Haye "I want Vitali first""
Just seen an interview on Setanta sports where Haye is now saying he wants to fight Vitali instead of Wlad because everyone is saying he should fight Wlad because he would have more chance so he feels he would get more credit for fighting Vitali. He also says he knows already exactly how he will beat him.
Got to admire the man, even though i think its a bad idea and he should take on Wlad first, he has some balls, wants to beat the best and doesnt duck anyone.

Goodbye boxing career :flush:
Haye is going to be damaged physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally...it could ruin his career if it's the very next fight he takes.

My thoughts exactly....There comes a time when having balls and willingness to fight the best and the difference between setting yourself up for disaster are starting to mesh....
Aside form the obvious I really don't think Haye fully uinderstands what he would be getting himself into....Vital has one hell of a mean streak...He would brutalize Haye before finishing him....EG- Sanders/Williams....
I also think Haye is counting a bit too much on his "Hayemaker" for support......
If the fight happens I will credit him for signing but after the destruction I want to hear NO excuses from Haye fans....I don't even want to hear "At least he was willing to fight the best"......It will be just what the man deserves for running his mouth and publicly calling Vitaly out...
As they say..."Be careful what you wish for"

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
This fight will play out just like the Sam Peter fight.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I thought he was gonna fight them back-to-back tag team style...lol. I hope he does pull it off but he won't against Vitali. He may just be doing this to pissoff Wlad, who knows or maybe he is for real and want vitali now while he is free and Wlad has  Hasim Rahman on his plate....

NOw that this is out of the bag. How many of you think he beats Vitali ?

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I'm not a Haye fan, but boxing needs guys like him: People that want to be the best, and are willing to fight the best to achieve that.
I don't see him lasting long against either Klitschko to be perfectly honest though

Wlad and Vitali are willing to fight and beat the best.
The problem with David Haye is he MAY try to fight Vitali too soon and risk his entire career which is stupid. Haye needs 4-6 fights before he's ready for Wlad or Vitali

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
Brave guy if you ask me. He has a chance with Wlad, Vitaly is a bad move unless he just wants a decent payday.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I think he's already been knocked out, he has come back, I give him all the credit in the world for wanting to fight guys that are probably going to break him in to, He may be cocky, but he backs it up, and he isn't willing to put his money where his mouth is. Not exactly in the same fashion as Mayweather, but he has still been very successful.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
Going in with vitali is a stupid stupid move on haye's part, especially now that we know that vitali still has it in him. Barring an infight injury by vitali, haye is getting layed out. I mean vitali's never been down in his pro career and has kof/tkod every man he's ever faced with the exception of two, combine that with haye's not so super solid chin and haye is fucked.

Its an awful shame haye has just commit scucide i was begining to really like him oh well:eek:

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
Its amazing isnt it. fighters get slated for not stepping up and fighting stiffs and here some people are slating one for wanting to fight the best, fucking unbelievable.
I'd rather have one David Haye TRY and beat Vitali, rather than 10 Sam Peter's Danny Williams Kirk Johnsons ect ect who just didnt bother.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
Well said Memphis.
Nobody gives him a hope in hells chance of beating Vitali - so he says I'll fight him. How can that NOT be commended?
And how ironic.. the guys that hate him are so concerned for his welfare
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
With all due respect, I'd Vitali if the money was good enough. :D
I don't think the fight will be as one sided as people think. David Haye, I'm sure, will prove to be a success in the heavyweight division and eventually become a champion - but a fight with Vitali now could be a tad too soon.

Get off it, no one is "slating" him we're just saying it's kind of a large leap of faith to go from KO-ing Monte Barrett (in 5 rounds) to fighting Vitali Klitschko or Wladimir Klitschko. Those guys are at the top of the division, they are seasoned veterans of the heavyweight division, both fighters have KO'd 10 times more heavyweights than Haye has ever fought...hell they have more KO's than Haye has total fights. I'm just saying Haye MAY be reaching a bit to say he wants to fight Vitali next if that is indeed what he's going for.
David Haye needs to get experience is all Evander Holyfield fought 6 fights at heavyweight before he got to a title shot and Evander Holyfield ended up being an ok fighter.
And I don't give Haye much of a chance at beating Wladimir either and not just because I am a fan of Wlad's. I just see Haye wildly swinging, Wlad's height, reach, accuracy, and power it spells danger for Haye.

Evander was an 'ok' fighter? and Wlad and Vitali are what? Wow I'm beginning to think that something is wrong here.

i feel the same way mate... i don't see Haye winning the fight but its refreshing to see a fighter wanting to fight the best ;)

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
What are you talking about no one is slating him maybe people dont want to see his career destroyed and dont want him rushed him into silly fights he is not expierenced enough for.
How is that slating?
It is worse to incourage him to possibly destroy his career which can be a great one for the heavyweight division just to entertain people like you

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I'm sorry of course I would like to see Haye get in there with Vitali or Wlad. I really don't care about his well being I think he will be knocked out in the mid-rounds and I would be happy. Everyone now is saying how much balls he has for calling out these guy's. Granted but remember their are balls and their is stupidity. I hope this fight happens so it ends the Haye-maker express of nobodies. Good enough.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I am not knocking Haye , i think he is everything i like in a fighter , power , speed , attitude , and dodgy chin, i do commend him for wanting to fight the best , and that is refreshing in so many ways, so if Haye does fight either of the Brothers Grim then bravo Mr Haye :appl:
I for one will pay to see it.
-
Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I dont think Haye has much of a chance against Vitali. But if he has the balls to go through with it then fair play to him.
Could be rather drawn out and bloody though, knowing how Vitali likes to dissect his opponents.

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
50-50 fight IMO.
Haye is an icon to youngsters. Fight the best and don't back out.
Great attitude.

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
So what if he loses? He's 28. He can easily comeback if he wants. In two years time he'll STILL have a size disadvantage against the behemoths.
What exciting heavyweight fight is there that doesn't include Haye?

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
Congrats on Haye for seeking an extremly lucrative high profile Championship fight against a top champion in Vitali,he does not lack for confidence and has givin the division a shot in the arm.....Vs. Vitali I think his defence will be exploited like a lone drunken cheerleader in a house full of football players in the A.M. :fight:.

Be careful what you wish for haye. I'd like to see haye in there with vitaly. i think wladimir would be a better fight with haye though.
vitaly and wladimir via ktfo btw.;D

It would be that way too. Haye is smaller, lacks a prominent jab. He just lunges in with those "Hayemakers" TM....Vitali would pick him off something silly. Any big punch and Haye is in nowhere land.

I was being sarcastic buddy....Evander Holyfield is a Hall of Famer and All-Time Great mostly because he was smart and well looked after in his early heavyweight career which is what I think David Haye should do if he's to last long in the division but apparently the David Haye "fans" (I can't see how wanting your fighter to get his ass whipped makes you a fan of theirs) would rather he rush along to the head of the line much like ohhh I don't know JEFF LACY

Re: Haye "I want Vitali first""
I'm not slating him, but I think he's ignoring the fact that the world wants to be rid of Wlad and that should be the first objective.

I agree fully with this. Don't really see how a Vitali fight is more intruiging either, I mean Haye clearly has a better shot at sparking Wlad, and if he was succesful in that fight then a matchup with Vitali would be huge...

Vitali doesn't have that long to wait. I say he's retired again after 4 fights max.

No it wouldn't David Haye is 10x more skillful/faster than slow plodding Samuel Peter. He would put up a much better fight but he will still lose.
