Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
He always starts of well in fights and loses it beyond the sixth round but was impressed by his early showing against Floyd before going nuts and I wanted to see a rematch. I wish the fight would have gone ahead with Mosely as that could have been a defining fight. Does anyone think Judah can win a belt at 140 or 147 again ?

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
Zab Judah won 3 out of the first 4 rounds against Floyd Mayweather, then as soon as Floyd Mayweather adjusted he couldn't deal with it. It was nothing to do with Zab Judah falling apart, it was down to Floyd Mayweather changing his tactics.
I've never seen anyone get as much credit as Zab Judah, for winning 3 rounds out of 12. He was tripled in power punches if i remember rightly. And he took a beating in the later rounds, i have no idea why you would of wanted to have seen a rematch.
As for your other question at 140 he has a chance, at 147 he has no chance.

Judah is a quandry, sometimes he looks lights out, other times he looks like s warmed over.
He might be one of the most confusing boxers out there, because you never know which version your getting

If he changed trainers (got rid of his dad) he could have a chance. The buzz is he is a real jerk, and a pain in the ass the work with.
I don't think any1 other than his dad would deal with him.
We are seeing a vintage Zab now. At 30 yrs old he just doesn't have that snap on his punches and the speed is on it's way out. Good lord he was fast when he was younger tho!
Does he remind any1 else of Meldrick Taylor some? He career was over after chavez (now Cotto) ruined him. Is this history repeating itself?
In short, NO. Maybe at 140 if he can get back down there.

When he was coming up, some said he was Pernell with power.

When nhe was up and coming Zab seemed as though he had endless potential....I like many thought he would be one of the games top stars for a long while....Even after he fell a few times I thought he would pull it together and make a good go at it.....
He has had better then average success but he lacks that mental ability to overcome....IMO much of it has to do with his surrounding camp

Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
the answer is verry simple.
YES!

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
So what is Zab's future? Is he after Hatton? At 140lb he just might land one on the Fat Boy!
-
Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
He has a better chance at 140 than he does at 147 today. I think Judah can take Hatton and catch Hatton jumping in every time. Hatton/Judah would be a great fight, I am sure of it.

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
He didn't look too impressive in his first fight back at 140. If he does get a title shot you just know he'll find a way to lose though.

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
maybe he can win the wbo title from either torres or Holt but Hatton kicks his ass though.

Man.Actually would be interesting fight?.He should forget all about 147.He is starting to become unglued upstairs, acting out. Also he has had some NASTY cuts as of late??

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
Those two cuts he suffered from Johnson in his last fight were real bad, and were done in the same round by headbutts.
A Hatton fight would be interesting.

I think Zab is damaged goods now. He's fallen a lot in the last few years. Doesnt quite have it in him to be a force at the top.

so hatton can get another win on his resume.....ROFL

Re: Can Zab Judah ever become a champ at 140 or 147 again ?
One thing you cannot level at Zab, he has never ducked anybody!
Tszyu, Cotto, Mayweather all future Hall of Famers and boxing greats of the past 10-15 years. Before we close the door on Zab completely apart from Baldimir, he has lost only to the very best out there. Zab is still a name and a fight with Hatton would generate a lot of interest and this forum would go into meltdown over it! I wonder where Hatton goes from here too, does he wait on Pacman? JMM or does he take on Zab? Hatton worries me in any fight with Zab as he walks in with his chin up and that is perfect for Zab's lethal uppercut.

Good call on the JMM/Judah fight, I would love to see that, winner gets Hatton.
