Well a bit of scary personal news...
... gonna have to go get checked by the doctor, cause been having kind of spasms in my fingers, at times they twitch without any reason and well last time i went to the doctor they said that they wanted to run some tests, cause he said it can very well be early signs to Parkinsons, if it is this well i'm already shitting myself cause everyone knows this is a very difficult disease to live with, and hell i'm only 23, na well was just hoping to get some support from everyone here, cause well honestly been pretty freaked lately.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
I hate to say it,you learn to live with it.
Your mental capacities arent dimmed at all.And its usually polar. My right hand is steady as a rock,my left hand some days twitches like a fresh caught mackerel. I mean in extreme cases you end up like Ali, but it usually comes down to which half of your brain took the damage.I dont block to the right very well,so my left hand twitches. It isnt bad it isnt degenerative, and when I concentrate its totally functional.I can jab and block like nothings wrong, the only time its a pain is when I first wake up.Thankfully when I wake and shake in the bathroom,I hold with my right hand;D

Even then dude,I cook. Its not that big of a deal,so you saute with your other hand. And like I said, when you concentrate, you can get the twitch under control. Im not saying its enjoyable to have your hand develop a mind of its own,but its workable with. I mean when Im cooking,I dont have a problem with the hand, because Im concentrating on the business at hand.
Its just concentration, and trust me,I know its a pain in the ass,but you can keep it in check.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
If you start hearing loud noises and seeing flashbacks of being knocked down by Ivan Drago, you might have brain damage. But dont worry by your next comeback fight there will be no signs of brain damage and no one will even mention that you had brain damage in Rocky 5...er..I mean... after your last fight. .

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
One thing at one time.Does not mean the worst case scenario...and like you said bud, your only 23.Thats good, getting a handle on things very early.Hang in there bud.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Stay up son. Don't jump to conclusions until you receive the doctor's prognosis. At which point, read up on it, and figure out how to compensate. I'm confident you'll push through.
-
Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Yea I'm with the others, in that not to read too much into yet. Do what you need to do to get the facts of it sorted, could be a lot of things for sure and end up nothing at all...and certainly, good luck.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Dont get down, guy, its the worst thing that you can do. Even if and when the Doc's prognosis is upsetting, be sure to get a second one, or a third one if needed be.
Nowadays, in the days of Health Insurance (scams and what have you), it is not a bad thing to question where the interest of the health provider "lies". I am sure you have heard countless sob stories on this regard, I need not remind you. However I need to remind you that....
Stay positive Man! I am sure you will come out of this well.
Good luck, and Happy Holidays!

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
dont worry yourself mate
a million reasons as to why this could be happening. Its our natural instinct to fear the worst but 9.5/10 it isnt.

Don't get yourself up in a roar before you know the final news....A bit scary I know but take it from someone who had some serious medical problems this year and a cancer scare.....I drove myself nuts with thoughts before I knew the final outcome......
Could just be a nerve problem in the arm or a neuro prob that is easily fixable......
Just sit tight for the moment...
I hope all works well in the end but if it does turn out that way then you will learn how to cope...My brother has Parkinsons he is 33 has had it since 27.....Tough at times but not the end of the world mate
Everyone is pulling for the positive side

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
my grandma was paralized on the left side of her body, she slices onion holding the knife in between her arm and waist then the active hand is holding the onion!
i know its hard but she managed! youre young and will probably adapt fast. but i think its just a twitch we wish you good luck on your exam.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
thanks for the support and well i get checked tomorrow, and have the results by next week, will keep everyone posted

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Yeah like the others said, don't jump to conclusions. Nerve issues can come and go. A few years ago I went through a stretch of a few months where one eyelid twitched like crazy, with involuntary blinking also. It was worrisome to say the least. My doctor had no meaningful diagnosis. Then it went away and never came back.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Out of curiousity if you wrap your twitchy hand around your cock will it jerk you off automatically?
If so what the fuck are you moaning about, I'd pay good money for that

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Good luck man, can't really say anything different to what's been said. Try not to worry yourself although I know that's easier said than done.
I'm sure you'll pull through ok.

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Next time someone pisses you off, give them the finger with the left hand. When they try to give you shit, just let that turkey go to market and point at it with your right as if to say, "Not my fault."

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
thanks to everyones help, and Bilbo straight up, you can go fuck yourself dude

Ah come on man I'm only having a joke with you, you havn't even had any tests yet. There's probably a 90% chance that it's nothing to worry about whatsoever and even if it is bad you should't lose your sense of humour.
Being able to laugh in the face of troubles is what gets you through things, if you were British you'd have laughed along with me ;)
Seriously buddy hope everything is fine with you, but don't worry like your going to end up like Ali or something, you've just got a finger spasm and having a check up. Chances are you'll have forgotten all about this in a few months, in the meantime put it to good use and get jerkin, that's what I'd be doing :p

Re: Well a bit of scary personal news...
Stay positive man, the nervous system is complicated and it sounds like it could be a number of things, dont dwell on the worst case scenario. Keep ya head up.
