Those were people discussed the last time they did this type of column.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
through the last decade id have to say....
Lennox Lewis
Roy Jones Jnr
Bernard Hopkins
Joe Calzaghe
Floyd Mayweather
Marco Antonio Barerra
Erik Morales
Manny Pacquiao
all have proved themselves HOFers that`ll be remembered for years to come.
The likes of holyfield, de-la hoya, tyson, Mosley etc will always have question marks over their status`s as true ring greats unlike the mentioned above!

Holyfield has a question mark!? Undisputed Cruiserweight champion and the only 4-time-Heavyweight-champion-of-the-world?
Sure, he went on too long and ended up embarressing himself but so did Sugar Ray Robinson and Roberto Duran
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
There is no question mark over tyson for the simple reason "youngest champ ever" if that bis not enough what is
Holyfiel 4 time world champion that is easily enough
Look at some of the people in the hall tyson and holyfield are guaranteed
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
It looks like this is as much of a popularity contest, or a making an splash thing, than it is a p4p ability/achievement thing.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
i think hattons a sure shoot ;)

I'd move Hatton & Casa to probable.
I'd move JMM to sure shot.

This one cracks me up. Did they really need to tell us that John Duddy has no shot at the HOF?
LMAO.

I agree then again it's hattonthehammer which I wouldn't have replied to in the 1st place.

Hmmm, i agree with tyson, holyfield and de la hoya without a doubt, but not sure mosely should be a first ballot hall of famer.
Mosley is/was a great fighter, dont put him on the level of holyfield, tyson and de la hoya though. Just my opinion.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
I find it odd that Taylor would have no chance while Kessler is considered a
"maybe". Taylor's beaten Hopkins twice and drawn with Wright. Kessler has beaten Mundine and lost to Calzaghe. Am I missing something?
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
how is authur abraham a maybe and taylor is no chance ? abraham has fought nobody. atleast taylor beat bhop twice even though they were close fight and couldve gone either way. but thats way more than what abraham has done thats kinda stupid REALLY.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
Alright how on gods green earth does Evander Holyfeild have a question mark the man has been unifed CW champion and best to ever to touch that weight no one can touch him there i mean no one. He has been the heavyweight champion more times then anyone has anyone even Ali. His resume is up with the likes of Ali, Foreman and Lewis and he has fought any fighter worth something in the last 20 years and he gets a question mark you know what fuck you hattonhammer dumbess thing i heard ever.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
Alright then you say that Shane Mosley has a question mark now that is something i have to say. the man look like a god at LW and was champion LW, WW, and SMW and beat the golden boy when he was on top and Shane Mosley moved up fomr LW to WW not to mention at one point he was consider to be the best and pound for pound number one as well.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
Last thing i am going to say to you which i dont even know why is how does Oscar Dela Hoya have a question mark on his head. He has fought everyone worth anything as far as i can see it and i mean everyone. He has been champion in SFW, LW, LWW, WW, LMW and MW you know how many have done that i can think of one Tommey Hearns only he was in higher weights but thats the only guy i can come up with. Even with his loses he has beat 20 guys that have been champion or who were former champions and that is somthing not many can brag about. Not mention he was on top of the pound for pound rating for a while and yea at one point was the best pound for pound fighter in the world but a question mark eh.
Re: Hall of Fame Fighters
This may be a silly question but do you get into the hall of fame for pure fighting ability or as it states fame? If its the latter then Ricky Hatton defo should be in cos of the amount of fans he brings to the table. Look how many Brits went to Las Vegas just to watch it in a bar never mind to go to the fight itself.

I also think Taylor has accomplished much more than Kessler. Undisputed Middleweight Champion and two wins against Hopkins who is a walking, living lengend.

I think the reason they have Taylor as a no and Kessler a maybe is because Kessler "could" achieve great things in the future whilst Taylor's career is pretty much done.

taylor isnt done, why cause he lost to pavlik he can still have some good fights at SMW and he can beat them also.
