Seriousley, the way Calzaghe was leaving hismelf so open last night. Getting knocked down again by a punch that never even conncted flush. I think his resistance is gone totally.
Somebody fresh with power, determination and speed will beat Calzaghe.
Carl Froch is his name.

He was only leaving himself open to make Jones throw more, Froch is a good fighter and I'd like to see a big domestic bout between the two. If Froch beats Pascal in good fashion I think he deserves a shot at Joe 100%Quote:

Froch will do well to beat Pascal let alone Calzaghe.
Froch is to slow to trouble Calzaghe. He can punch yes. But that's all he'd bring a punchers chance. Which is not enough.
Still.. i'd prefer this fight to Dawson should Froch beat Pascal and Calzaghe carrys on.

He's fast and athletic but looks a bit fragile.
Definitely don't see Froch beating Calzaghe, would be surprised if he fought him.
Well I think Calzaghe outclasses Froch in every area.
That said Calzaghe does drop his hands and has been caught in his last two fights.
Kessler caught him with a cracking uppercut as well.
Froch can really really bang and he definitely has the power to knock Joe out.
It would be a dangerous fight for Joe, I'd say 4 times out of 5 Calzaghe would out speed and out slick Froch.
But Froch COULD land and end the fight, although I'd give that punchers chance to many other big punching fighters as well.
But Froch has that wild crazy, hands down style as well and tries to rely on luring opponents in and catching them with those sick uppercuts.
Many a fighter has fallen victim to that and Calzaghe could in theory get caught coming in.
I'd actually love to see the fight, big fan of both fighters.
I know it's a bit off topic, but can I ask you why you rate Pascal? I've seen several of his ESPN fights, and he doesn't impress me much as all. He's flashy and it looks good against tomato cans, but I don't think it will look near as impressive against better competition. Pascal is quick, has moderate power, but his defense strikes me as poor and I have no faith in his chin; I think Froch should make relatively easy work out of him.Quote:

Nothing wrong with his resistance, he has genuine powers of recovery and is very hard to hurt after he's warmed up. I think his resistance improved at 175 compared to the Kessler fight where he had to think twice after the 4th round, the uppercut in the 6th asgainst Roy was harder than anything Kess landed. He should def stay at 168 if he continues.
Calzaghe would destroy Froch, I'm a huge Carl Froch fan but man he would annihilate him.
Well i don't believe it Yotisdan has made an appearance, i haven't seen you since the Hatton vs Mayweather fight.

I use to watch some calzaghe fights when he was younger he record shoudlnt even have a "0" init welsh ref welsh judges and 90% of his fights in wales is a reason why he won when he sould of lost.

Calzaghe's punch resistance going? Yes he can be decked and yes he can be hurt but he STILL recovers in the blink of an eye. If his punch resistance was going he would have been in trouble with some of the other diggs he took from Jones.

Im no boxing expert, but when it comes to looking for the man who is most likely to defeat super Joe I thought differently. My pick is Chad Dawson, im not overly confident in this prediction because beating Joe Calzaghe is not easy as has been proven recently. My theory behind Dawson being the biggest threat is that he is bigger than Joe, 6 ft 3, he has good boxing skills, and is proven against such veterans as Johnson, Tarver, Adamek, and Harding. Fair enought i thought.

The man to beat Joe C is 31 yr old Carl Froch. It does not seem to matter that he has NEVER beaten a fighter ranked in the top 40 in his division. The fact he has a shocking leaky defense is no problem either.....
