Mayweather wins by tko.
It possibly goes to a decision.
To be honest I think this turns out to be a one sided knockout When Mayweather is the bigger man he becomes more offensive instead of boring and he is too accurate and good to lose this fight.
pac chasing floyd would play right into PBFs hands and eventually later on in the fight he would begin to get picked off at will and maybe even stopped.
Mind you i picked marq to beat pac both times and ODLH to be too big and strong for him saturday so who knows!!
hahaha i predicted someone would make this thread after the ODLH fight ;D. Floyd by SD this will def go to the scorecards it could be by ko though i didnt think he would ko Hatton but he did, i really wouldnt be surprised if he did. or if the judges go by workrate like they did with the ODLH vs PBF im sure they will give it to pac even though most of those punches wont even land.
PAc would be too fast against MAyweather. Mayweather's rusty after his retirement while PAc is becoming better. PAc's defense has improved a lot and skillwise,he's becoming better than MAyweather, IMO.
PBF by UD
PBF will be hurt, but will never be knocked down; has a good chin
Pac may be knocked down but will still continue the fight; has a big heart
IMO...
imo PBF would figure Pac out pretty soon and outbox him, similarily to how Morales did in fight 1.
PBF will dance around and wait for spots and pick at Pac. Pac will lose his poise that I was so impressed with against ODLH. However, no fight against Pac is easy.
Pac forces Floyd to throw punches and get off the defensive train. Floyds ability to lean away from punches to the head and cover his body are not going to work as well with a guy with freakish long arms who is also quick as a cobra. Pac takes him down the stretch, and wins.
On another note. I would like to not see Floyd anymore. Let him stay retired.
Dream match is done with, bring on the HISTORIC MATCH!Pac will retire floyd after pac brakes his shoulder roll defense. I can't see that working on pac. Pacs misdirection punches are too fast and come in dozens. If floyd doesn't move around and tries the shoulder roll on pac, his going to get caught with more then one big shot. Floyd wlll need to work hard and hope his reflexes hasn't decrease. I would love to see this fight ;)
After EM vs PAC I, how many have had to re-access their fight predicting abilities, after any of the Pac featured fights thereon?
I'd say the quick learners reserve judgement, or at least be conservative. For to pick against him, requires a crystal ball... any other method especially if its just hate, could be foolhardy!
After all against all the odds and the cynicisms, Emmanuel Pacquiao has not lost since Morales vs Pacquiao I. And that a long time in boxing timeline.
Pacquiao (pa kee yao) pakyaw tagalog 1. wholesale. 2. the sale of goods in quantity, as to retailers, 3. the purchase of an inordinate supply of goods diminished in price, as to maximize on savings.
Both Mayweather and Hatton beat Pac.
...coming right off the weekend where pac beat the brakes of de la hoya it's easy in the excitement to think pac could beat floyd....i don't say he couldn't ever but not now, none of these guys would. Now say 5 or ten years from now maybe. Pac vs hatton looks like a much better fight.
Tough fight, I think Floyd would get Manny with counter-punches & would try to follow the JMM mode for fighting him, factoring in that he has a stronger chin. 140 or above & I think Floyd would definitely win, below & I think Manny would have it. Mayweather by a close UD (116-112 or 115-113 something like that)
I think this fight would be a great one. Each man possesses a style that the other would have fits with. It's an epic match-up with an epic background storyline.
I see Mayweather coming out with a decision but a close one at that. I expect it to be close because Floyd won't take a tune-up, he'll go right to Manny. Manny should have the advantage early on, but Floyd would get stronger and faster as the fight went along. Now think about my last sentence and remember the same thing goes for Pac.
I understand Manny's attack overwhelms people and eventually catches up to his opponent, but Floyd doesn't get hit. A perfect offense vs a perfect defense is always an interesting match-up. Me being a athlete knows, "offense wins games, defense wins championships."
Mayweather is just too good. De La Hoya would have been a few years ago he just drained too much weight and was an old man
Floyd is way too good for Pac . For Manny to win he would have to outwork Floyd and rough him up close like Castillo did the 1st time. I dont think Pac is capable of that . He will get picked off and knocked out .
Takes a very special kind of fighter to force floyd out of his rhythm for 12 rounds.
Does pacman have that in him......not quite sure
would pay a LOT of money to find out though
anyone know bob arums phone number?? ;D
Tough fight to call - certainly no clear favourite.
My gut feeling is that PacMan would win on points.
Please let this fight happen.
Yup. The only way to beat technical fighters is to get them out of their rhythm by launching an all-out kamikaze attack, just as Ricky tried to do in the early rounds of their fight (he had some success there by stunning Floyd). But you'll need lots and lots of energy to sustain that kind of attack. Ricky said he got tired at around the 5th.
Fast southpaw Zab Judah had early success in his fight with PBF... I think PAC can duplicate that and sustain it to the later rounds...
I pick PAC to win this one... ;)
.
I thought about that too but then again Pac has has improved. He's no longer a guy that only had a straight left and all he did was charge his opponents. When he fought Morales for the first time that is pretty much all he had. The charge attack with his left straight. All Morales had to do was step to the side and counter. No wonder the whole crowd in that arena was going "Oooooleeeeeee" like a matador does with a bull by stepping to the side when the bull charges. Second fight Morales admits he thought the first fight was boring and decided to exchange punches with Pac, bad idea.Quote:
imo PBF would figure Pac out pretty soon and outbox him, similarily to how Morales did in fight 1.
This kind of things happen when a young prospect beats a big name opponent who's old, worned-out, and on his way out. Fans see their guy as the closest thing to god forgetting that that big name was old, worned-out, on his way out, etc. Even Pac and his team knew this.
I don't think any Pac fan would dare themselves to say they can see Pac loosing vs X guy:rolleyes:.Quote:
I pick PAC to win this one...
i always enjoy hearing all your "fantasy predictions" guys. It has always been ACCURATE. Like the Dela Hoya vs. Pacquiao fight.
I know, but we that is not the only miss-match in boxing history. We have seen Camacho vs Leonard, Tyson vs McBride, Ali vs Berbick, De La Hoya vs Chavez, and now Pac vs De La Hoya. So yeah, young guys facing old worned-out drained guys IS A MITMATCH, I totally agree with you and other Pac fans :) . Pac already faced a young guy in his prime that beat him twice: Marquez.Quote:
hahaha so sweet..the previous fight should have dubbed as THE DREAM Miss-MATCH lol
It's good to see lots of passionate Pac fans out there but I just hope that if Pac looses nobody commits suicide:rolleyes:.
I like Mayweather and is one of my Favs, But I pick Manny in this one. He is quicker than mayweather and punches better with snap, Yep I see Pac possibly stopping mayweather with one of those left hands he don't see coming.
Would be a really great fight to watch, but I think Mayweather is definetly to crisp and accurate a puncher. More accustomed to the weight as well, really. Manny has the style to make him cautious for sure, but I wouldn't say his punches would have more steam, or at least effect, and Floyd would have little trouble landing in my eyes. We still really have no idea whether Many can take a good shot at WW, Oscar had hardly anything on his shots in there. I would just see Floyd having more options, he could box or press forward imo, Manny would be catching alot of shots trying to press forward and even when he did it may not serve him. Late TKO for Floyd.
It will be interesting which matchup ends up happening for Pac next: Mayweather or Hatton. Hatton is the easier and potentially more exciting fight for Manny. The Mayweather fight would be a stiffer challenge and more interesting fight. Floyd is as smart, skilled, and fast a fighter as anyone in the sport. He also posseses the best defense of any fighter. Floyd is also incredibly well conditioned...so he will not fade and will have energy to dance around the ring for 12 rounds. Also, Floyd has proven that all out pressure fights against him wont work. Manny has certainly developed more to his arsenal than just offense...but he would have to be tactically at his very best to beat Floyd. Floyd, however, has not been very active recently...so he to would have to be sharp as ever to beat a physically imposing fighter like Pac. If i had to pick the winner, i would pick Floyd...because of Mayweather's smarts, skills, and equally fast hands and feet.
Mayweather by a close UD. Floyd has the best defense but I think his offense would win this one for him. Pac's left lead is just undefendable and Floyd's defense I think is vulnerable with that punch. his left arm is way down on his belly. I think Pac wins the early rounds being the aggresor throwing and connecting more punches but Floyd is to smart not to adjust and he would be more offensive. A think Pac would go down flash at the middle of the fight. that would be the fight's turning point. Again, Floyd wins by UD but it should be very close.
Same thing. Even if we heard that Klitschko went down on weight and Pac went up to face each other I just can't see Pac fans going "No way Pac wins that one" specially now after beating A GREAT regardless of him being old, worned-out, drained, far from his prime, etc.Quote:
You're highlighting/quoting the less relevant statement... Can you comment on the following:
Mayweather by TKO juzz like Hatton. Mayweather's speed compares to none. #1 P4P before retirement.
LOL. I know you're a hater Chino. You just can't admit it.
Then you'd say, "I don't hate PAc... I Just hate his pac fans....."
You know we are decent and would always be decent regarding our love for Pac. You're putting us in a bad picture always as if we're crazy about Pac. I just know that you're still hating us after you were proven wrong with your predictions against our country man.
LOL. Grow old Chino. Reading your posts makes me conclude that you're a hater. I know you're mexican and you would always support your fighter just as we do. PAcquaio KOed Marquez how many times and it seems you're forgetting that. First fight was a draw and the second fight clearly goes to Pac. Let it be that way coz that's how it was judged.
Don't be a cry baby calling the DLH-Pac fight a mismatch in favor of Pac coz majority of us here was calling it a mismatch in favor of ODLH.
Can't you see my sigi? It was because I had a bet with Danny and I chose DLH to win that fight.... and I am the #1 pac fan here.
Pacs win over ODLH was a great achievment, it is almost ridiculous that a guy who started at 109 and fought at 130 only a few months ago could beat an ATG at 147 and a former alphabet 160 champ. It is arguably the best win of the last few years on paper. But in reality maybe it is not. I like Pac as a fighter, he is clearly the number 1 P4P active fighter at the moment. But if im being honest after watching the fight ODLH had nothing. In fact i think any 147 fighter in the top 20 could have fought better than him, especially a young hungry guy. I think guys like Judah, Quintana, even Alfonso Gomez could have done as well as Oscar. Atleast they would have fought back a little and maybe attempted to use their size to rough up Pac a little.
I guess what im trying to say is that Pac's win altho great is not maybe as good as it seems on paper. In fact i think his last win over JMM is more impressive. His wins over Morales and Barrera were too.
Just cos he beat DLH dont mean he'll beat Floyd or even really have any greater chance than he did before. I think his best chance is if PBF has become rusty, or takes him too easy. If he did fight Hatton first and beat him then I may become a little nervous in my prediction.;)
But for now i think if Pac and PBF fought in the next year or so FLoyd would win a close tactical UD. If im wrong i wont mind and i'll be happy to eat my words.
i'm actually going with pac. just want to sway the odds in pbf's favor. ;D
really, it they fight next pbf would be at a disadvantage after being laid off for quite some time, and i'm sure pac's camp would ask for the fight at a catchweight surely not at 147lbs.
