Thought i'd start a thread that houses the most powerful and memorable movie scenes ever to be put on film.
I'll start.
Here's one of the most tense 5 mins ever laid down on film. Acting second to none.

Well you can't have this thread without including two scenes from my all time favorite actor Clint Eastwood, which spawned two of the most famous movie quotes.
BTW, Friday I was loving it, because Bravo had a little Clint Eastwood movie marathon going on while I had my day job off, so I got to watch Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, Sudden Impact, and started watching Dead Pool, but I had to leave for my part time job, so I couldn't finish watching it.

Hey Diane...if its Clint you want. Here is another classic.
The final duel in the movie 'For a few dollars more'..although Lee van Cleef owns this one.

That's a great scene.
God do you know how many Clint Eastwood scenes I could post here. I could have a field day. ;D
That's a great movie, and a great scene, but my favorite scene from that movie is the actual bank robbery, and shoot out scene. If you have the surround sound cranked, you feel like you're in the middle of all those gunshots, with the echo sounds of the guns ringing through the city and everything. It's great!
Good call TM on the Marlon Brando "I coulda been somebody" scene
The scene in The Empire Strikes Back, where Luke is told by Yoda what He sees in the cave, was taken in by Himself Profound.
Glad to see Im not the only guy who doesnt view Black And White as old. One of the coolest things Ive gotten to do. Mr Smith Goes To Washington is my fave film,in an old movie palace in Doyelstown PA I got to see it on the big screen in all of its glory.

I've heard it said that people remember the bad times better than the good times. With that in mind, my nomination for this thread is the final scene in Chinatown, starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. Sticks in my mind like a bad memory. So sad. Great movie though.

The Knights Templar who escaped from the King of France and his evil plans for them all with the Roman church using the Papal inqusitions in Europe against the Knights for all their riches and knowledge; were welcomed into Scotland, the people of Scotland and Robert the Bruce refused to denounce these great men and so the whole of Scotland was disbanned from the Catholic Church
The Knights dressed in white rode in and fought along side the Scots in the battle of Bannock. ;)

[quote=Trainer Monkey;650808]I thought the part at the end of I, where Michael has ordered the deaths of the heads of the other families, and the guy getting a massage gets shot through the eye after putting on his glasses, and the blood pours out, I thought that showed style.
That scene still makes me laugh so hard that my eyes tear up.
You just have to love the Lassie scene too.
