What is Jermain Taylor doing?

So I live in Houston and Dominick Guinn is fighting here tomorrow. Well he's having an afterparty somewhere and guess who is a special guest at his party? None other than, Jermain Taylor. He's on the flyer for the afterparty. I've posted it below. This is absolutely ridiculous. He's fighting Jeff Lacy, who's only loss came against Joe Calzaghe, at 168, and he's down here in Houston partying only three weeks before the fight? What is Jermain Taylor doing? This fight could revitalize his career and get him some bigger money fights at 168, including a Roy Jones fight, a Calzaghe fight, and maybe even a Hopkins III fight. And he's down here in Houston partying? This guy is an idiot. I'd always heard that he wasn't that dedicated to training but this is just plain disrespect for talent that God gave him. You'd think that he'd be in camp for a full month with a crossroads fight like this.

I don't know, where is his training camp? Is it near there? If he's just coming in for a night and not really partying that much, as in not drinking or something then it might be all right.

If he's thinking I don't have to worry that much about making 168 and lacy's looked like crap lately then he might be in trouble.

Also what is Dominick Guinn doing throwing an after fight party? Is he actually planning on winning?

Granted I don't even know who he's fighting.

Boxing and Clubbing DO NOT go hand in hand.

Taylor can party every night. It won't change the outcome. He smashes Lacy.

Im sure it wont be anything to worry about. If he's going out and getting trolleyed every night then that could be cause for concern. I doubt its the case though. Hatton's even had time to be on that silly tv show of his each week. Training hard in the day and then unwinding at night is par for the course.

1 NIGHT, in weeks of preparation? If you can't take one night off you are doing something wrong in your training regime. Especially when you are fighting Lacy.

I think he will, guys who come forward always give Taylor a hard time.

Jeff Lacy is an unknown quantity at the minute, if its the guy who faught Reid and Sheika then Taylor is in severe danger. If it's the guy who faught Tsypko and Manfredo then he's dead meat. I think he's done to be honest but if he has bounced back from the utter destruction he received by Calzaghe (1001 punches!!!) then Taylor could be in serious trouble cos Lacy was the biggest 168lber I ever saw back in the day, whether it was the guys he was fighting or it was just him, he had power like just about nothing I've seen in the last 8 years as a boxing fan, literally the hardest puncher I have ever seen.

Maybe Guinn put Jermain's name on there just because that's the only way people would actually come to his party.

Doesn't mean Jermain will actually be there.

Taylor's been training in Miami since the end of September. Even if he shows up in Houston for a night, I'm sure it's just an appearance for a friend (Guinn), and he'll take care of himself. He's been sparring 10 round sessions and is moving to 12 rounders this week.

No doubt he's taking this seriously and will be ready on fight night.
