Good news for Toney.
I hope he looks good against Fres but to be honest I see it as a fight that could go either way.
I reckon he'll eke out a very uninspiring close and maybe controversial win.
I love Toney but he's done nothing in the past few years to suggest he can offer anything to the heavyweight division any more sadly.
I agree.
I think Rock just looked worse last time out honestly.
This is an easier fight though, Thompson was a bad style matchup IMO.
Hasim was lucky to scrape past Zuri Lawrence who had less than a week's notice. He's a disgrace to the heavyweight title.
Thompson would have beaten Toney with ease imo, probably won virtually every round.
Toney is sadly going to end up his career suffering his first ko if he carries on.
He really should retire.
toney wins imo
Fres may still be eager and a little tricky to keep it interesting for a while but then Toney starts to zero that right hand and can stop Oquendo.
Yeah I don't think Fres has a chance there really Toney still has that skill and he can still place his punches it's just a matter of what he's willing to do in there but he won't lose to Fres Oquendo. Oquendo isn't like a Batchelder who at least comes out of you and if you aren't in the mood to fight back much it loses you some rounds. Toney still has plenty left for Fres. Would love to see Toney-Haye.
Yes, a much easier fight for Toney, though I was really looking forward to how Toney might deal with a much taller HW in Thompson.
Toney might even score a rare HW stoppage here if he is in decent condition.
Just bumping the thread for the fight. ;D
That had to be one of the most pathetic fights I have ever seen. :furious2:
What is it with quick ending fights these past two nights.
Andre Ward looked pretty sharp, but the Camou wasn't much of an opponent either. ;)
Whoa! WHAT? Thompson throws a lot of punches sure, but he's crap. Toney woulda outboxed his ass. No way in hell he'd lose almost every round to an amatuer like Thompson.
I know Toney has disapointed us greatly these last few years.
But we must keep the JFAT Alliance strong. We must Bilbo.
Where are my guys at? :-\
Am I the only one watching these fights? :dontknow:
Is there anyone that can do a RBR for the Toney fight? Miles needs a hand, he's a fan of Toney's, but he can't get the links to work.
I've got one eye on the fights via streaming, one eye on work, and one eye on this thread. I'm good for a few remarks on the Toney fight, but it wouldn't be a rbr.
2nd round going. decent fight so far. fair bit of action. edge to Toney.
My feed is herky jerky, which makes for a boring watch. cpu usage is skyhigh. I won't be paying much attention.
Toney is wearing his trunks a little too low for my liking, you can see the top of the plumbers crack. :puke:
Man, I would hate to be one of those guys that Toney just landed on. :o
Well I'm actually kind of surprised, Oquendo is actually doing better than I thought he would, well at least up to this point, we'll see how the rest of the fight goes. ;)
I was just going to say, Oquendo much better than expected, he looks trim and in shape.
I said earlier this week that Toney would probably only just barely scrape this.
He's shot and no suprise at all if he loses.
He's likely to get stopped if he carries on in his career.
He would lost virtually every round to Tony Thompson.
Sad to see as I love Toney, wish he would retire
Just walked in,If you hav never been to Superior grill......GO!Very good stuff Has it looked like this the entire figght?Hey Toneys a bigh Blob,What do ya knoe.
Just started watching this during the intermission in the Canucks game. Has Toney looked this shitty all night? I saw the replay where he was rocked in the 11th...
Well this was close fight to me, but I have to give the edge to Oquendo.
Toney Has That lok...."I blew it huh" ?? How did the undercard go?Toney shoul retire and diet
Gift for Toney?
Got to feel sorry for Oquendo, unlucky to lose against Holyfield and very unlucky tonight.
Toney should retire, when he fights a top fighter his proud record of having never been stopped will end as the ref has to step in and save him in the late rounds.
Boxing is rigged.
Toney gets the SD.
I havent seen the fight, but from what Ive been hearing while trawling the forums is that Toney looked far from impressive. Once a Toney fan, always a Toney fan, but his time may well be done.
I will need to watch it myself tomorrow when I find a copy of it, but its made me a bit depressed.
Carrying over The Showtime card in here ??Yuri Foreman starting...get the pillows.Love the secret Santa ;D
I'm as big a Toney fan as any on here but I've thought he should retire for a while, it wasn't even what he did last time, Rahman just looked horrific.
I missed this by the way, but it doesn't surprise me to hear it was close, maybe controversial.
Yuri Forman has mass movement and is busy....butt a puuuuuure technicaljab boxer. He is shutting Moore out.Mosy excitement is the ring card girls dressed as santas helpers.
Holt-Hopkins could be interesting, could be an absolute snoozer, not sure.
