Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
Just wondering, how many are you?
You get:
Pac-ODLH
Khan-Fagan
Maccarinelli-Bum
Harrison-Rogan
I'm not, no way.
I might have been half tempted if Macca-Banks was still going through but it's a joke card for £15 IMO.
ODLH clearly beating the smaller man.
Khan shutting out the Irish guy who's only beat 6 fighters with winning records
Harrison blasting out the 37yr old rusty taxi driver in a few rounds.
Enzo Mac having a repeat of the Bobby Gunn fight.
Very predictable outcomes.
They'll probbably be showing a repeat on the Wednesday night too, they showed Hatton-Malignaggi on the next Wednesday.

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
How can bars not be playing the biggest fight of the year in England? I mean I live in Edmonton and there are numerous bars playing the fight.
-
Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
bars will be shut at that time mate ;) will be half 4 in morning
i have said this time and again that i always pay for a fight whatever I think will happen - cos you never know what you just might miss.
I don't agree with these prices and it stops the non-boxing fan from knowing who the main guys are (had a right job today explaining to guys in office who Pac and DLH were !)
But what can you do
guess i am just one of those mugs who Sky and setanta count on :-\

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
As I live in Enzo's hometown, I'm hoping a bar will have it on, but to be honest I'm definitely not buying it at home, cause it just isn't worth it. ODLH-Pac could be decent, but the British side of it has all the makings of a dreadful night, though I'd love to see if Harrison gets done over by Rogan, which would be the only part of it worth seeing.

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
mate the biggest fight of the year??? not to the general public it aint.. so no i there wont be many bars paying the big fee's to show this fight.
-
Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
I am.
I don't agree with the price but it's better than watching it on a stream that'll no doubt keep freezing/lagging.
It's Saturday night and if i went out i'd spend over £30 so i'm not that arsed about the price to be honest. Going to be a good night of Boxing.
Not forgetting Froch on ITV aswell.
-
Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
No not buying and I read a letter in Boxing Weekly where the person said that he could not record the fight on DVD because Sky Box have copyrighted it. If that is true how low can they go.:(

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
I guess I'm a mug then because I'm buying it!
In fact, I'm quite looking forward to it. You can say what you want about the oponents but it's still 3 british fighters plus ODLH vs Pac. Add to that Froch and its a decents nights viewing imo. ;D
I'm even staying in for the first Saturday night in years!!! :o

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
Just went to order this fight by remote control and it said "insufficeint funds. please call . . . " so i get put through to somewhere in Asia where he tells me it's because Ive ordered too many things this month ( just the Hatton fight ) so I cant do it by remote. He can do it his end for me however it will be an extra £1 administration charge. I started getting aggressive over the phone and he took the £1 charge off.
Just a warning guys incase this happens to you .

That's just the kind of s**t that big companies will try to stiff you on. Seriously, apart from in a field like satellite where you have a virtual monopoly, how could a company punish you with an admin fee for BUYING too many things from them???
Personally, if that happened to me, it tell them where to stuff it, and put a politely worded complaint letter to the British side of their complaints department who have more than the flexibility to remove a £1 admin fee.

Don't think I'll persuade my mates to go to aspers, i'll probably try walkabout, and if not well I'm pretty sure I know what the result'll be.

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
I'm a little worried about seeing the Pac fight tonight on Justin.TV. I had a nightmare trying to watch the football this afternoon; feeds were being taken down minutes after starting -I think they're on to us guys.
I remember reading in another thread that HBO have been getting heavy on this as well.

Re: Anybody from the UK buying tommorow night's PPV ?
Yes.
If I was to go out for the night it would cost a lot more than 15 quid so I think that it is not bad value.
But of course I would rather it for nothing.
