Get in your predicitons for the fight, Im going with Froch by way of early to mid rounds KO. Im really looking forward to this fight and I really do believe we are going to see the best out of Carl in this fight! Hes bringing home the belt for sure ;D

Ha, just messing with ya. Pascal has a little power, but no chin and bad defense. Well they both have the low hands style. Froch will outpower him. Middle rounds stoppage.
Pascal KO 1.
Froch will probably win though.
Froch to win by stoppage probably in the mid to late rounds. Pascal I feel is becoming a bit underrated as of late. He's not as good as he thinks he is but he's not as bad as some are making him out to be. If that makes any sense. His quickness and speed could give Carl some trouble early but in the end I feel Froch's power will be the deciding factor.
When this fight was made everyone (seemed like everyone) was saying Pascal is no good. That Froch would win easy.
Ive now seen Pascal fight. He is CLEARLY the BEST fighter Froch has been matched with so far. Pascal, like Froch, is a Roy Jones wannabe but he looks faster and sharper than Froch.
People saying he has no power.. he lands plenty of hard and sharp enough straight right hands to me.
I think the Canadians/Americans (think it was mainly Canadians) predicting an easy Froch win haven't SEEN big nose fight. :-\
Im a brit......We are due for a loss and Froch will cement my prediction.....Pascal will win when theref stops the fight late on

Froch KO victory and set up a fight with Taylor who will have no excuse to avoid him.
Pascal by UD, but his chin is shaky enough for Carl to have a shot
I went with Froch by points, think Pascal's speed will cause him problems early on but froch will do enough late on possibly scoring a couple of knock downs. Im starting to like Froch, good interview with him in boxing monthly if u haven't already read it Tam

footwork is something that is really underrated by a lot of froch critics, they dont actually understand how quick he can get in and out of range. I think we are going to see that a lot in the fight on sat, Froch can be mobile like he can be sometimes. He knows how fast Pascal is and hes not underestimating him in the slightest. He will have a very good game plan and its going to be very explosive!
Ive seen alot of Froch already and just watched some more rounds of Pascal and they really do deserve each other;D
Pascal seems to have the more technical ability but hasnt fought anyone and backed out of a Miranda match, Froch is also an unknown and has waited till hes 31 to fight a live opponent:rolleyes:

well stop having a pop at both of them and enjoy the fight. Both boxers are good on the eye to watch and it will be entertaining, thats the most important part IMO ?

I'm confident that Froch will win this. I think his power in the end will tell and Pascal does look shaky in the chin department.
Both have great natural ability so should be very interesting early on. Both are confident though not sure how Pascal will be in front of a Pro Froch crowd.
I've read Pascal had a good amateur career which Froch also had.
I'm just looking forward to the fight and Froch winning a World title.
That last video you posted Tam, Froch is shown a video of Eubank and Benns rematch, he looks at the camera and with no hint of sarcasm, says "im nearly there"

I think Froch is a little under-rated. He's never ducked anyone and he has been crying out for the big fights for ages. Calzaghe doesn't need him, and Inkin ducked him. He's beaten everyone he's been put in with.
I see him winning this and then getting Taylor. Taylor won't be able to avoid him and i'd love to see him in with Kessler. SMW is a good division with some good fights to be made.
I think people knock on Froch coz he seems arrogant. I think they get muddled up with confident and arrogant. He seems a quality guy, does a lot for charity...but he is massively confident in his abilities...and why shouldn't he be...he's unblemished!

There isn't an opponent on his record to rate him against the other top operators. To be fair it hasn't been his fault and he's worked his way up the rankings the right way, but talk that this fight will show that he's no.1 in the division is utter nonsense. I wish Froch had a world class trainer for this fight . The natural talent isa there but progress has been slow and he may becoem a stay at home champ. If he could follow in Joe footsteps that would be great but it means we have to wait another decade b4 he fights anyone good.
I think if he makes a statement beating Pascal, he should go to the States. He should run his mouth off after the fight , call out Taylor then go to America and get a proper trainer. He has teh tools but i question the true desire cuz he has been quite happy to plod along in Nottingham .
I think Pascal (as long as he don't bottle it) will look dangerous early. Froch is normally a slow-ish starter. His chin has always looked good but that's against lesser fighters/hitters.
There's some decent looking odds for Pascal in this fight.

not long to go now! i put on a fiver on 14/1 5th round KO for froch ;D. im confident that hes really going to prove himself and this is the real step into the 168 picture for him!!

It looks as if it'll iron out nicely stylistically. I'm actually looking forward to it. People can say what they like about big nose, but his hit AND GET hit style may be entertaining with an actual live opponent.Quote:

I understand many of the posters here think highly of Carl Froch and expressed what he does well: He hits with power, Above average handspeed, Good ringmanship etc.
I'm not too familiar Pascal although I vagely recall seeing him fight before Miranda beat Banks. What are the conventional criticisms of Jean Pascal? What will Froch try to exploit?
On the other side of the coin: What will be Pascal's gameplan? What advantages does he have?
