~ Not Another Hopkins-pavlik Thread ~
I just counted 22 threads in relation to Hopkins-Pavlik :puke:
Holy FUCK!!! how many more threads can possibly go up about the fight?
Anyway...
I thought I'd put this up to talk about other fights that happened this weekend.
I thought the Rubio-Ornelas was a damn! good fight. Both guys coming forward throwing lot's of punches. I thought Ornelas was wining convincingly but as I've said before he stops moving. Hes got more skills then what he tends to show. Especially late in fights he tends to forget about his defense. He's a much better fighter then Rubio but credit to Rubio for making Ornelas fight and trade. There were rounds like the 7 & 8 rounds where Ornelas won them convincingly with ease.
Luevanos such a damn! good fighter the kids def. the most improved fighter I've seen in the past years. I'm thinking quickly here and I can't think of another fighter whos improved this much and has maintained himself at the top like this. 4 title defenses in 2 yrs. is great for him he's really come out of his shell. Like I said in another thread whoever thought Dib was ready for a title fight is blind. There is no way he's wining a fight, fighting the way he fights. One punch at a time and moving more then anything. I think I gave him 1 round out of pitty...
Would like to see Luevano move up in weight and give the Super Feather division a go. He's only 27 and still has time to do big things there.
I think he's got a damn! good shot at picking up a title there.

Re: ~ Not Another Hopkins-pavlik Thread ~
Ornelus/Rubio had some pretty gritty action.Ornelus moved Rubio when he landed. That score of 116-112 was utter crap.I thought that there were previous talks about Pavlik fighting Rubio or David Lopez?Might just come off now.Luevano looked solid considering the farce he was in there with,Better than Santiago fight in which Imo,he was hit a bit much.Jump up is resonable......what about the mentions of Luevano vs. Juarez??Dib hopefully will fade into obscurity
Gotta say Mick,Grey beard looked damn good huh ;D

Re: ~ Not Another Hopkins-pavlik Thread ~
Luevano fought out of his style vs. Santiago and he himself knew that...
Credit to Luevano for trying to match Santiago punch for punch but clearly that's not his game.
I liked how Luevano said he'd fight Dib like Marco fought Naseem. Which he did, he waited for Dib to come in and would counter him and catch him at odd angles.
I think Luevano vs. Juarez would be very similar to how JMM beat Juarez.
Luevanos got accuracy and he's got the hand speed to give Juarez lot's of problems.

Who is left a super feather now? Are Valero and Soto both still there? Because either of them would kill Luevano imo

Valeros scheduled to make the move to Lightweight for his next fight but nothings in concrete.
Sotos still at Super Feather.
I think Luevano can beat Baloyi whos the IBF holder.
He can give Cookie another go this time at Super Feather... ;D

Im sure if you PM Saddo just before the fight he would clean out the guests, i think someone needs to aswell because i will be doing RBR for the fight, and it will be almost impossible to do with all the Manny Pacquiao guests coming out of the woodwork.

It's def. worth the watch because both guys just threw out the defense at the end just traded shot for shot.
I would def. watch it...

Re: ~ Not Another Hopkins-pavlik Thread ~
for entertainment reasons i would like Luevano to fight Mario Santiago again as i could have seen the bout gone either way. but not so much for importance. also i think Luevano is a much better fighter than Santiago but hey, there is always someone out there that has your ticket. and i have to agree, the Rubio-Ornelas fight was pretty good. possibly the best fight that night

I'd say no. Not at the pace at which he fought on Saturday. He looked slow as an iron toad in there and took plenty of shots to the gourd himself.
