Not that I care much about Golota, but I know those of us that watched the fight questioned whether or not he was faking, so I thought I would post this.

When heavyweight Andrew Golota decided to pull out of his fight with Ray "The Rainman" Austin after the first round on Nov. 7 in Chengdu, China, some were quick to question his decision. The attached photos of Golota's left arm, taken one week after the fight during a medical examination in Chicago, clearly show the extensive damage caused by multiple tendon tears. After four weeks, Golota will know whether he will need surgery or not. If and when he is able to return to the ring, Golota has options. Austin has offered him a rematch, even in Warsaw. And countryman Tomas Adamek, who fights for the cruiserweight belt next month, has also called him out.

You know I have always liked Andrew. I knew something was up with his arm, never knew it was that serious though. I also questioned his decision to quit due to his history of giving up when things do not go his way, but he had a nice little comeback going on and showed a lot of heart against Mollo with his nasty closed eye.

I've had bruising like that on my elbow before, after a fall on a skateboard.... I couldnt move my arm but it healed up fine with no doctor visit.

Naw if you look closely you can see the bruising from tendon damage, who knows how its going to heal even with surgery. We allways assume that just because they do surgery, its going to heal fine, sometimes thats just not the case.
Hope he's got a damned good surgeon

It was pretty obvious during the fight that his injury was genuine. I have a hard time fathoming how anybody could even envisage that he was faking it. Im not particularly keen on Golota but he does deserve a rematch, no fight deserves to be decided as that was, and so prematurely too.

OK..... Im not an expert of any sort, but can anyone tell me how the HELL an injury likes he suffered(I saw the round, thought it must have been that he pulled or seperated something, maybe tores some muscles or what have you) caused the completely hideous bruising all over his arm. I mean for chirsts sakes it looks like his arm was run over by a truck, there is no possible way he took enough punishment to that arm to cause the bruising as far as I can invision, having badly broken my own snowboarding and having nowhere near that kind of bruising it just baffles me. Not that they are neccesarily comparable injuries, I just would love an explanation as to what on earth causes that.

A brake doesnt allways bruise, multiple tendon snaps on the other hand bruise like crazy

Re: Andrew Golota wasn't faking, he did injure his arm, pics included
Well I can sure understand how painful it must be for him. I didn't tear any tendons, but I once tore my hamstring muscle in two different places at the same time. I have a good pain threshold, but that was sooooooo fuking painful.
I was playing first base, and I had to do the splits, because the guy at 3rd sucked a$$, anyways, even being down in the splits, leaning all the way forward, the ball was still short, and it hit a stone or something and took a bad bounce to the side, so I had to twist while down in the splits to catch it. And that was all she wrote, I got the out, but I just laid there on the ground in absolute pain, I couldn't even move. One of the guys had to pick me up, and carry me to his car and take me to the hospital. I was on crutches for weeks, and the whole back of my thigh was sooooooo gross looking from bruises, and it bled so much, that I had trails of blood going down the back of my calf, into my foot. It was disgusting, and painful as hell.
I wish that I had pics to show you guys, you wouldn't have believe how bad it looked.

Ew. It looks like someone grafted a corpse's arm onto his body.
