance ;D

Because no one else is allowed to kick him in the head
No one has ever knocked out Vitali with a punch, Haye on the other hand can be put down with a strong fart

Haye hasn't even fought a heavyweight fight that meant anything and we're already saying he will give Wlad a run for his money much less Vitali....and right after Haye gets walloped by some heavyweight (I doubt he makes it unscathed through the division) people will be looking to a new English hope Tyson Fury....yeah he's way better than Williams, Audley, or Haye!!!!
David "The Great English Hype" Haye

NO.. that's not a fact. Fact. Haye was stopped on his feet still throwing punches. Fact.
Haye is NOT just hype. He was a TOP amateur, then as a pro became undisputed cruiserweight champion. He is now trying his hand in the heavyweight division.
Ive seen ONE person - on this site - say he'd beat Vitali. And a small-ish group that think he'd KO Wlad.
You're deluding yourself by getting caught in your own neurotic hyperbole ;)
-
Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
I remember another undisputed Cruiser Champ who moved up to heavy and had the same doubts cast on his ability tocope as a small heavy against the giansts... Evander Holyfield. Speed kills... Dark Lord Al has a point... we are all guessing until Haye gets in with a legitimate Heavweight contender.
This concept of an iron chin amuses me... if any fighter lands a perfectly timed timed a shot on a fighter around the same weight then it's going to have an effect... It's the defence that makes the difference. Partially blocking the shot or moving your head/body to take the sting out of it makes the most difference. Very few fighters are blessed with an iron chin.
I hope Haye does make an impact at heavy because at the moment the heavweights are about as exciting as a game of dominoes in my local...

How do you know Haye don't hit harder that Lennox at heavyweight??

Re: Sorry Haye: you will not unify in the years to come.
Here's the story about Vitali being KO'd. Sounds like he wasn't down and out or anything, just knocked down. Unless this passage is referring to him being completely out, but I'm pretty sure it's saying he was just knocked down and would've beat the count had there been one.
"The Ukrainian went down, and had it been regular Boxing or Kickboxing rules, there was no way there would have been any kind of ten-count. As it was, being a light-contact match, the ref just waved the fight off and Reid was the new European Champion."

Holyfield had/has ant ATG chin. That is his big advantage and difference over Haye.

Holyfield also worked his way up to a title shot.

Haye is 22 fights 21 wins 20 KO's we don't know if he hits harder than Lennox at heavyweight yet because he hasn't had a meaningful fight at the weight but just cos he won't be as heavy as Lennox doesn't mean he won't hit as hard or harder. Valuev is 7ft 2 inch and 23-24 stone (322lbs-336lbs) but he doesn't hit hard at all really so the fact he is not as heavy or as big doesn't mean he doesn't hit as hard or harder.
