Pacquiao will visit Manchester on March 1 then London
Pacquiao would start the promotional tour in Hatton’s hometown of Manchester on March 1, after which he would travel to London and then return to the US for additional stops in New York and San Francisco.
British boxing fans, what are your thoughts of the no. 1 pound-for-pound boxer on the planet visiting your place soon??
;)

Some may, but I certainly won't. Don't look into booing as a sign of disrespect, it's mainly his fellow Manchester City fans just taking their football/soccer mindset into another sport. I'm not a football fan though and Manny is a boxing superstar and like many I will be cheering for the event.

Same thing I'm thinking... There might be some booing but nothing personal... It will be just for fun... :)

Yeah I'll deffo be there. I'll have my car by then and Manchester is 30 mins away from me if that. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Especially as I'm not going to the fight in Vegas :( I'm gonna take a glove and see if they'll both sign it too.
And thanks, I might just PM Saddo and see what he can do. I'm be more than happy to ask a few questions.

Tomatoes is a bit far mate. I know the English have got a reputation when it comes to Hatton's fights but they wouldn't dare throw an object at the opposition. The worst would be booing and a load of verbal insults ;D

I'm confident my boy will win.
But I tell you one thing if he loses I'm glad he loses to a boxer like Pacquiao. Who is flashy, exciting and doesn't talk shit. Unlike PBF. His fans are respectful as well.

Likewise. I'm glad we're still having mutual respect bro. Goodluck to our fighters.

I'm also very confident on my boy...
But like what you feel, losing to the man at 140 is no shame at all ...
May the best man wins...

Re: Pacquiao will visit Manchester on March 1 then London
I am looking forward to the promotional tour that will be held in London and Manchester this weekend as I have received tons of emails from English boxing fans, who are one of the most passionate in the world. Even if it’s going to be hostile territory for me–as Ricky Hatton comes from this boxing-crazy country–I know that I will enjoy every minute of my brief stay there as I have heard a lot of great things about England, its notable people, its amazing culture and its proud history. After my trip to England, I will proceed to Los Angeles so I could kick off my preparation for Ricky Hatton, who is one of the world’s most exciting fighters. Hatton is a very dangerous opponent as I have seen most of his high-caliber fight on video and you cannot take somebody like him lightly. This is going to be a big challenge for me. This early, I am confident in saying that I will train harder for Hatton and I won’t be surprised if I end up in a much better shape than when I fought the legendary Oscar De La Hoya last December. Once I report for training camp at the Wild Card under my very capable trainer Freddie Roach, my sole focus will be training. I will be eating, breathing and living Ricky Hatton from the day I start my training camp. I assure fight fans that when I get into the ring on May 2, I am going to show my best–as always–and ours will be an explosive and exciting fight. And most importantly, I am dedicating this important fight to my beloved countrymen and to all boxing fans from around the world.

I dunno whether to drive now GAME. I might just get the train from Liverpool Lime Street as I get free train travel. I'm sure you'll find a space tho, the Trafford Centre is huge.

Yeah Im at the gym tomorrow but I think this warrants giving it a miss for once.
Im gonna ask the lads who Im out with tonight if they are up for doing Manchester in the morning but if not then I'll have to f*k it off. I'll only end up getting escorted off again like I was at the Lewis fight anyway so its probably wise.
I wana make sure Im available to see Barrera smash Khans face in!

Not during the London tour...god the fans were so boring in the auditorium the day Hatton and Mayweather were in town. (Then again it was supposed to be media only).
The guys tried everything they could to get a reaction.
Floyd came out donning the union jack..no response..he held it up over his head...no response....It was so silent at one point that Oscar starting singing 'There's only onnnne ricky hatton' to break the awkward silence!!
I'd like to see Manny and Ricky again - If it's in the o2 arena again I'll drive down there and check it out.
-
Re: Pacquiao will visit Manchester on March 1 then London
i imagine there will be a lot of people there but not specifically for the conference - i imagine there will be loads out doing shopping and then realise hatton is there and hang around - so it will be fn packed!
