Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
It's pretty stupid how people are now suggesting Haye is scared, he is prepared to fight anywhere.. he just wants the chance to prove himself. Although unfortunately I doubt Wlad will want the fight now, as fighting at Stamford Bridge would of been the main attraction for him.
He'd probably now be better off - financially - fighting some other contender.
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Is it just me or does this sound an awful lot like the Pac-Hatton saga?
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
The fight could take place in Hayes living room and he would still get killed by Vlad. But I give Haye all the credit in the world for trying to keep the heavyweight division interesting.

Maybe! In his living room! But they will be fighting in a ring, no weapons other than fists therefore Haye will KO Wlad.
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Well they can fight in my living room if they want... I may even jump in and give Wlad a few myself. :p

Hmmm, that living room comment seems familiar
http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfor...ye-update.html
kingfrnk won't be happy about you plagiarizin his living room piece ;), but im with rjj tszyu, I reckon Haye can take him, I think people see that one loss & don't realize that he actually is pretty damn good & has speed like Wlad will NEVER have dealt with
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Wladimir Klitschko hasn't delt with Haye as a whole package, but he delt with that speed against Chris Byrd twice and against Sultan Ibragimov. Its more Haye's overall athleticism and ability to do unorthodox things that will give him a chance against Wlad, but people aren't taking into account also how much better Wlad is than anybody Haye has ever fought, he is faster, way bigger, and way better technically than anything Haye has ever been in with. ALl in all this is a great fight that could go either way, and in a big way.

In addition Haye has never felt power near what Wlad will deliver (both in a jackhammer jab, left hooks, and straight rights)...........

He can't keep it interesting when no one will fight him.

That's true, but if one huge right hand lands, all that goes out the window.
That's why it's exiting though.
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Sounds like Haye has over played his hand.
Some else already pointed this out, but I think Haye is really looking to cash out.

This isnt the same Wlad that fought Corrie Sanders....Sam Peter, Calvin Brock, Lamon Brewster, Ray Austin all went in thinking all they have to do is land one big shot and they all found out by crushing KO it ain't that easy......Peter, brock, Brewster, and Ausitin are all good HW punchers and they landed some shots with little effect.....

The living room comment was all me. And with that said I would bet the rest of the house that Vlad knocks out Haye. Haye does not have a great chin. He reminds me of a Tommy Morrison. He will always make it interesting because he has a punchers chance but his glass jaw will let him down.

He's better than Morrison though, he's already cleaned up at Cruiserweight, and I think he has better than a puncher's chance against Wlad, he may not be the favourite, but he still has a decent chance in that fight. Probably not against Vitali though

Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
David Haye has bluffed himself out of a title fight....Wladimir has said it doesn't matter where they fight, Wlad has fought in England before.
Wladimir has had (and won) over 50 fights I don't think it matters to him where they fight.
At this point in time Haye has about as much power to negotiate a contract with Wlad as Audley Harrison

Bullshit Lyle! Whether Haye has earned his shot or not is up for debate, but to say he has no power to negotiate is just bollocks. He is the man most people are talking about wanting to see fight Wlad and he probably brings more money to the table than anyone else right now.

That is ridiculous...so the British want to see Haye fight and the majority of Americans want to see Haye get his ass whipped. I bet you Cris Arreola would bring as much to the table as David Haye.

Haye is lucky to be getting a title shot....Obviously Wlad is NOT afraid to fight Haye because Wlad could easily say he only wants to fight his mandatories.....Wlad is going out of his way to fight Haye.....Haye is ruining the opportunity by asking for too much and drawing up a deal to fight in the UK and than changing his mind......Plus Wlad wanted to fight sooner and is waiting to fight Haye........Haye is not well known in the US, hasnt beat any world reknown fighters, isnt a superstar in the UK....what is he bringing to the table???? I would tend to agree that Arreola would be a more appealing fight to Americans so Haye better just get the deal done........

Arreola is an exciting fighter, he goes for the KO, and he's an undefeated heavyweight...David Haye isn't even an undefeated cruiserweight and his fan base is coming from a smaller place than Arreola who can not only appeal to Americans but the hispanic community as well.

There isn't going to be any difference in the license fee HBO pay for the fight. Arreola, last seen getting floored and almost losing early at domestic level, is a tub of lard with a left hook, but he'd still make 25-30% of the purse for the fight. Haye will fight for UK TV money only, something that isn't even on the table for Vlad vs. Arreola. So if Vlad fights Haye it's like he makes 100% of the Arreola money versus 75-80% of the same amount if he actually fights Arreola. The Klitschkos are clearly bottling Haye.
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Kirkland you are dillusional why would more people be clammoring for an untested china chinned cruiserweight to get a title shot when we have a well proven solid UNDEFEATED heavyweight waiting for his chance???
Well I have a couple reasons #1 Haye knows he has no damn chance and so he's trying to squeeze out as much money as he can #2 The British are known for having high expectations of their limited fighters: Ricky Hatton, Frank Bruno, Henry Cooper, Audley Harrison, etc etc etc....the list does run on ;D
If Haye truly wanted the fight he wouldn't have cared about the particulars because if he had confidence in winning then he could write his own ticket but obviously he isn't as confident as you are
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Nobody anywhere is clamouring to watch Vlad fight anybody. Given the choice between a domestic level tub of lard and an ex cruiserweight champion Haye edges it, but the Klitschkos are obviously terrified of him.

You dare to question my Infallibility!
How well does that always work out for you? I can understand you not wanting to accept reality here after both brothers have run away from getting in the ring with Haye but facts are facts. Haye called both these guys out, got in their faces, they said they'd definitely fight him and now they're making excuses and fighting a couple of domestic level nobodies instead.
-
Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
Well Vitali has a MANDATORY opponent in Juan Carlos Gomez....Wladimir just tried to make a big time fight with David Haye but apprently Haye doesn't want to fight so I guess Cris Arreola is the next best thing.

Hmmm you said different a few posts above but at least now you think Haye is the better fight overall.
Haye DOES want the fight it's totally 100% obvious he wants the fight.

Please can I ask you Lyle? What does Wlad's ballsack smell so sweetly of?
Oh yeah and when do I ever get over excited by british fighters? I always judge fairly like when I said Mayweather would beat Hatton. I just honestly believe that Haye has Wlads number and I'm not alone!

Frankenstein Senior was originally claiming the Haye fight was bigger than the belt and he was going to fight Haye regardless of whether the WBC sanctioned it. Then He bottled out of fighting Haye by hiding behind hias mandatory.
Now Junior is bottling out of fighting Haye too by fighting a domestic level American. Haye is offering to go to Germany and effectively fight for free but Junior would rather pay 25% of the promotion to fight a big fat nobody instead. What a sorry pair of so-called "champions."

Oh, give me a break. Both Klitchko's would be happy to shut Haye's mouth for him, but business is business. Haye's demands are ridiculous given his current standing. He is basically unknown in the US, having only one main event fight on either HBO or Showime. Wlad, on the other hand, has been a featured fighter on HBO for years now. Even Haye's domestic appeal in the UK is questionable as his fight with Barrett barely drew 6000, whereas Wlad sells out in Germany regardless of the opponent. He clearly brings more economic muscle to the table, but Haye and his handler's refuse to be realistic businessmen. That is why the fight is having problems, period.

Re: Haye willing to fight Wlad in Germany
i think david needs to remember that he has no right to face wlad and if he really wants the fight he is going to have to bend over and take what ever wlad wants to give him.
i dont agree with the hole if you beat me you got to fight big brother, but didnt david say thats what he wanted to do.
and please dont go on about david being undisputed cruiserweight so he get to jump the que, heavyweight is to much of a jump, in weight and in class.

And it's not like comparing David Haye to De la Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. or even his fellow countryman Ricky Hatton is fair either......David Haye isn't a big money fighter yet and there it's no safe bet that he will become one either.
Wlad can put butts in seats in Germany and in the US as can Vitali....David Haye has trouble getting support in his own country

I agree. Busines is business. So why are the Klitschkos giving 25% of their next promotion to another fighter when Haye will fight for effectively free and let them keep 100% of the money?

That is not what is going on oh insufferable one....Haye is in a position to take a title fight vs the best fighter in the division and he's going to bluff his way out of the fight and then blame Wlad for not accepting his ludicris demands

Haye is offering to fight in germany and not take a penny from the promotion other than British TV rights which would be negligible for a vlad vs. Arreola/similar fight. So he's offering to fight in Vlad's country for effectively nothing, agreed to two options after the fight, etc. The bottler Klitschko is instead negotiating with a fat domestic-level American to give him 20-25% of the same promotion. Fighting Haye would earn him 100% of the promotion, fighting an alternative around 80%. Why is he doing that?

:lolhaha: How gullible are you? When a fighter says "I'll fight him for free" do you actually believe him? Saying and doing are 2 different things. Haye is just spitting nonsense to cover up the fact that he and his team are killing the fight. There is no way he would fight for just the UK TV money. It's hilarious to think that some people actually believe that fabrication of the truth.

UK TV money is big money. When Hatton fought PBF SKY had something like 2 million PPV's. Obviously that isn't expected of Haye yet but he still has a big enough fan base to make a good amount in britain.
Also he is ultra confident of beating Wlad and if he does he would become a big star overnight in the way Calzaghe did after Lacy. It would be a huge stepping stone!
