Pretty funny, Kickett has been hailed as the second coming of Christ in the paper over here. I watched him fight on the undercard od Danny Green/Stipe Drews and was decidedly unimpressed...

Looks like kickett was going well and got caught, rematch will be different i reckon.
Sorry for the delay. It was taking so long to convert the vid so i went to bed. I'm currently uploading the fight to youtube and megaupload. I'll post here when they are ready.
hope they fight again soon. But if I was Elomar I'd try to avoid Kickett for as long as possible because Kickett is a much better boxer and I dont think he will make the same mistake twice.
I'd imagine they will fight again soon. There will be a lot of interest in a rematch so i reckon they will fight sooner rather than later.
Well there goes the potential match up for a huge Kickett/ Zappa fight for the time being!
yeah i think that was being mentioned a bit in Zappas last fight. If Willy can win a rematch that will still be on the cards though.

It sure was and his only real punch in the round. I don't actually know what happened but i think it probably was some in the crowd reacting to Elomars victory. There has been racial tension between the Lebanese community and "Aussies" and culminated in the cronulla riots a few years ago. It's just a guess not informed comment so dont roast me over it. Probably drunken slobs no doubt though and not something you see often thankfully. Most australian fight crowds are ok.
One good thing to see was both trainers running over to the felled fighter Kickett. Elomars trainer - Billy Hussein i think was even there first to check on Willy so that was good to see.
That wasnt a lucky shot, it was planned. Kickett fucked up, he got caught by a good shot. I hate elomar with a passion, but he deserved that win. The reason the riot would of happened is coz one of the elomars was arrested for being a terrorist suspect.
Yeah that's right. My brother was telling me about them last night. He hates them too, he live in the same area and knows a bit about them. Looks like from the vid some of the Elomar entourage jumped into the crowd.

Really disappointing. No question, Kickett was dominating that fight and I actually said I was disappointed because I though Elomar would do better.
I'd just finished saying that when the punch landed.
A shame that Elomar was not able to truly appreciate his win, or that we didn't get to see some different angles on the punch. I just hope this doesn't get Big Time Boxing pulled from pay tv because the 'ban boxing' zealots are going to be all over this.

No one killed from memory but we were going to have a show here (SA) not long afterwards and the police closed it down.

That's right it was kickboxing wasn't it. I went to a kickboxing event here in Newcastle some years back when Adam Watt returned to kickboxing from his boxing career. It was a good night but at the end there was a huge brawl between the crowd and the french opponents entourage. Thankfully nowhere near us. Got to meet Adam Watt as he sat in the crowd after the fight signing autographs etc. I was a bit pissed and i dont think he understood a word i'd said but looked at me quizzically and signed my ticket anyway.
