right cross and stance

Something that i have noticed recently is that when i get to narrow in my stance i find that my right cross is sort of more like an over hand right,when i say narrow stance i mean my upper body angled at less than 45% presenting a small target to my opponent but to get my right cross nice and straight i have to kick the right leg out a bit more and become slightly more square about shoulders about 45% so i can get the punch off properly.So my question is does this sound correct as i worry that i may be to big a target or do i need to work on my right cross from a longer stance.Also i hear people talk a lot about inside and outside fighting but is there more to it than that like long range medium range and close range and how would you say the stance should change with each of these or is it possible to remain in the same stance for both?

This is the kind of thing Id prefer you to be directly in the gym for to explain, but your feet angle and hip pivot going are off wrong,your cross should fire from a straightline stance

Another think i have noticed is when my stance feels good its kind of hard to explain but the left hand side of my body kind of feels like a hinge and has a nice solid feel to it like everyting in nicley aligned down that side.Is this correct and what i should be looking for when in my proper stance? Then i only have to sort out the right hand side whether that be going long or more square.Also is 45% a good angle for the upper torso to be angled at in relation to youre opponent without being to narrow and not being top square?

Also does my feet have to be spaced shoulder width apart or more laterally to get the right cross off properly could that be the reason why i find it difficult when i get to narrow if so then how can some fighters manage to fight out of a long narrow stance and get the right hand off without compromising balance?

But here goes,and ask questions if something confuses you.
Even in a straight line stance, your feet should be canted at roughly a 15 degree angle towards your power side,thats why I dont like it being called a "straight line" stance, because its a confusing misnomer, I generally use the martial arts term cat stance
Now when you throw the right cross or hook, the hip and rear foot should pivot in unison, in to the point of power

So in a cat stance would my feet be narrower than shoulder width apart is there any examples of a fighter that i can watch with this type of stance,I have also read you reffering to a horse stance before is this a wider more square on stance?

Knees should be under your shoulders at all time
Horse stance is more of a set stance to achieve cat stance, then a legit fighting stance.
You start in a horse stance, and practice swinging your drive leg back in a half moon,and you'll be right in to cat stance,or a proper straight line stance.
Once balance is achieved,power is an automatic principle, a body out of balance cant achieve the same power levels,as a body on balance. it also has no defense.
As a visual aid Ill have a fighter Ive had for awhile,and have them take their stances,and just whomp them right in the chest,they rarely even budge.

If the back Heel cant see the other guys Chin, youre putting to much pressure on groin and lower Back.

So the back foot has to be kicked far enough out not hidding behind the left foot so as to get a good look at the target which lets it travel down a nice straight line ,but not so far out that you become a square target ,thats why i cant understand how i can throw the right hand properly when in a narrow stance.Does anyone have any links to pictures or clips that can show an example of a good orthodox stance?Its probably much easier to show rather than describe such things..

Notice her feat are canted slightly,from there you should be able to do it getting your rear foot and hip moving to the shot.
You might be trying to arm it to much and not relying on your body hip and shoulder enough

Id like to see the shoulders Level, and not as much on the front foot.
