He has to be ranked as p4p one of the hardest punchers ever surely.
He trains
I know his 2 sons are meant to be doing well as boxers.
He's a trainer? great cheers guys, i hoped he stay in the sport but he was a bit of a preacher man wasn't he, praying in the ring before disposing of his foe. That Herol Graham knockout will live with me forever.
Getting hit by Jackson was like eating a grenade kebab:tombstone:
hehe;D I think Herol Graham and Terry Norris will agree with that.
Hardest p4p puncher with either hand. He was blind as a bat and very religious. Amen.
Blind that's right, he wore big jam jar glasses out of the ring didn't he:cool:, failed the eye test that's why he had to fight Graham in Spain. Great fighter though.
He's also very active in the boxing community going to banquets and events.
Like TM said, he's putting a nice little team of ams together.
He has my vote for P4P hardest puncher. I don't think there is anyone in boxing history P4P who could match the two fisted bombs that Jackson could drop. I think 49 KOs in 55 wins is a testament to that.
He was the essence of what a bomber is. As clean a KO artist as you will ever see. Some of his youtube fights are on the "cleanest right hand fight" thread. Unreal.
Thats crap Donny and you know it, and how have i contradicted myself ? have you seen some of the fighters that get into Olympics ? did you see that fat Turkish guy i think it was in the Heavyweight division ? he looked like some guy pulled out of the crowd he had no boxing skill what so ever.
So i suppose just because he was in the Olympics he was special ? or Audley Harrison is special because he won an Olympic Gold ? not at all. Jackson's kid was a slow plodding fighter, that never went to the body had no real boxing skills. And was totally outboxed by the Korean boxer, nothing at all about him was special.
Just because my dream is to go to the Olympics, doesn't mean even if i make it im special. Nor am i saying that anyone who does make it to the Olympics isn't special, but the Olympics this year IMO was pretty poor i never see one boxer who really stood out.
He was winning the fight against McClellan until the head butt around round 3 or 4.
The Olympics comprises of the best amateurs.
In order to gain qualification you must perform in one of several high quality tournaments. Bad amateurs do not make the olympics.
The fact that the majority of the world am champs were beaten in provisional stages should demonstrate the quality within the olympic tournament.
Because a boxer looks poor does not mena he is bad, it means the other was better.
You haven't got 5 fights, so you're hardly qualified to judge.
What do you mean im not qualified to judge ? and what does it matter how many fights i've had ? all you have to do is open your eyes, and watch how they fight to see if there any good isn't that obvious ?
Secondly so your saying every single boxer in the Olympic's, are special fighters with *above average* talent ? Donny did you see some of the bums they had in the Heavyweight division ? they had fighters who looked like they were tough man contest fighters not boxers.
And did you watch some of the Korean and European fighters ? they were rubbish. End of not because the other fighter was better, its because they wern't good fighters. I seriously disagree with you on this, im not saying the Olympics isn't special tournament. Hell thats my dream to go to the Olympics.
But sometimes i wonder to myself how do atleast 20 percent of these boxers, even make it to the Olympics ?
I mean your not qualified to judge.
Every fighter there is better than you or I, they made it there, neither of us did. Those Korean and European fighters you denigrated are of a higher quality than you or I.
If the heavyweights seemed poor it was as result of weakness in the sport as those men too fought their way and qualified for the Olympics.
For every man that participated, there is 1,000 that wishes they could, but they didn't make the grade.
Uhh so your telling me that fat Turkish Heavyweight, who looked like he was pulled out of the crowd. Who couldn't even fight or throw a punch properly is a higher quality than me and you ? please Donny don't make me laugh
Not every fighter there is special i don't know why you keep thinking that, i've seen some useless boxers in the Olympics. That can't even throw a punch properly the Turkish Heavyweight, who i mentioned earlier is a good example.
Some boxers who never make it to the Olympics have much more talent than quite alot of them that do make it. Gerald McClellan, Aaron Pryor, who never made it too the Olympics had more talent than 90 percent of all the boxers that have ever fought at the Olympics.
Look at all of my post i just edited it and secondly he is a Heavyweight, of course he would KO me im only 163 pounds you dumbbell. I don't know what it is with you lately Donny, its like you keep trying to pick me up on anything i post. Like on the punchstats topic one of the last subjects we debated on, then the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight now this again.
Look everyone ICB and Donny are fighting. FIGHT. FIGHT. FIGHT.;D
Ever see his fight with Thomas Tate? One of the few, very few guys that took Jacksons biggest flush shots for an entire 12 rounds and walked forward.Had Jackson out on his feet in the 6th round and gave him a severe 12 round battle.
The only fighter I have ever seen that could KO Trinidad in a slug match, could you imagine the fight those two would put on
